We liked it so much we went back a second time. Night One: My friend had the cheese enchiladas, and she loved them. I had the chicken soup and it hit the spot! Loaded with chicken and had great flavor. I love avocado in my chicken soup and was pleased it was included as well as some pico de gallo and limes...mixed it all together in my soup and it was delish! Night Two: my friend had the Chicken Enchiladas Suiza and I had the Pizza Ala Mexico. The service was prompt and friendly, and our food was served quickly. We were treated to a large basket of chips with salsa. The chips were delicious, but I wish the salsa had a little bit more flavor (some chopped onion, cilantro and lime would have made me happy), it was kind of bland.

The nachos were well presented and not messy looking. They made these nachos look good. They did not disappoint. This was the cleanest place of the Mexican places in the area. My wife had a great experience as well. I think this might be my go to place for Mexican going forward. The food was well cooked and not flooded in grease. When we placed the order you heard them cooking it on the grill and came out hot. Love this place. Will be back. Oh get the fried ice cream as well it was the perfect end to a meal.

Anytime I can have a cooked meal versus fast food is winning! Honesty, the pricing was not that bad. We ordered the mocajete, which is for 2 people. It's giant! The meat is fresh with a great selection of steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo. Also, there is grilled cactus, onions, and Mexican cheese. On top of this giant feast, both of us got a side of rice, beans, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, and tortillas. Our food was so delicious and the staff here is so nice! The restaurant isn't about frills, but the food was good. I love supporting family owned businesses! We sat outside since we had our pup with us. Since we had to drive back home, we had to skip on the margaritas.

I met a friend at Casa Amigos for lunch. Before going, I checked with a few friends who live in…read moreBerea and they said that it was their favorite Mexican restaurant in Berea. I arrived at 11:30 (they open at 11:00) and the restaurant was already busy. As with most Mexican restaurants, the lunch started off with complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were a little disappointing and stale. I was expecting fresh chips (since it was 30 minutes after opening), and I believe that they were left over from the previous evening. The salsa was very good and flavorful. I had the Pollo Casa Amigos ($12.99) from the lunch menu (grilled chicken and California vegetables on a bed of rice with cheese sauce). There was a very generous amount of chicken. The meal was very good. Full of flavor. Vegetables were cooked perfectly. I also ordered a side of fresh jalapeño peppers (fried). The fried fresh jalapeños were very good. As with all jalapeños, some are hot, some are not (which the restaurant has no control over). These were not as hot as I hoped, but again, this is not the fault of the restaurant, just an observation. Whenever I am in the Berea area and wanting Mexican food, I would definitely eat here again, but it's your typical Mexican restaurant. The only reason for the 4 star rating is due to the chips being stale. Other than that, definitely worth a stop!
