The Pines Amcal Pharmacy is one nice shop! The lighting is bright and the shelves are all in…read morealignment. Every item is in its correct spot and there isn't a speck of dust or dirt to be seen. They stock all the usual pharmacy items such as toothbrushes, creams, insect repellant, soap and bandages. They also have the prescription counter up the back complete with friendly pharmacists. If that counter is busy you can head up to the counter near the door and someone can help you there. They tend to have a couple of staff on the floor amongst the aisles as well. This is great because you can ask questions more discreetly without other people in the queue behind you listening in. Down the left hand side of the store they have Maybelline, Loreal and make-up products. This area is set out very well and it is easy to find what you are looking for. The pricing was a little higher here than I have seen elsewhere but the pharmacy type products seemed on par with other shops.

Since then, I have used this place many a time. For me, any stubborn headache or severe toothache tends to conveniently turn up post 6pm, when most chemists have closed leaving me unable to get strong pain killers (or on one occasion, a sudden late night attack of hay fever. Completely random I know!) It's great to know that this place is open until 12am every night.

You can't find anything. The local chemist has closed up shop for the night, so if you want anything even slightly more powerful than whatever your supermarket sells, you're not expecting any relief. Well, thankfully, Nunawading Pharmacy is open til midnight. These guys have saved me on more than one occasion. There isn't anything particularly nice about running out of whatever medication you're taking to keep you healthy, so it's good to know there's somewhere that you'll be able to get prescriptions filled after 9pm. The service is pretty typical of an average chemist ("have you had this medication before?", "are you allergic to anything?"), but it's really the 9am-12am (except Sunday, when they close at 11pm) availability that I go there for. In fact, when you think about what it would be like to work in a chemist that's open that late, opposite a really busy McDonald's, the staff are lovely.

The shop is owned by Diana Nowak and it is run really well. There are always plenty of people working and you will be welcomed when you first enter the store. There is a great range of products on offer, with the typical pharmacy vitamins and sunscreen to lovely moisturisers and soaps to make you feel better. The pharmacy is near Target and is one place I will always trust to get good medical advice from. 100% recommendation.

Later at night, I found the 2 packs in the packaging stuck to each other with a small hole, look like it has been melted. Obviously it is a faulty product and unsafe to use. Next day I took the product back to the shop. I explained the situation and looked for a replacement but the staff asked me to contact the manufacturer directly for any warranty. While there is no contact or warranty information shown on the packaging, I raised a concern that it should be the responsibility of retailer, not consumer, and I would lodge a complaint at their shop at consumer council. The bald man in suit who looks like a boss suddenly became so angry. Shouted at me getting out of shop, pushed me, and took my phone. I managed to take back my phone and he later asked me to go back to shop. God knows what's going to happen so I just left and seeked for security help. He soon left the shop, and the staff there refused to respond. The entire scene should be recorded by cctv in Forest Hill Chase. I understand there could be dispute in refund / replacement matter. While I was willing to settle the matter with consumer council, the violence and freightening behavior is ridiculous. After all, this shop product is always higher RRP, less variety, irresponsible staff, and crazy boss would probably leave me the worst shopping experience.

In the height of the flu/cold season last year I went to My chemist because my daughter had a fever…read more& a dry cough. I went there as it was the closest chemist to where I had parked. The place was crowded. Aside from selling pharmaceutical stuff they are also a clearance place for cheap irrelevant stuff like, toys, toilet paper, fragrances. As they were short staffed & there were long queues the beautician thought she would help out & served me. She tried to sell me the most expensive products they had on stock. I called my dad who is a GP who told me that me the stuff she was trying to sell me was not going to help. They are a shonky, greedy business!

After shocking experiences at My Chemist & Chemist Discount Warehouse ( please check out my other reviews) it was such a relive to go to Pharmore & get good, patient advice from well trained staff.
