Pick up a pair of tongs and a round aluminum tray and go around to make your selections. One Pina filled, one Custard filled, one sweet soft muffin, and one tasty sugar coated croissant type. At the counter the breads were put inside a brown paper bag and then a plastic carry bag. The cost came to less than a ten and a huge tip jar got an entry. I also tried out their giant conchas! $1.50 per taco and $1.50 for a concha! I would say for $1.50 a taco this place is pretty worth it! They are street taco size but they really stuff it! I liked the al pastor better, had more flavor and came with pineapple bits! The concha was decent, I'm not a huge bakery guy, it had nice flavor and wasn't overly sweet,'it was a little dry for me. Tiny little bakery with mind-blowing tacos and burritos. We stopped for lunch. The price is right and the setting is just what I like, humble but proud. The baked goods are the real deal, my apple turnover was spectacular. My Al pastor burrito was even better. It was enormous and stuffed with all the best stuff. It was $9! The tortillas tasted homemade, but if they're store bought, they're still extremely fresh and I'd bet still hand made. I typically do not like corn tortillas, but I could eat their corn tortillas all day. They're soft, but hold together just enough to keep most of the meat contained. The carne asada was juicy, but not greasy, that's a tough thing to achieve! I had the infernio salsa and it really just sealed the deal of deliciousness! I wanted to give them a try and help them out in the reviews department if all went well but unfortunately it was the worst cake I had ever tasted. The cake was unlike your usual cake. This was dense like it was cornbread and the milk was not your usual sweet three milks. It smelled like play doh and tasted like you used straight evaporated milk and nothing else. It was bizarre. I finally had an opportunity to visit and try this place this morning. Got there about 10:45am Saturday morning. They start making their tacos and burritos at 11am. I waited a few minutes to try a variety of their tacos. All were tasty . My favorites - pollo and shredded beef. The gentleman behind the counter was very kind and patient to explain the variety of pastries they had. I ended up with a pumpkin, custard, and pineapple filled ones. A sweet bread and sweet cookie like pastry. I had a chance to try a hot drink with cinnamon. A small and clean establishment that provides freshly made Mexican pastries, tacos, and burritos to the locals.. This small little Panaderia is located in the shopping center where the Habit is located. It's a small little shop with a nice selection of bread (if you go early in the day) and even has a selection of food to order from. I've been a couple times and the guy working the counter each time has been attentive and does a pretty good job for manning a shop mostly by himself. I've only personally gotten the tacos, but for a shop that's only started selling them about a year or two ago they're not half bad. They have decent flavors and the salsa has a nice little kick to it. My only issue is the barbacoa tacos can get a little to wet causing the tortillas to fall apart, but for 1.50 they're a pretty solid offering if you're in a pinch. They also have a decent selection of bottled and canned drinks to choose from as well. I'll have to come back and try some of the pastries. read more

Bought tamales for my family for Christmas and I must say I was pretty disappointed. The masa was WAY too thick and there wasn't nearly enough filling. I seemed like a pound of masa and a teaspoon of filling for each one. On top of that they were extremely spicy. My family and I love spice but it was the kind of spice that made it unenjoyable. Without anybody having to say anything, I can tell nobody in my family really enjoyed them. First of all, I'm Mexican, born and raised so I think I have vast knowledge in this area and I am so unbelievably disappointed and embarrassed that this is the one Panadería in Huntington Beach and Chelos chooses to represent us like that. Now, the pan review - the donuts are the only good thing there but I mean, you can get those anywhere. Las conchas were bland, dry, and pretty stale. I had everything and nothing stood out. Ohhh but here is where they sent me over the edge - the tamales. What on god's green earth are those? The quality of the masa is awful and they CAKE IT ON. No pun intended. It's mainly masa and the tamales are huge but not a good way at all whatsoever. The service was nice but they only take cash so just be aware of that before you go in. Worst tamales ever!! $36 for a dozen, 6 Pork, 6 Chicken and if you pulled the meat out of all of them and stuffed it into a soda straw, it would barely fill up half of the straw. My FAVORITE Mexican Bakery now serving Tacos! Was shocked and thrilled to see the taco sign hanging outside today (7/9/21 12pm), blew off sushi lunch at Matsu to check out what my yummy bakery was doing new. Order board on counter now shows 4 choices of meat to be done with either Tacos or Burritos. Tamales available on Sat. and Sunday. I ordered the Asada Burrito and a Pastor Taco, burrito was huge, both were YUM! Ordered those 2 items and two cans of diet coke and enjoyed it all at one of only two outside tables.
