I ran across Chelsea Lindman by introduction from a client of mine. I am a mortgage broker based in Walnut Creek and my client had come to me initially to get pre-approved for a purchase in San Francisco or Marin. They had told me that they had already chosen a Realtor to work with on the purchase and introduced me to Chelsea. From the first phone call with her, I was immediately impressed by Chelsea for several reasons; and I could write out the list but it would probably take up the entire space on this review! There are 4 things that really stand out to me that every buyer should demand in their agent and Chelsea excels at all 4: 1) Due diligence and her ability to anticipate potential challenges throughout the process- This is KEY to ensuring a smooth transaction and Chelsea does this as well as anyone I have worked with. 2) Attention to detail- I have never been vetted as thoroughly by a Realtor as Chelsea did to me about our client's pre-approval letter! This is a GOOD thing! Most Realtors hardly ask me any questions regarding a pre-approval that I have done for their clients and Chelsea ran me through the ringer to make sure that the financing was iron-clad. You WANT your Realtor to vet your lender to make sure that all "I's" are dotted and "T's" are crossed. If not, you can be setting yourself up for a failed transaction. 3) Ability to compete for her clients- Once our mutual client found a house that they wanted to offer on, she did an amazing job of collaborating with the listing team to understand what they were looking for in a "winning" offer and coached our clients on what it will take to get their offer accepted. From my experience, most Realtors aren't straight forward enough with their clients on what a winning offer looks like and we end up submitting several losing offers before we get one accepted. This winning mentality that Chelsea has will get you the home that you want fast, save you money and save you time. 4) Fantastic sense of teamwork- Even though Chelsea and I hadn't worked together before, she wanted me to be involved in the process of presenting our clients offer to the listing agents. Because we presented our clients offer together the listing agents knew that we were in sync, they felt great about our client's offer and ultimately that is why they chose our offer over the competition. Our clients now own their dream home in Marin because of Chelsea and I cannot recommend anyone better if you are looking to purchase or sell a home in Larkspur/Mill Valley and surrounding area. Well, two weeks into the process of looking for our first house (with Chelsea as our guide), I turned to my wife and said "There is no question we couldn't do this without Chelsea and I can't imagine a better agent". Chelsea was an AMAZING agent. Given how much information buyers have online, and how competitive it is in the Bay Area, a real estate agent has to do more than just show her clients around town and push contracts. She has to understand what matters to her clients, be clear and honest about what's realistic and, probably most importantly, know how to work an offer and a deal. This was the third house I've purchased in my life (hopefully my last), and Chelsea is as good as it gets.
