We went into the humidor and the clerk hovered over us and advised we couldn't touch or smell the cigars. They are all sealed in plastic! I'm certainly not going to buy a cigar that is rock hard, you have to feel them. And we certainly aren't going to try and steal them and shove them down our shirts while he's standing right there! Good Grief! We actually did pick some cigars that we had purchased in the past and liked. They cost over $500. I paid with my credit card. The clerk bagged up the cigars, handed them over to me without looking in my direction. As we walked out the door he said "Thank You Sir". ...Okay, that's just down right rude! I turned and replied, "Perhaps you should thank the person who paid!". We won't be back. There are plenty of other cigar shops in Calgary where you can get friendly service and not be treated as if you are going to steal something.

Smokers Corner is officially the second store in Calgary and is less than 3 months old. This smoke shop specializes in a fine selection of glass pipes, papers and grinders. It is like walking into a china shop dedicated to the Pacheco. K CHIDO! The pipes here range from 10 to 250 dollars and what amazing models to choose from, an assortment of colours, styles, shapes and sizes and most of them glass blown. I was also shown some pop can stashers, a Calgary based company invented pop cans that unscrew so you can hide your particulars, the beautiful thing about these are they are properly weighted to feel like a full can of pop. Hey give me half a dozen! The store is so appealing, and shiny and sparkly, if you don't smoke now you will after entering this shop. And for your misbehaviour today young man you must go and stand in Smokers Corner.

Hemporium has a very wide selection of incense, which aren't actually priced that bad... unlike other things in the place. I realize that most stuff is supposed to be hand-crafted, but come on! It surprises me that people would manufacture environmentally friendly clothing, purses, pipes, herbs, etc. yet price all their stuff ridiculously! The only really good thing about this place is the kitty they have roaming around. It's so cute and friendly and I love it!
