Food is DELICIOUS! Everything was made correctly to what was entered into the system. The only thing messed up when entered was the size of the drink so not a big deal. They said they're went making any ice cream, milkshakes, or slushies for the rest of the night even though it was 4-5 hours before closing, so I don't know if that's standard or not for this location The lady at the window was rude and unhelpful, I asked her a question (and she definitely heard me) and she shut the window turned around and didn't come back. I asked for 1/2 ranch and 1/2 bbq with an 8 piece tender that was being shared and she act like I asked her to sacrifice something that belonged to her personally. $38.00 3 combo meals, one loaded fries and two chili dogs, 1 drink and minus 2 drinks from its combo. The burgers looked like the preppers did not care to prepare the food at all, leaning off the bun was the meat with old ingredients inside. The chili dogs I wouldn't even allow my puppies to eat them. The French fries were not fresh but sitting there under the heat lamp dry and stale, even the person who worked the window wearing glasses on and a baseball hat didn't care about his job. After a trip to a nearby hospital and not eating for almost a day I needed to pick up two meals and get back asap. Decided to try checkers for the first time and wow! I was blown away, the burger was amazing, my husband also loved his bacon burger. The bacon was real bacon not the fake stuff with little flavor you usually get. I'm not a fan of the fries but I don't like seasoned fries. My husband who likes seasoned fries said they were awesome. We will definitely be going back. I wish I knew there was a place to get real burgers in Spring Lake sooner. My son got the banana split shake and let me taste it. It was also great. I highly recommend this restaurant if not for the customer service alone. The food is always hot and fresh when we visit and the staff is friendly. We recently noticed an item was missing after driving off. Upon noticing the missing item I called the store and the manager put our name down in the book for a replacement the next time we stopped in. That happened over a week ago and the manager held true to her word. Not only did they replace the entire meal corresponding with the missing item but they went above and beyond making up for the simple mistake. Awesome customer service is so rare in today's society. Just for that fact I will continue to visit this location when we are in the area and recommend this Checker's to anyone in the Spring Lake area. read more
