A good friend posted a photo of a burger he ate a couple of weeks ago, and I knew I had to try it for myself. It's always a treat to discover small businesses born form a passion for good, affordable comfort food. This seems to be the feel and concept for this non-glitzy food joint.
We got there at exactly 5 in the afternoon to have "meriendinner." With futile attempts to pace myself, I got the Double Quarter pounder as persistently suggested (more like forced upon me) by my friend, while he got the cheeseburger. Adorably served in chopping boards, the burgers were beautiful and definitely photo worthy. Right after taking photos of our food, we devoured the burgers to the last juicy bite. It was GOOD! I paired it with cherry float, which was a breath of fresh air in the summer heat. We ended the meal with their version of the skillet brownie, which was served in an aluminum bowl (similar to the ones from Thailand). With my first bite, I didn't find it mind-blowingly good Though the taste grew on me and I suddenly found myself eating more than my half of the order. So it must have been good, right? Hahaha! Who am I kidding? It was definitely yummy! So was the pistachio sansrival, with the butter compound really tasting like pistachios. Awesome discovery indeed! read more
