My mom was sent to the hospital on Thursday morning and by the following Monday they gave her bed to someone else. Never once did anyone from the facility call us to see if she was coming back or if they should hold a bed for her. To make matters worse i went Monday evening to pick up her belongings after she passed away and I was told her stuff was in storage and the person who had the key was not on the premise. It ended up that I was able to get her belongings after pitching a fit with the nurses. I should not have had to deal with the extra stress 2 hours after the loss of my mom. A few other things are they seem understaffed as I'm sure many of these facilities are. There were many times her meals were cold or looked like garbage on a plate. We had high hopes from seeing the pictures online but disappointed with how it looked when she arrived. Sadly we did not have time to visit the facility ahead of time, I feel there would have been a better option for our moms care.

I'd never been to a therapist before but knew I'd need to find someone I could respect and trust; a kind person who would firmly tell me the truth in a nonjudgmental fashion, and someone who would empower me. I wanted practical cognitive behavioral therapy with the option to augment with hypnosis. Denise met all of these qualities. Denise has years of experience and her insights always pleasantly surprise me. She recommends useful books, techniques, and assigns homework for me to practice what I've learned. She'll often suggest specific actions I can take to improve a situation and we've even role played to prepare me. Denise's coaching skills make all the difference putting these insights into constructive action. My wife and I have also met jointly with Denise for couples counseling. I was initially apprehensive, but relieved to discover Denise is a good mediator who doesn't take sides. She listened and guided us through conversation, focusing us on what we could each do individually to become better partners. She's good at discerning when it's best to be direct or drop "hints" to get the message across without leaving anyone feeling defensive. I say this both from my personal experience and from the perspective of someone who works in a related field and understands how rare genuine compassion and true skill can be when combined. Helene embodies both. She is not only caring, but deeply intuitive -- the kind of person who doesn't simply listen to your words, but understands what sits beneath them. She goes above and beyond for those she helps, meeting each person exactly where they are, without judgment or pretense. Her professional background is extensive and her knowledge evident, yet she leads with empathy before expertise -- and that balance is what makes her remarkable. Her office is a reflection of her spirit: calm, grounded, and safe. It is a space where vulnerability feels possible and healing begins quietly, sometimes even before a word is spoken. Helene doesn't just provide support; she helps you find tools, insight, and strength within yourself. She guides you through the hard work of change with patience and clarity. Because of her, I've experienced measurable growth -- in my own self-awareness, in how I handle challenges, and most importantly, in the renewed and healthier relationships I now have with my child and my husband. I will always be grateful for her presence, her wisdom, and the kindness that defines every moment spent in her care. Thank you Helene.

I have a loved one with advanced dementia who has complex (and sometimes difficult) behaviors and needs. Rebecca and Sierra literally found more than a dozen homes for me to tour (at my request!), adjusting the search to include different environments and care situations. During the tours, they were my advocate, asking smart questions and also understanding (sometimes immediately) when a home would not be a good fit for my loved one. Throughout this long process, they never rushed me. They had my loved one's best interest in mind the whole time, and offered to continue arranging tours until we found the right place. Their help doesn't end with a placement. Sierra has called me multiple times to check in and get updates.
