History
Established in 1969.
The year was 1969, and 3 Nashville-based investors purchased Cookeville's American Heating & Cooling from Cantrell Brown. Over the course of four years, American Heating & Cooling continued to establish its reputation as a quality provider in the Upper Cumberland area, even with just three trucks and less than $100,000 in annual sales.1973-The first step in shaping the company's future came when Garry Floeter was named general manager. He acquired 25% of the outstanding stock and was elected president of the corporation. A year later, the name was changed to Cookeville Heating & Cooling.1973 - 1990-In the next decade, CHC grew by leaps and bounds. Eventually, the services division was spun off into a separate company, Cookeville Mechanical Services. Shortly after that, Floeter executed his stock options with the remaining CHC stockholder and retired any outstanding shares, assuming full ownership of the company. See more history on our website.

Garry Floeter

To say that heating and cooling has been in Garry Floeter's blood almost his entire life could be considered an understatement. As a young boy, Garry learned the trade while working for his father's refrigeration services company. Today, he's the president of one of the largest and most successful mechanical contracting and HVAC services companies in Middle Tennessee.
Garry grew up in the Nashville area. Garry began his work career at age 12 carrying his father's tools. He graduated from what was once Hume-Fogge Vocational Technical High School and serving as class valedictorian as well as serving as State President of the Vocational and Industrial Clubs of America.
