'Yay! I'm a fan.'…read more With all this fresh fruit and fresh vegetables available I don't understand how some people would rather choose junk food. You're crazy! Adelaide Fresh Fruiterers are well known for having exceptionally great produce, and I would have to say that I agree with them. I love this store. It's a pretty large store, and everything is always displayed so well. Before you even walk into the store you get to see all the different fruits displayed outside. Everything is so colourful, it's almost hard to resist grabbing the reddest apple you can find and just sinking your teeth into it. Great customer service, affordable prices and fresh produce.

I just couldn't wait to sink my teeth into an apple, straight from the Adelaide Hills, which had me reaching for a Kleenex, juice was literally running down my chin it was that fresh! And the range of apples. What a delight to be re-acquainted with good old fashioned species, along with new ones I'd not heard of before. And before I get totally carried away on just Apples (I'm an Apple 'nerd') I should mention that Adelaide Fresh carry a huge range of seasonal fruits and veggies. The majority of their range is locally grown and produced. But if you reach, as I did without looking properly, for something which is imported, one of the friendly staff will tell you 'it's from China' - oh so good to be alerted to that fact and re-directed to organic Australian grown produce (just for the record garlic was the product in question). As if seriously fresh fruit and veggies wasn't enough, they also carry a good range of natural, organic raw honey. It's not the most extensive range I've seen but certainly large enough to keep the Pooh Bears of us happy, and also my dog who's on natural honey for her allergies. Yep, honey is fantastic for your pooches too. Added to the temptation in this one stop shop, well almost unless you're a carnivore, is a large variety of nuts and other tasty delights. Along with fresh herbs, complete in many cases with their roots still attached. Forget the poor forlorn, sad little bunches smothered in plastic sans their roots, these are the real Mccoy - you just have to smell them. My partner claims the Prospect Store is better but as I haven't as yet sampled their delights, I can only speak about the Fulham Gardens shop. Being in a small shopping center, there' plenty of parking available so it's easy to load the car up after a delightful time wandering around Adelaide Fresh. Last but definitely not least, the shop itself is a delight. No loud muzac or announcements assaulting your ear drums whilst you're browsing. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. They'll answer even the dumbest of questions with a smile and don't mind you snatching at an apple seconds after it's been scan! So do your taste buds and your health a favor and try Adelaide Fresh it really does live up to it's name.

This Target store have a pretty decent selection of bras and underwear at very affordable prices, and all you ladies know how expensive it is when it comes to buying these things! That's not to say that there isn't plenty of underwear in the mens department either for you gentlemen. Target is not my go-to store when it comes to clothes. Always happy to find a bargain, and if you're just looking for a plain t-shirt, tank-top or a pair of leggings then Target is definitely the place to go. I find the clothes to be more directed at older women, therefore if you are an older women then I'm sure you will love it. The DVD selection is pretty sweet. As I've previously mentioned; I'm a movie geek. I'm constantly checking bargains at every store before I buckle down and purchase a movie. Target have some great continuos bargains when it comes to DVDs. You can always find them priced at $8.99, $12.99 and sometimes even $6.99! They also keep a great selection of black and white/classic films. Overall Target is a great store to shop at. Wether you're looking for clothes, books, movies, stationary, games or even chocolate! They pretty much have it all (and it's usually a bargain!).

The new Australian Red Cross Superstore recently opened up next door to my favourite St Vinnies…read moreop-shop, opposite the Findon Library and Shopping Centre. Needless to say, I got pretty excited. Sadly, while it is undoubtedly enormous, the excess of products doesn't improve the overall quality. The store conforms to the slightly higher prices of Red Cross shops, and there wasn't anything good enough to warrant paying more than I would next door. They have lot of new clothing, some of which is quite awful - dresses that have the sides cut out of them to be only a bikini top, strip over the belly and a skirt (reminiscent of that horrible fashion of bathers). The second-hand clothing is much more normal, and there is a LOT of it, in women's, men's and children, and for once the latter two sections are fully stocked. What I really like about this shop is that it colour codes its sections, thus, being a person who only likes certain colours, I can go straight to the green section and avoid all others. The men's section made me chuckle, because I can see guys being quite happy to beeline to their favourite chunk of colour; for making shopping easier, we thank you Red Cross. I also enjoy how the whole store is set out neatly and tidily. It has a calming feel about it, appealing to the small voice of OCD inside many of us. The book corner, while neat and attractive, sadly doesn't have much substance. Half the entire stock is "Adult Fiction" while the rest is just not-so-great fiction. I didn't spot any authors I'm keen on, except a battered Stephen King and a Simone de Beauvoir in the original French. However, I won't judge too harshly too soon. Op-shops often need time to develop and get in some good stock, so I'll be back in a month or two to check out its development.

The previous reviewer does not seem to understand that op shopping is a commitment to patience and gratitude for the gems that are frequently found, but not by those expecting to find them served up on a silver platter, with a minimum of effort. With four other big op shops a step away, this Red Cross is an op shopper's delight!

This is a newly built facility that has two levels of underground parking-free for the first couple of hours. A spacious, clean elevator takes you up to the ground level store entry. A separate elevator will take you up one more floor to really nice modern, clean bathrooms. But, alas, no Dyson hand dryers :-( Note that there is a very nice independent butcher shop just before you enter the Foodland-I'm a big fan of it and their WILL be a review soon. The Foodland store is so clean, bright and well-stocked it almost hurts the eyes, but you adjust and move on with your shopping. We usually go on Sundays, after taking The Casper (our dog) to the beach. Another reason we are a fan of the (cool) underground parking. On Sundays around noon, they are always busy, but not so busy that it's hard to make your way up and down the isles or that you feel like you are in the way when it takes you a couple of minute of browsing to find just the right kind of tuna in a can from the 700 different varieties on offer. The selection is excellent and you shouldn't have any trouble finding your favourite items. That's not always true at our neighbourhood grocery store. Once, when we were after a large quantity of a special item on sale we asked if we could get a couple of cartons from the back. "Sure," was the cheerful reply and quick-as-a-wink they brought it out for us. At most stores you can't even find someone to help you, much less this kind of customer service. Kudos to Foodland employees. With all this goodness, there is a downside to shopping here. Once inside the new, well-built store you get NO mobile phone signal. Nothing, nada, zippo. So no checking email, messages, calling home to ask about something on your shopping list, checking prices online, looking up a recipe's ingredients online, or using your phone like a walkie-talkie and doing team shopping. This is an egregious oversight that could be remedied, for the most part, by putting in a free wireless hotspot. But, except for shutting off contact with the outside world, this is a great grocery shopping experience. Eat, drink and be merry-but not too much. JD

When it first opened I spent two hours going up and down every aisle and I'm pleased to say that the standard is still as high now. The newness hasn't worn off. Staff friendly and helpful. They always seem to have enough checkouts open. There are so many alternative or unusual products available that it makes shopping a dream. Eg gluten free, local producers, quinoa, buckwheat pasta, many choices of tofu, blocks of nougat, 3 or 4 sorts of rocket. Great deli counter. Look out for the pink stickers. Often great bargains to be had. Plus, being so close to the beach, it makes a domestic task feel like being on holiday!

The shop is small but packed wall to wall with designer names like Anu, Lola, Suboo, Tahlula, Tigerlilly and more but also many Australian labels too. For those into designer brands this shop has got it all and you will most likely find what you want. They also have a online shop and a Facebook page in case you can't pay a visit in person to Grange. The clothes represent some iconic women's brands from Australia which was nice to see in my Insta-feed from LA. I watched all the posts for over a year before finally arriving back in Australia and awaiting my chance to go. I have to admit the shop was so unassuming for something I'd been looking forward to visiting for so long, I couldn't find it at first. The clothes in store just don't have the same appeal as they do on the girls on Instagram - poor merchandising. You really have to look hard to find something you like but you most likely find more than one thing. They don't have many sizes and cater to a fairly young aesthetic - but given the prices, a cashed up audience as well. I've bought a few pieces and have loved them at first but been disappointed with how they wear. Worth a look!
