Quality, trust worthiness, lack of empathy, poor details, changing policies and high rates all come…read moreto mind when I think of One Main Financial. Specifically, the branch in Clarksville, IN is horrible. I've started to have dealings with them twice and each time have had unreliable or unfortunate experiences. Credit Karma is out of touch with this company and the policies that were relayed to me as well. I have had two different loans with One Main in the past all working with the Goss Avenue branch that went well. These in store experiences were actually nice. HOWEVER (please excuse my use of all caps but in this case the caveat needs the emphasis). It's horrendous when a company you trust changes. Their rates can be almost predatory, but these do rely on credit worthiness of the applicant and are understandably not the same that you'd get from say a credit union or similar organization. One Main Financial as stands would not be recommended by me to anyone and I never would turn to them again. Please stay away from any useless hits on your credit report and turn to a better, more transparent company than OMF. If you have no other choice, never use the perfidious Clarksville branch. -Sincerely, Angry, Perturbed, Betrayed

There is no way to rate this crook low enough. I had the extreme misfortune of working with Chris…read morein mid-year 2023. At that time, I switched my auto and home owners insurance (for two homes) from my current insurance provider to Chris and State Farm. Within a month of switching my services to Chris, he and State Farm sent me a notification (unilateral) that they were changing the terms of my auto insurance policy, making the terms significantly less favorable to me. A week later, they notified me that if I did not replace my roof within a month, that they would drop my insurance coverage, despite a new roof never being a condition of my policy with State Farm. Not-coincidentally, they notified me of this requirement a few days after the period for having my previous insurance re-instated, so I had to get a full new policy which ended up costing me over $1,500 more per year. Beware of Chris and his shady tactics. Also, beware of their safe driver policy. They made a statement about changing the language of the safe driver discount from being a "discount" to a "premium adjustment." This change, that they try to pretend is nothing, gives them the right to increase the premium as much as they want based on their "black box" safe driver data.
