NEVER saw Lorie again after she took our order (except to see her deliver food to other tables). I had to go to the hostess station to ask for the check. They told us that the waiting time to get a table is approximately an hour so we just decided to do some errands while waiting, they texted me after 30 minutes and we were rushing before we lose our reservation which will only last for 15 minutes as per them. Server is a little bit aloof but other than that, all the food that we ordered were so so delicious. Upon our arrival we were told a 45 min wait time. The Hostess was cordial but not overly friendly. We ordered the Maui Margarita while we waited and that drink is SO GOOD !!!! YUM !!! We were seated in 30 minutes. We overheard that they are short staffed but we were attended to promptly. Jasmine was our server. She was great. Cheddars is affordable. I usually stick to getting the salmon dish which I find to be good. They have a wide variety on their menu but it pretty much consist of southern style entrees. They do have healthier options and a variety of drinks to include alcoholic beverages. My husband ordered a pasta dish which was full of spaghetti but lacked flavor and sauce. I haven't been here in a while, so I hit it up for dinner tonight. Promptly got seated, which shocked me since labor shortages have made restaurants wait list crazy nowadays. I ordered the chicken Dijon with mushrooms, and sides were baked potato and broccoli casserole. I was a little leary as every restaurant I go to. I normally stick with the same things every time, but today I went all crazy and got this new dish! Disgusting!!! The food was your run of the mill heat and serve, but the restaurant was cleanliness was unacceptable. There was no one cleaning the floor after someone left their table, and they expected diners to just sit in filth. I ordered the trio appetizer and the spinach dip had plastic in it! It took until the end of our meal for the manager to even come with me having to ask for him to come again. When finally arrived, he justified it by saying that it was JUST the packaging that the cream cheese came in and that he apologizes. Started off by being asked for money by two people out front . We walked in and began waiting for the hostess for about 2 minutes up front . Got seated after that and our waitress came right over. We got drinks and an appetizer, cheese fries . She checked back often. We ordered and saw that the people who asked for money were confronted by what looked like a cool and a manager. I thought they were kicking them out but then to my surprise they both came back out with two to go meals and rinks for the people. This was so amazing to see as it doesn't happen much if ever . To whom it may concern. I arrived at your restaurant with some friends eager to enjoy dinner. At arrival there was a hand written note displayed on your door. This note had several items and as we waited to be seated several more items were added. This were not items like napkins or plastic cups. These were staples to the experience of what Cheddars is, or is supposed to be. This particular restaurant is too often without major menu items. Their customer service is often lacking and the care and concern displayed to their guests is often nonexistent. While I understand that items can be overlooked when inventory is counted, but all of the items listed in the attachment is not an oversight. This sign displays your lack of training, competence, professionalism, no moral, and the lack of concern for the customer experience. This is truly disappointing. How could you even feel comfortable opening the doors when 1/3 of you menu is not accessible. This is not an isolated event, this is normal practice. Just close the doors, at least until you can get it together. Many restaurants have closed their doors because of lack of customers during Covid, you (Cheddars) have been blessed to see customers and keep your doors open. This is the appropriation you show your customers. DO BETTER. BE BETTER. The next closure could be you. Went with my wife for an impromptu date night. Food is average, steaks are not their strong suit. Steak came out half-well done, half-medium, we asked for medium rare. They corrected it and came out with a new steak 10 minutes after, it was just average, nothing to really brag about. Wife's shrimp were good, but the sauce on the pasta tasted like canned tomato's. This Cheddar's location is one of the better ones that I have been to. The service for the most part isn't too bad and the wait if there is one is pretty quick. Nothing special overall, food tasted good, decent service, decent portions and prices. My main complaint has nothing to do with the food, but the service can be a hit or miss with the service depending on who serves you. Sometimes you have to hunt down a server for a refill, etc. The last time I visited the food wasn't the warmest but it took so long to come out I just ate it and dealt with it. Arrived at about 12 noon and was seated immediately. We were greeted by the most personable waitress ever...I only wish I could remember her name but she said she had been there for 4 months. Ok so I have been waiting for the right opportunity to go check out Cheddar's. I had never managed to motivate myself to go in Dallas (we had one right down the street), but after listening to all the hooplah about the one here in fayetteville and reading all the horror stories about bad service and horrible management I was more than willing to go when my daughter and son-in-law suggested it for lunch this afternoon. We arrived at around 11:30 and for a Saturday it was filling up fast and there were plenty of people already there. But we were seated as soon as we got there and the hostess was very nice and asked if we preferred a booth or a table and in fact showed us the table and asked if this would do. She had someone bring a high chair immediately for the grand baby. I LOVE the decor in there it is very nice. Our waitress (also very nice) came along and gave us menus, took our drink order and appetizer order, brought out the drinks and said the appetizers would be along shortly. She also asked if we were ready to order now, and that she would wait until she delivered the appetizers before she placed the meal order so we would have time to enjoy the appetizers. In a mater of a few minutes the Texas Cheese Fries arrived and the Chips and Cheese dip with beef and both were very fresh and tasty. She checked on us often, drinks stayed re-filled and she was very attentive without being annoying or hovering. She came and took plates away and announced that the meal would be along shortly. From seating to eating the meal was about 25 minutes, NO issues no concerns everything was PERFECT! Ok so lets discard all the BS with people whining and complaining because For the price, this meal in front of me cannot be beat in Fayetteville. Everywhere has an off day, it is really hard to keep good employees that have work as hard as servers have to and I am sure Cheddar's is not all perfect every day. Am I just lucky? Not usually. I will go a few more times and update this accordingly. but lets recap a minute... Appetizers... Excellent Drinks.......Excellent Cornmeal Catfish.... very tasty the diner said they enjoyed it very much. (photo attached) Double Decker Club.... Again Steak and ribs for $13.99?? And I plan on re-heating ( I brought home over half of it ) for dinner tonight. Where you gonna get this? It was a very nice meal(s) for $13.99 (photo attached) Bottom line I saw a parade of servers in there, they are certainly not understaffed and I watched the other diners in there and NOT ONE PERSON seemed unhappy or upset or looked like they waited for food or anything else. I will definitely go again and I do recommend you go try it at least once, but remember most new places have to get their rhythm going so cut them some slack. I must say this was my first time eating here at Cheddars after a day of running errands with my boyfriend, he then decided to do an unexpected Dinner Date and I must say it was the best meal I've had in Fayetteville. I recently moved from CA to NC and have had my share of eating out especially here in NC since that pretty much all there is to do and I must say I finished my meal which is something I hardly do. I was stuff but my meal was so good I keep eating. Also I must say there signature drink the Cheddar Painkiller is to die for it was something different but refreshing. Ate at Cheddar's just now (4 Jan 2023, 4:10). It was my son's and my birthday. We were seated quickly and the hostess was very nice. However; our server didn't show for over 12 minutes. My son spoke with the manager and he apologized and took our drink order and comped us an appetizer. He spoke with our server and she responded quickly with our drinks and appetizer. She apologized also. The dinners were very good and served hot. Since it was our birthdays, we received a free dessert. Our server kept us with drink refills and came by several times to ensure our dinners were correct. After the initial inattention, everything else went very well. We arrived after the lunch crowd had left. We were seated fairly quickly. The waitress appeared and dropped off the croissants which were very good if you don't mind eating with your fingers. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie and I had the steak and fried shrimp combo. My wife's salad came and it took 20 minutes and 2 requests to get eating utensils. After another 30 minutes, her food arrived followed by my steak. The temperature was on for medium but the steak was mostly fat and gristle. My "shrimp" was two shrimp and one chicken finger. I went here with a friend this past Friday and I'm so glad I did. We got here at around 5 and it wasn't overly busy. Our waiter was so kind and he asked us if we needed anything about every 5 minutes it seemed, which didn't bother me because I'd rather have an involved than uninvolved waiter. **** WARNING : very long review below. **** I had a very unpleasant experience here tonight and don't plan on returning. I was visiting from Charlotte and decided to meet 2 of my friends to catch up. We grabbed a seat at the bar next to a lady whom we did not know. It took the bartender at least 15 minutes to acknowledge my presence and ask what I wanted. Cool, I understand it can get busy - no big deal. As time passes, I order my drink & dip for dine in, and continue making conversation with my friends. Keep in mind I had heard the lady next to me ask for silverware & napkins at least twice and still had not been serviced. More time passes, and the lady next to me finally gets the bartenders attention again. She asks for some plastic silverware. The bartender gave her a visible attitude and said, " AND WHAT ELSE... " the lady responded just some napkins. The bartender rolls her neck and asks very rudely again, " AND WHAT ELSE... " the woman then responded that will be all. So by now, I had directed my attention to the lady as I was shocked by the bartenders response. She asked me if I noticed that exchange and I told her yes. I mentioned to her that I was bothered by the bartenders rudeness as we had done nothing but be courteous to her and simply ask for what we needed. The bartender walks away, & comes back with napkins, nothing else. It was at that moment, the lady says (in a very calm voice), " do you have attitude with me? " The bartender responded " no I don't " and the lady proceeded to tell her that we had all witnessed what transpired and if she was going to have an attitude - then she did not want to be serviced by her. That was all, nothing more - nothing less. The bartender walked away and about 10 minutes later, a male manager comes over to us. Can I just say that his approach was totally out of line. He didn't give us his name or anything. He walked up behind the bar, points to the lady and said, " excuse me, you cursed my bartender out? I was told that you cursed my bartender out and this is her place of work. All I ask is that you be respectful as this is her place of work and she is here to service you. " I chimed in and I politely told him that the lady DID NOT curse his bartender out. I walked him through the entire exchange and highlighted the fact that his bartender was the aggressor. The lady had a simple request and had not been helped. His response was totally out of line. Demanding that we respect his bartender and treat her better when in my opinion, the lady was not wrong - no one did anything to the bartender for her to be rude to us. I told him that I didn't even know the lady, I just so happened to catch the incident and didn't agree with how she was treated. In my opinion, the lady had every right to act out with the bartender, but simply kept her cool... The matter wasnt handled in a profession manner at all. The manager walked up in complete defense mode over something that was miscommunicated to him telling us to be more respectful and not curse his bartender out... No one cursed his bartender out. I can't express that enough. I feel like the situation was totally mishandled. He then turned and walked away. I looked at the lady & told her not to even eat her food. I said if I was treated so poorly, I would ask to speak with a manager, have my order voided, and leave. That is exactly what she did. Before she left, she wanted to speak with the same manager that had just addressed us. Once again, he comes over stating the same things as if we were at fault. I explained to him AGAIN that no one mistreated his bartender and that he should be addressing her with the same aggression he gave us. He agreed to cover the lady's meal, and she left visibly upset. The service and treatment was piss poor tonight. I'm highly disappointed, because I love Cheddar's food. In the hour and half that we were there, we had only been checked on once, maybe twice. At no other point did the bartender ask did we need anything else or if we were ready to close our tab. She was completely rude and stand-off ish, and the manager in charge did NOTHING to diffuse/accommodate. Even after the situation where the lady left, the bartender had someone else come close us out - she never returned. I wish I knew the names of the bartender & manager so that this review could be more direct. I would file a formal complaint as we were totally mishandled - but for now I will leave it up to Yelp. Just be cautious if eating here. The food might be good, but you might get treated unfairly and the managers will just sweep it under the rug. I'm definitely not a fan after tonight. read more

Looked at the receipt and we were being charged for two regular entrees, two kids meals and beer, told her the entire ticket was not ours and she looked at our plates and said sorry. Well, I went back because corporate was extremely nice, and to give them another chance. My husband and I went to have lunch at around 1:45pm. We were seated by a very nice young lady. We sat there patiently waiting for te waitress who arrived about 10 minutes later to take our order. Very snappy, and sorry to say, not professional at all. Her exact words were, "You ready boo?" I was a bit stunned, but proceeded to give our order. 3 other tables came in after us. They got their warm bread with saucers before us. We waited. About 5 minutes later, we got bread and no saucers. We waited for her to come back around. About 4 minutes later, she came, I asked for the plates, she said, give me a minute. Meanwhile, she picked trash up off the floor. Finally, we got the plates. Bread was no longer warm. The other 3 tables received their meals. We waited a little while longer. Now, we were getting a little upset. It had been 35 minutes since we entered the door. I asked for a manager and Lori (manager on duty) came out and politely talked with me. She went to the back, came over to our table and kindly said, I'm going to be honest with you. I was in a domestic violence situation (with an ex not my husband) so I couldn't call and ended calling the next day!
