Never Trust Cheap Auto Trans........ I had a frustrating experience with this company and unfortunately cannot recommend their services. I was quoted and agreed to a total price of $900 to ship my car from Phoenix, AZ to Loganville, GA -- with $150 due at pickup and $750 at delivery. However, one hour before delivery, the driver called demanding $800, claiming that was the agreement with the broker. When I contacted the broker, he admitted they changed the amount without notifying me and asked me to sign a new contract for $950, assuring me that the extra $50 would be refunded via Zelle. Trusting his word, I signed the revised contract under pressure and paid the driver $800. After delivery, I asked for the promised $50 refund, but the broker ignored my request and instead asked me to write a fake positive review in exchange for the refund. When I declined and asked again for my money back, he stopped responding altogether. This experience felt dishonest and manipulative. They changed terms last minute, broke a promise, and tried to leverage a refund for a fake review. About 24 hours after my car was picked up, they sent me an email saying I had 10 minutes to sign a change order paying them an additional $300 or my car would be put in storage at $95 per day for about 15 days, and I received a phone call demanding that I send an additional $100 via Zelle to pay to get my car out of storage. When my car was finally delivered, the driver confirmed that my car had never been in storage. ***STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY***This all started on Jul 30th, after going online to see about rates to move my military sons car from N**** **** Alaska to P********* PA - I was emailed and text some rates. This company Cheap Auto Trans Inc, Alpharetta GA 30022. Had a very good rate, and I had my son reach out to them to see what we had to do to get the car moving. We were sent and email and told to put down a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit to secure the truck for pu Fri 9/5. We did so via wire and were told it was confirmed and received. Fast forward to Wed 9/3, and Thurs 9/4 - I'm trying to reach them via phone, text, email about the pu for Fri 9/5. They finally answered that we know needed to send another $400 more for driver to secure the ins paperwork needed to move the vehicles. I asked why we weren't told this previously instead of the day before and they said it needed to be done closer to pu. So again we send this and now have $900 into this. So Mon Sept 8th, and still no pu, so follow back up again with numerous calls, texts, emails - now driver is broke down and wont be fixed till Sun 9/14 - no shops work on Sundays. So now it mon 9/15, I cant reach the company via phone, text or emails. They effectively blocked my number from getting trhough as I can get through from my work phone only to be transferred and disconnected, and then that number is blocked. I finally reached someone there using another co-workers phone and finally got some "answers". After speaking with malvin mandosa/johnson - sorry he kept saying different last names - he said that a christian or Christopher in their office had messed everything up and that they has my money and booking BUT ONLY if I paid the driver another $500 to reserve my spot, if not my money was forfeited since they's have no record of my order. In the meantime I finally reached the driver and he said he was never dispatched. But that yes I needed the $500. I fought back and forth with them that if they still had my $900 they should pay him from that. They said they would pay him $200 but that I needed to zelle $300 - which we tried to do but apparently stopped working after they sent him their $200 - which I have a screen shot of also. I spent over 8 hrs trying to figure this out and recorded the conversations after Malvin asked if I lived alone and what age I was. They clear answer is they now took $1200 and have disappeared. They left me with no choice saying if I didn't pay $300 more then my order and intial $900 would disappear. The end of conversation on Mon 9/15 ended with them sending the driver the $900, plus the $300 I sent then on Tues 9/16, I would owe $200 at delv. Yes I know at this point ive been very stupid. Henry from cheap auto answered yesterday till about 3pm, then number was disconnected from my cell number. Driver answered to confirm receipt of the $300 and that pu would still happen - he said hed be there at pickup in Alaska to meet my son at 3pm. He text 20 mins, out, 10 mins out, 5 mins out...and then disappeared stopped answering and again when I called from my cells my calls couldn't go through. I utilized Cheap Auto Transport for shipping my vehicle from NY to CO. Total "All Inclusive" pricing (which included up to 150 lbs of personal items inside vehicle) was $1,500. Prime Track Inc. was hired as Shipping/Driver. At pick-up, they extorted another $300. Cash, and would not load vehicle unless paid, stating truck was "overweight". The only personal contents inside my vehicle were clothes, so I requested a photo of the truck on a scale proving it was overweight. The company never provided this. My vehicle then sat in Prime Tracks truck yard for 6 days prior to being transported. At delivery, the driver demanded another $200. Cash payment on top of the balance owed, $1,000.00. When I argued, he put my vehicle back on the truck and threatened to drive away. This company extorted an extra $500.00 from me in order to deliver my vehicle. Don't believe any of the positive reviews, these people are scammers. I first interacted with Charles Brandon, who gave me a "guaranteed" good price at first, and said I needed to provide card details which were just going to be kept on file and not charged until a driver was found. But as soon as I added the details they took a $100 deposit immediately without any explanation. They told me to wait a week, but then as the pickup date approached he told me no drivers are available unless I pay more and gave me quotes double and triple the original rate. I declined this and they made out like I was being unreasonable for not accepting the 3x higher quote. They told me to wait another week to be fully clear of the holiday break, and they'd have something at the original price they quoted... on a fixed date... again "guaranteed". So I wait another week and it's the day before pickup and they don't have a driver. Drivers are all handled through a single national system so I decide to call a friend who's a dealer to see what's going on, and I find out they've listed my car at twice the agreed rate. So even if they had found a driver it would have been at least double the rate they quoted. They then lied about it and I lost all trust in them and decided to go elsewhere. I wish I could say that was the end of the story... I then found a much better and honest company, so I needed Cheapautotrans to remove my car from the national system so it wasn't double listed, and they flat out refused and harassed me all day. One of the "managers" then started messaging me offering crazy deals meanwhile my friend can see the car is now listed even higher at nearly 3x the original quote. I think they just wanted me to accept because you pay the driver directly when the car is delivered and they knew they wouldn't have to deal with the fallout. Unbelievable. Amazingly after threatening to file a fraud claim against them, they did actually refund my deposit, so there's that. But weeks of time wasted and just constant lies, when I could have been working with someone reputable. They gave me some excuse abt the finance department being closed. This is the second time I have dealt with this company and the exact occurrence happened both times. The first time they refunded me the difference and apologized and said it would not happen again so I trusted them and they did the exact same fraudulent business practice as the first time. I contacted them to ship a car from California to Ohio two weeks prior to the pick up date. They quoted a price of $930. Leading up to the pick up date, I would get texts from their employee Wayne Martin saying he was processing the order and to have a blessed day. The day prior to them picking up I had not heard from them and contacted them. They told me the price is now $1300. So once again they did a bait and switch and lock you in with a lower price and when you are stuck at the last second and they say the price has gone up from what you were promised. Due to my time constraints I had no choice but to unfortunately use their services. This company business practices are based on fraudulent quotes in order to lock you in then they know you are between a rock and a hard place and raise the price. They are very unethical and shady and I have filed a fraudulent business practice complaint with the FTC as well as the Better Business Bureau. I can't give them a star. I signed a contract (Order # 10506717) 12/8/2022 for $420.00 to Ship my 07 Cadillac SRX from Mesquite Tx to Oakland Ca, $120.00 and $300.00 on delivery. My car was to picked up 12/19 got a call on 12/14 asking for more money ($300.00) after being upset, i agreed to $700.00 total, and not only that they want to pick me car up Sunday the 17th i said it was fine as long as it got there by Wednesday. I get another call Friday 12/16 saying they will come Monday 12/19 (After i had loaded the car for sunday). Monday comes it's getting late no carrier, so i called and was informed it will be Tuesday (The same day my flight leaves for Oakland) The guy got there in time.
