Wok Way, unlike many others in this city gets it so right. This small unassuming restaurant seems a favourite of Chinese expats or French-Chinese families - always great sign of a restaurant's authenticity. I ordered the wok of tofu (another rare sight in bordeaux) and leeks on rice. It was absolutely amazing the friendly staff even made a few suggestions when I asked for help with the menu. I was recommended to go try Le Pacifique, and their chinese food was on another level then most of the ones in America are. I loved almost everything that I ordered. I was always a fan on the smaller places. This restaurant sure did not dissapoint either. It was deisgned nicely and the employees were great. I wish that I could have eaten there more than once. The wine list is good and relatively inexpensive. You can also bring wine, I believe, check this with them, to make sure. There is a "discovery menu" which will make an evening special for you and yours. They will ask you what your preferences are (meat, fish, etc) and make up the menu at your table, course by course. You will taste seven dishes. Excellent! The only sour note is that there is a musician playing and singing French songs (for tips) which doesn't really go with the Asian vibe and frankly, diminishes the experience rather than augmenting it. Fortunately, because he goes from table to table, that part doesn't last too long. My advice is to go as early as possible, that way you'll miss most of that distraction.
