Check City is the worst place to get a loan from. These people acted like they were going to close their doors over $155.20. I had other bills come out when they sent text messages saying they were taking out the payment on Friday and they waited for 6 days later and money went to other bills. I do not recommend this establishment to be used they are ridicu6 read more

The ladies that work here are absolutely amazing they are very nice and patient and I appreciate each and every last one of them best customer service hands-down read more

Wish I could put 0 stars. The lady with the cricket lip fillers turned me away and accused me of already cashing a check that was never even cashed but yet she stated, if I had an account with them, she would be able to cash it??? someone please make it make sense. Customer service is trash. It's not fair people do not like their jobs maybe she should work somewhere where she feels more pleasant and less angry. read more

Vanessa had great service! This check city always helps me out! I like going to this location great customer sevice

I really can't believe I haven't checked in or reviewed this place yet... I've been coming to this Check City location for over 2 years now. I have a Netspend card, which is a prepaid debit/credit card. I come here all the time to load the card so I can pay my bills, order my bf beard oil, buy concert tickets, etc. I also just found out that money orders are FREE here. How amazing is that?! The staff is always very friendly, and the place is clean. I love that they are open 24/7. My only complaints are: 1. Miscommunication and information. I was given two different stories on getting a "refund" on a money order I'd purchased earlier in the day...it ended up not being a big deal, but having consistent information is vital to good customer service. 2. Their parking lot SUCKS. I tried to stop in yesterday, and had absolutely NO WHERE to park. I know its not really their fault, and I'm sure that some of the spots were taken by people visiting the bar that's in the same shopping center, but...ugh. I really do like this location though, and come here often. read more

So I frequent this location once a month for my free money order to pay my rent. Why go anywhere else and pay for a money order when I can come here and get a free one. Mind you, if you need an envelope they will charge you a small fee of $0.10. I find that quite funny. I never have to wait in line long. If all their employees are busy helping others, someone is always walking up to one of the windows to assist their customers. They are fast and speedy. read more

My go to place when it comes to getting a money order it's free and no charge at all. The customer service here is pretty good the people here are nice friendly and helpful with any questions you have. Plus they don't charge that much interest in getting alone and without the hassle. read more

The website doesn't work. It kept asking me for verification code, yet it will not verify it. So it kept sending me multiple verification code, and even called me multiple times with the code, yet the website could not verify anything. it is a serious and annoying system glitch. read more

I'm VERY dissatisfied with the customer service I just received today. I come in to take out a loan and when the rep asked me to verbalize my bank account information I asked her why because this has never been asked before. I've been using check city for YEARS! Her response "BECAUSE I NEED TO VERIFY YOUR INFORMATION " and I AM NEW. She also swings her computer around to show me what she's doing: That was VERY VERY disrespectful and with her being new does not give her permission to be loud and rude especially when I wasn't being rude or nasty to her: it was a simple question. I'll never go back to this location again:. read more

Kayla and Donna were extremely kind and welcoming while I was there. I had to cash a few checks since I kept forgetting and they were super helpful and kind. It was a pleasant and quick process. Thank you :)) read more

I have done business with Check City for the past ten years. Always in good standing with them. Lucky for me, I haven't needed them for the past four years, until today when I stopped in for a payday advance in the amount of $50 until tomorrow, payday. After sitting there waiting for nearly an hour, I was informed, that Check City was no longer interested in doing business with me. I obviously asked why, and was told "we don't know". The staff was friendly and somewhat helpful but they have no reason to deny me a small loan when I have a perfect record with them for many years. Please save your time and money, and if you absolutely must get a payday advance where you will pay 500% interest, go someplace other than Check City. read more

This place has the absolute worst customer service. Everytime i go there it is an issue. Sometimes they decide my check is not a payroll check, even though it is a payroll check and instead of charging me 2% or whatever they charge me 5%...other times they just charge me the 2%. Why is there 2 different prices for company checks. If you work or perform a service for a company, 1099 or as an employee and that company pays you, that is a payroll check. It shouldn't depend on the mood of the cashier, just because they are mad that day and want to prove a point. Secondly, shift change should be easy, you have 3 employees a manager and 2 cashiers....instead of making your CUSTOMERS wait for 15 minutes and watching 2 cashiers counting huge piles of cash (which is dangerous in and of itself, someone call their insurance company) right in plain view. How about have 2 drawers, the oncoming cashier counts their drawer in the back with the manager (which isn't usually doing anything anyways) while the other cashier assists the customers....then when the shift change the out giong cashier takes their drawer and they and the manager count down that drawer, out of sight of everyone. No customers have to wait, and watch, the drawers get counted down by 2 people, and i'm not on yelp complaining because i waited almost 20 minutes before an employee acknowledged or tried to help. read more

The customer service is awesome and they are very friendly and they really explain everything to you and they make you feel comfortable and they don't make you feel bad that you are borrowing money for things that you have going on in life so I really appreciate them in the company they have been good to me and they have been there for me when I come into a jam or I just need some fast cash and they have 24-hour location I love that read more

This is my most dreaded and favorite place.. dreaded cause taking out loans suck.. but the staff here are always so helpful and kind its amazing. Especially Amira Co! She took the time to answer all my questions regarding my loan, helping me once again during these hard times. Thank You once again! You were awesome! read more

24hours, short term loans, check cashing and yes people still cash checks. If you need a small amount the prices are not crazy like the APR would suggest. If you took $50.00 for 7 days its roughly $4.50. Bring a friend and you'd get a 20.00 referral credit it they get approved for a loan too. read more

Check City will not work with you if your unable to pay on the due date, not for one day, there's other lenders who will, but not this one, maybe its because they operate in too many different states and are unable to apply the laws for each one. Just beware, they will triple there fees if you bonce a payment. read more

Haha if you want to laugh you have to have Felecia help you this lady is crazy in a good way. I go here to load my prepaid card and just love some of the people here. read more

This review is to clear up a bad review that I had posted about Check City on Nellis in Las Vegas. I had sent my brother Western Union on his Birthday and provided a test question and answer because his identification had expired. He called me and told me that Check City was not able to give him the cash without his i.d. and so I called Western Union and asked if they could add a test question and answer to pick up the money. They said "yes" and that it was up to the merchant to decide whether or not an identification would be required. My brother was told that the computer wasn't processing the Western Union transaction without the identification, but I assumed it was Check City who refused to allow him to pick it up without i.d. so I was mad at the employee's in Check City, but I was wrong! They did everything possible to help him and get him his money. Today, I found out that Western Union had put a hold on picking up the money! My sincere apologies to Check City for my bad review and to the employee's who work there who assisted my brother. Thanks Jackie the Manager for following up with me. I will defintely use their services in the future! Sincerely, Elaina Peterson read more

Great service! Friendly fast and experienced people, always in and out quickly especially for money orders ~ Thanks!
