My husband and I had just finished an exhaustive 2 week trip through Alberta and BC shopping for a new RV. Knew what we wanted and how much we needed to spend to get what we wanted. Did lots of research beforehand and had mapped out all of the major dealerships. Could not find just what we wanted and were on our way home to Terrace empty handed then noticed a unit listed on Chemo RV's website at their Quesnel location. Called and asked if it was still on their lot (experience has been that websites are not kept current) and yes it was. Told them we'd be there the next day to see it and if it happened to be sold before then they agreed to call us.
The unit was absolutely perfect, and the Salesman (Steve Davies) was excellent. We were pulling our own 23 ft travel trailer and purchasing a 26 ft fifth wheel. We knew that having a hitch installed would be part of this (or an additional) purchase and would take some extra time, so we were prepared to spend a few days having this all organized. It was a Friday, early afternoon when we made the deal and signed the papers. Then here's what happened - they arranged to get our truck into their shop right away to have the hitch installed, the General Manager, Steve Rutledge gave us his personal vehicle to drive the 15 minutes into town to go to the bank and then grab ourselves some lunch. When we returned, they had both units parked side by side and door-to-door so we could empty our old trailer and get everything into the new one while the hitch install was being finished. This took us a couple of hours at high speed and meanwhile our truck was done in the shop and they hooked it up to the fifth wheel. They offered us the opportunity to stay on the lot overnight if we wanted more time. We declined the offer because we wanted to hit the road. However, by the time we finished everyone had gone home except our Salesman Steve. He stayed behind to help out. And then,.... just when we thought we were done and could let Steve head home to his family - he starts with the training session. He went over (again) every single feature, switch, toggle, compartment, etc. in our new unit just to make sure we were familiar and comfortable with how everything operated. It was 7:30 when we pulled off the lot.
We're in our 60's, so suffice to say we've made our fair share of major purchases over the years and had lots of experience with sales people (homes, property, vehicles, boats, RVs, etc.). So you can trust us on this one - top notch, genuine, excellent service all round (Sales, Parts & Service). Throughout our trip, we covered anywhere from 2 to 5 RV dealerships a day, and all I can say is that some of those larger outfits could learn a lot about customer service from the guys at Chemo. If you're looking for an RV or RV Service, I would highly recommend checking out these guys first. read more
