I initially visited for a gel manicure, however the polish was applied so far from the nail bed that within a week it already looked grown out. As a result, I had to have them redone just two weeks later. When they were redone, the application was untidy and several nails chipped within a week, despite being sold a nail strengthener add-on. I've had gel nails for years and have never experienced chipping like this at any other salon they would usually last 3-4 weeks without issue. I was told the strengthener would cost £3-£4, but was charged £7, and it clearly did not deliver any benefit given how quickly the nails chipped. I also had a spray tan which was applied very unevenly, leaving noticeable patches of white and hands that were different colours. I returned to the salon the following day to raise this, but was told a refund would not be provided and was instead offered a redo. Unfortunately, this was not a practical solution as I needed to leave within the hour to go away. All of this occurred with different members of staff over a period of less than three weeks, which reflects a consistent lack of quality and standards across the salon. Overall, I expected a much higher standard of service and results. I would not recommend

Not only is…read morethe shop run by the sweetest husband and wife couple, but the atmosphere is really relaxing, excellent refreshments, and it genuinely is a truly enjoyably experience. Also not too girly - my husband is now a pedicure convert! And the best thing is the price!! I actually live in London and would rather save my mani and pedi time until I'm back at Kim's nails as the price is such good value, not just compared to London but for Cheltenham too.
