I don't live in Cheltenham but needed a quick appointment before a…read morefamily weeding and as I was down in Chelt seeing a friend, saw the good reviews, so thought I'd give them a call on the hope of a cancellation. I LUCKED OUT!! Managed to get a short notice appt with Fi, the senior colour technician and cut by Hannah. Fi was so utterly thorough, I couldn't have asked for more. Checking pictures I had brought with me, checking exact colours I wanted, the xact look I was trying to create, ratio of colours (2 or 3 blonde to darker), where I wanted the blonde to start, whether I wanted darker roots, brighter, what kind of toner I wanted, condition of hair, how my hair took to toner, how long my usual salon leaves it in for (in case my hair takes funny to toners, as some do) - she was fantastic. I am so happy with my colour - and I am PICKY!!! It is exactly what I wanted. I also liked the fact she washed my hair herself rather than getting a junior to do it, because washing hair when you've had highlights is not just washing hair, it is about using the right things, for the right amount of time and particularly important if you have a toner. I certainly appreciated that this activity wasn't fobbed off to someone else. She even gave me a head massage, which was lovely. Hair was cut by Hannah - who did exactly what i wanted (blunt mid length cut with shorter pieces around the face). Very nice girl. Did a great job but the cut is always secondary to the colour for me, as getting blonde right is a real skill. Thoroughly happy with both the colour and cut, as well as service from the reception team and Stuart Holmes himself, who I chatted to briefly as he was cutting a (super rich) client next to me. He was lovely and friendly and seemed good fun. There was a good atmosphere in the salon, the decor was nice, the place was clean, modern, good range of drinks and magazines. I could tell they would be able to cater for both the more trendy and more mature clientele, judging from the very mixed clients they had in at the time. I liked it so much, I have booked in for a couple of months time, even though I live in Manchester! Couldn't recommend highly enough.
