Dr. Thomas is kind, caring and very smart. I have been seeing her for 5 years. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Chelsea Thomas DO was my oncologist for 2 years. She was argumentative when I told her what my side effects were, saying the medication she prescribed didn't cause those side effects. I told her I saw it online. Chelsea & her nurse Christy scoffed at the idea of looking online. The next time I brought in the paper with the side effects listed from the pharmacy that came with the medication. She said those papers list everything. So I printed out the side effects from Mayo Clinic & included that to her in a letter telling her why she would no longer be treating me. She neglected me from July to December all the while my tumor markers were going up she was pushing me off on other people. She attacked me for missing appointments when it was the medication she prescribed that caused my arm to break so easily & give me gi issues. She had zero sympathy even though she missed more appointments than I did. But she had people to fill in for her. I didn't have that luxury. She has made no effort to get to know anything about me. Treated me as a disease & not a person. Every appointment she is at least 30 minutes late and the chairs in the exam room are rock hard. She doesn't care for the patients. She cares for the bottom dollar & it shows. She ordered genetic testing on me which the insurance denied & even though we tried to appeal twice we were out 5k. We're a one income family. But when we first talked about it she asked what our insurance was & felt comfortable enough to go through with it, that the insurance would pay. Thomas needs to be retrained in bedside manner and needs to bone up on the side effects her patients can get instead of arguing about it. read more
