My family enjoys this restaurant. When we first moved here I was so excited to see there was one in our area. The food is always good. The service has been great every time we come. Called to order take-out. Receptionist answered and transferred me to "take-out desk." Held for 8 minutes, then disconnected. Called back, receptionist said they weren't busy at all and transferred me back to the take-out desk saying she would walk over and tell him to pick up. 6 minutes later he answered, was very "non-different" acting, with the personality of a stick. Finally placed order and got a text saying pickup at 8:and replied to the text with the pickup parking space number. Same guy that took the order strolled out at 8:30 and said "You place a order for pickup?" Yes, to be picked up at 8:15. He came back out at 8:45 to take my payment, then brought me the incorrect change, shorting me by about $4.00. When I pointed that out, he took the change back and brought my food back out 1t 8:58. We have drinks to start us off at the bar. Our bartender name was Destiny. She has a nice hand for pouring. After being seated at our table for two we got complementary honey butter croissants. Very nice and flaky. It's not bad we ate it. My homegirl had the pork shops with red beans and rice with corn and I had the 8oz sirloin with coleslaw and baked potatoes. The steak came out rare when asked for med-rare. Sent back and it was fixed. We ordered drinks and one called Cheddars Painkiller was so sweet it couldn't be stomached. We ask them to swap it for something else and the manager came over to resolve by giving us a refund. Wasn't necessarily as we just wanted another drink. We ordered the salmon dinner for four at Cheddar's, which came with two sides from Cheddars, located at 225 N. McPherson Church Road, Fayetteville, NC and the experience was very disappointing. We waited almost an hour for our food, only to receive overcooked, dry salmon that was clearly past its prime. The rice was extremely salty, to the point where it was difficult to eat, and it seemed like the dish had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The customer service was just as disappointing. When the employee came out for curbside pickup, the only thing said was "here you go," with no greeting, apology, or acknowledgment of the long wait. It felt rushed and unprofessional. For a family-style meal meant to serve four people, the quality, service, and execution were unacceptable, especially after such a long wait. It was a football Saturday about a week ago and they were busy, my party of 4 just happened to walk-in at the sweet spot and were immediately seated. Every staff member from the hostess, cook, waitress and bar tender were amazing! When my crew goes off we have a lot of individual requests for our meals our waitress handled all with grace and brought everything in a timely manner. Definitely not the same. This place has gone down hill. I drove down to Fayetteville from Raleigh. I should have stayed in Raleigh. The quality of their food was terrible. Nothing was hot. It was kinda warm like it had been sitting for a while before coming to the table. They were out of a few items. The broccoli & cheese casserole was NOT good. Used to be delicious. Today it was very cheesy, but not in a good way. My grandson said his food was just okay, kinda messed over it. My Caesar salad was mainly white lettuce. The best thing was the croissants. The restaurant floor was dirty where we sat. Like they wiped the tables & wiped the food/crumbs to the floor. The service was good. Kadence was wonderful. Great personality. It was my birthday. One thing all Cheddars location need to do is get with the program with Texas Road House, Longhorn and The Cheesecake Factory to name a few and give out unlimited bread. We drove up to Ft. Bragg to do something me grocery shopping at the commissary and came across Cheddar's. We didn't know what to expect but we're adventurous so we stop in. The menu is pretty straight forward. We were seated right away and our server (I forgot his name) was very friendly. He brought us out some tasty croissants with our drinks. For an appetizer we had the Coconut Shrimp which came with a side of dipping sauce. The shrimp was cooked nice but needed something else. Not sure what. Maybe some salt or a little heat. The dipping sauce threw me off when I saw it because of the color. It's yellow which made me think Queso but thankfully it didn't contain any cheese. It had a sweetness to it and almost tasted like plumb sauce. It was pretty good. My wife ordered the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie. Wow. That was a nice meal. Loaded with chicken and vegetables with a beautiful flaky crust. It came with a huge side salad which she couldn't finish and she actually took some of it home. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken and got the double portion which has two chicken breasts. Yeah, that was quite a lot of food. It came with a side dish of gravy, green beans and mashed potatoes. Damn, that was good. The breading on the chicken was nice and I love their green beans. Mashed potatoes were ok too. The gravy was tasty and was perfect. After two new couples came in about 15 minutes later and the hostess took them directly to a table, I questioned why we were still waiting. They asked for my name, which they had not done previously, to find it on the list. They then took us to a table. After about 8-10 minutes the waitress came to take our order. We each ordered a cocktail and the waitress took our food order at the same time. Another approximately 10 minutes, our food was served. No cocktails, no rolls. I needed to ask for the rolls and my husband had to ask for his salad side (which should have been served before our meal). Cheddars does have a wrap for being just another chain restaurant with the same bland flavor as the next. However, last evening surprised and titalated all of my senses from the surprisingly delicious drinks, to the queso and salsa appetizer, to my bourbon infused entree...everything was where and what is was supposed to be. Because of the social distancing it was going to be about a 30 minute wait for a table, so I decided to sit at the bar. I was warmly greeted and got a Texas tea by the bartender/waitress. I told her that I had a coupon for a chips and queso with salsa, but there was no way I would be able to eat that and my meal. She was more than happy to bring me a box for that and I was able to enjoy my main entree. I decided on the 8 ounce salmon with bourbon glaze. For my sides I got double broccoli as they were out of green beans. Omg the bourbon sauce was sweet, tangy, and a tiny bit salty, but just the right amount. It kept me wanting more, but I stopped myself with a few sips of their Long Island Ice tea. Both of their drinks were just delicious and the price was amazing! Both under $6! It was a little bit more for the top shelf for the Long Island, but it was so worth it! I definitely will be back for more food and drinks! read more

I havent been to Cheddars in years and I weep for the Cheddars from 10 years ago. Their menu had homemade food like Spaghagnia (a lasagna/spaghetti hybrid), chicken fried steak, and pot roast. What they have now is Cracker Barrel quality served in an Outback environment. The service was sloooooooooow and we never once were given refills. I wont be back....not enough quality for the price and the service just sucks any joy out of the dining experience. read more

On Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at approximately 8:05pm, my family and me (party of 7) visited your restaurant in Fayetteville, NC. This was our 1st visit here. We entered and were greeted immediately. We had to wait a few minutes because of our party size. The hostess was cordial and welcoming. Within minutes we were seated and the hostess informed us that they were "out of croissants". We were crushed ! The croissants are one of our main reasons for visiting CHEDDAR'S (and the Painkillers). We decided to stay. Our waitress came over within minutes to take our drink order. All of us expressed our sadness with the missing croissant's. This was the start of an amazing service provided by "Natalie", our waitress. Her timing throughout the night was impeccable. Her super friendly attitude made all of us feel like she was family (even though she was performing her job, very well). Natalie was an outstanding credit to CHEDDAR'S. She truly should be commended. Each and every one of our requests were met with a smile. She made several suggestions for appetizers, entree's and dessert. Natalie really made our night at CHEDDAR'S, a night to remember. My wife was so enamored with Natalie that she gave her a hug for giving us such great service. We will definitely ask for her on our next visit to the Fayetteville, NC CHEDDAR'S restaurant. soooo I took my two daughters here on a Saturday because I wanted to try something different.. I should have left soon as our waitress brought out a dirty high chair for my daughter who is 3. I asked her can she clean the chair and she took the chair and said she'll replace it with a clean chair (she didn't) she literally brought the same chair but it wasn't dirty this time it was WET from her cleaning the chair I had to now ask for napkins so I can DRY the chair.. we waited 40 minutes for our food, when I asked for plates for our biscuits the guy rolled his eyes (OKAY MR. Princess) the lady brought the plates which were also wet lmaooooo each time I called the waitress she took FOREVER to come! Oh I have pictures and videos of the chair.. the food finally came out and it wasn't even hot just a warm food that seem it had been sitting out so the rest of the food can cook my daughter kept asking to go to mc. Donald's and mannn I should've went.. I did not leave a tip. Food and service are amazing! We were shown to our seats and as we were seated, we were served buttered croissants as an appetizer while looking at the menu. We ordered the cheese bites appetizers, a classic cheeseburger meal, and two buffalo chicken wrap meals. The food was served between 15-25 minutes after we ordered it and is amazing! She basically told us to leave without saying it. Someone else walking out said try the bar so we did. We sat at a dirty high top table that nobody attempted to clean. The bartender was very preoccupied with the current party already happening in the bar area but she took care of us when she was paying attention. Our food was made incorrectly but no one checked to see if it was or wasn't okay. Saw the manager she did not stop by the table to address the party, check on our food or see if everything was okay. We drank our drinks partially ate our food and left. I love cheddars but won't be coming back to this one. I am very upset about the food , service and cleanliness of this establishment. read more

Well where did I start, we made arrangements Wednesday with the manager for a 65 birthday party with 25 guests, a private area was asked for and said there was no problem. When we arrived Friday we were seated in the entrance area to the back room with our guests seated in different booths and one table. There were three birthday party s in our general area. So the manager was called and came over, we were told there was nothing he could do for us and apologized. With no where else to go we asked if we could turn the booths around so everyone could see each other.. he said no problem. Service was really slow, 30 mins to get beverages, after 45 mins went by our complete party got their beverages. When our last table got beverages they were in plastic cups and was told "they ran out of glasses" After waiting for 40 mins for food to arrive, we asked for silverware, server told us "they ran out of silverware" and provided half of our party with plastic Ware. OMG The food we got had no issues and was hot. We were comped nothing by management for all the issues. What we hoped would not happen at cheddars, sure did happen.. Won't be going back for anything.
