The restaurant changed ownership about a year ago, and the new owner has clearly put his heart into making this place exceptional. He checked in with us multiple times throughout our meal and even came out to chat with us afterward to make sure we were happy. That kind of personal touch is rare and genuinely appreciated. The menu has something for everyone -- individual dishes, hot pots, and unlimited meat BBQ. The rotating vegetable banchan is a standout; they use whatever is fresh at the time, so it changes regularly and always feels thoughtful. The unlimited sides like chicken wings, rice cakes, cheese corn, and dumplings are all fantastic and kept us coming back for more. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive throughout -- you never feel like you're waiting or forgotten. If you've been on the fence or written this place off based on old reviews, give it a fresh shot. You won't regret it!

I had to asked about 7-8 times for more yum yum and teriyaki sauce. Just bring some dang sauce!, why you trying to protect it?!?!? The interior is nothing special either. Needs updating. You can tell when they moved in they just took most of what was already there and repurposed it instead of making it their own.

This was one of the better ones! The chef was engaging, enthusiastic and entertaining. So many places now don't have any special knife skills or even talk to the guests, but our chef did- funny jokes, decent knife skills. Even did the egg in the hat that I haven't seen in years. Our server had a special touch with hot hand towels before dinner and the salad and dressing was served to plates at the table so you could request more or less ginger dressing. The special part was the food though. The onion soup had layers of flavor- a delicate sweetness. Really enjoyed the rice, noodles, veggies, shrimp and filet. Each had a different, unique flavor that the chef handled well. Nothing was over cooked, over sauced, or underdone. I liked the addition of the red potatoes with the steak and the mushrooms with the shrimp too! My only complaint is $4 for a soda. Seriously? That's a bit steep. The restaurant was decorated as you would expect. Clean. Easy entry and throughout the restaurant for handicapped accessibility. Could have a wheelchair at the table without much concern for accommodation. Only thing of note on accessibility was a rock path you step on right in front of the door- it is a little bumpy and could be a tripping hazard for someone who doesn't pick up their feet well or possibly a bit difficult for a walker or wheelchair, but not impassable, just something to be mindful of.

First time trying Kobe Steak & Sushi as we are new to the area and trying to find our "go to"…read moreJapanese place. After eating here, I think we have found it! The food was amazing! I ordered the steak & chicken hibachi with double rice in the place of veggies. I asked for a lot of yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce. Our waitress brought over a container of Yum Yum and three decent sized bowls of teriyaki sauce. It was perfect! My wife had sushi (she's particular about her sushi) and she said this was the best she's had in a long time. She said you could tell it was fresh. She was particularly impressed that the volcano roll actually looked like a volcano and had shredded crab and all on top of the actual sushi rolls. She must have enjoyed it, because walked up to the sushi bar and complimented the sushi chef. Kobe has two dining options, you can choose to do the hibachi style with the chef preparing your food in front of you or you can choose the "dine in" option. We chose to "dine in" and were seated on the right side of the restaurant. The hibachi tables are all on the left side. Kobe is a nice, clean place. You can tell they take pride in the restaurant. My wife enjoyed that each table has its own little lamp. Our waitress told us they are a small business, not part of some chain. They also order their fish and other stuff for the sushi bar every other day to ensure freshness. She told us they had actually received a delivery that day where they ordered several thousand dollars worth of fish, etc. Give Kobe a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!
