This Checkers location is a hit and a miss. I was craving their seasoned fries, so I decided to stop by. They have an automated drive thru. The computer was able to get everything I said correctly. There's no screen to see if the order was taken correctly, so you just have to trust the computer heard you. After ordering the classic mothercruncher with cheese, no tomato, fries, and a 4pc monsterella stix, I pulled up to the window. The employee told me my price and my food were made pretty quickly. Everything was nice and hot. I love their mozzarella sticks and the marinara sauce that comes with them. Checkers has some of the best seasoned fries around. The chicken sandwich was good but not my favorite. I may stick to their burgers. They are one of the few things around that close if you need a late night snack this could be for you. read more

Honestly there isn't much that can be said about checkers. It's a decent last minute, late night option when everything else is closing or closed. The customer service is something to be desired at most times but the food is consistent with what you'd expect from an establishment of this level. The seasoned fries and chicken strips are my go to when I'm not wanting an oily burger and usually never disappoints. Giving this a 3 star because well.... I was a big fan of the chain 20-30 years ago, and as I grew up I watched all of the local Checkers close down, so I was excited to see this location open. The dude who took my order charged me for meals but then added 3$ for each drink I wanted. It also took him 15 minutes just to take my order. Then when I got to the window they charged me 30$ and the "manager" gave me 5$ back in cash when i was suppose to get 6$ I don't really care about the 1$ but they shouldn't put someone on the floor who doesn't know what he's doing that's why people get trained. In Chicago for the first time, we ordered from here and for starters they got my order wrong, they didn't give me the right burger. I asked for ketchup and they said ir was in the bag which wasn't and paid $25 for 2 combos which btw the burgers are smaller than kid meal burgers. Never again. read more

I really do love this place but I've been here on multiple occasions on the weekends where they close really early. Normally it wouldn't be a problem except online it says one time, on the door it says another time, and the employees just told me tonight, on a Saturday they close at 1:30.... Went through the drivethrough, and hubby ordered a double cheeseburger and a burger with no cheese for me. I placed an order that should have cost $7.19 plus tax. I was charged $9.95 and the receipt order was wrong. I was the only one at the drive-up. I had to honk to get someones attention. When I explained the issue, all I got was "Oh, you ordered that?". I demanded my money back. It took 5 people to do this with the explaination "We are having computer issues". I just don't understand why they can't get an order right. First time I came here I ordered buffalo wings and paid extra for blue cheese dressing and when I received my order there wasn't any blue cheese dressing. During the shutdown order for COV-19, I ordered my meal through the drive through. This is on me, but I did not check my order prior to leaving. I wanted no cheese on my burger. I drive 10 min back to hotel I was staying, got in room, and got ready to eat when I realized the cheese on my burger. I drive 10 min back to the store to get my order corrected. I also took back the shake I ordered because, for obvious reasons, it was going to melt, and I wanted to drink it with my burger. I went back through the drive through, and explained the situation to the same server of my original order. When I pulled up to the speaker. I explained the situation to the clerk. No problem. However, when I said I wanted a new shake, she said, "there was nothing wrong with the shake is there?", I told her I thought it was fair, as I wanted to drink shake with my burger. I drove up to windows, gave her both items, which at this time, she literally looked at the shake to see how much I had drank lol. She also asked for the receipt, to prove my order. Point of this is, I, the customer, was second guessed about what I had ordered. Clerk was hesitant to give me a new shake with their incorrect order.
