The best hair salon in Cheltenham by a mile; believe me I have tried most of them and it took me a long time to find a salon that I was always happy with. Each visit is a pleasure, my stylist (the lovely Anna) is totally consistent in delivering the goods and I receive regular compliments on the cut, condition and colour of my hair. In addition to the capabilities of the staff, the atmosphere is the salon is so relaxing, never frenetic. However busy they are, you never feel that you are on a conveyor belt, which was my experience in several other high profile Cheltenham salons. I'm very impressed with the team; front of house staff as well as stylists. SH have won awards for training and deservedly so; I have never before seen such effort put into the all round professional and personal development of the younger staff. The beauty salon also has lovely therapists, and an excellent selection of treatments and products. I love the cut & colour of my hair since I discovered Stuart Homes salon a few years ago. The best salon I've found in Cheltenham, and I've tried quite a few! Found them as they were the only one that seemed open on a Monday most Cheltenham salons are closed that day. The building layout makes for a really relaxing experience the reception, salon and hair washing rooms are all separate. I've found that some salons where everything happens in the same room feel a little like you're on a conveyor belt. I always feel well looked after at Stuart Holmes. Kat is super a great listener and provides good advice about what style you should go for. The only tiny negative I'd add, which would be great to see rectified, is that some of the more junior members of staff e.g. those who wash your hair could benefit from learning from more senior colleagues in terms of paying attention to the customer and not each other, and making every client feel really valued sometimes I feel like there's quite a bit of giggling going on etc. read more

( I am a new customer recommended by a friend ) Desperately needed new perspecitve/direction/colour for my hair. Initial consultation good, Stuart v. quickly worked out what would work for me. Autumn understood & agreed re the colour. Finally the big day arrived - had looked forward to it for 3 wks!! Stuart's cut & Autimn's colour were both spot on for my shape face & hair type. Went from mid to v. short!! lovely blonde colour complimenting my skin tone. Big change - absolutely loved it. Definitely would recommend. The customer service is excellent, the whole ambience is very friendly & relaxed, a lovely 'buzz ' about the place the staff were all smiling - a good indication of happy employees too. read more

I have never enjoyed having my hair cut as I could never find a hairdresser that I liked, or who cut my hair well. I have found both at this salon and with good prices, a lovely building and friendly staff you can't really go wrong (although if you try and book at short notice because you suddenly realise you need a cut you may be disappointed - it's so popular it is best to book well in advance!). It was recommended by a friend after we both moved to Cheltenham a couple of years ago and we've both never gone elsewhere. read more

This salon has a lovely atmosphere; busy but not as chaotic as some of the other big hairdressers in Cheltenham. I have been there a few times and have been very happy with my haircut. Can't wait to get my hair coloured there too! They also serve a great hot chocolate! Would highly recommend. read more
