This is the best club I've been to so far. It is pretty expensive but it's so worth it.

If you are not white or are not welcome there

Loud music and lots of people(very crowded).. and lots of friendly people. Then a guy was behind us and wanting to order drinks and tells me he was from South Africa...so I said, of wow! We were thinking of going to South Africa this year. He then said "if a dark skinned person was visiting South Africa people would think you are a slave."'I asked him if he thinks I am dark skinned and he said yes. I yelled at him and I said I am not a slave. Sass Bartender named Patrick (with a pony tail) came to me and told me to keep it down because they won't tolerate us being loud. I raised my voice to tell the the guy I am not a slave. Patrick took his side not mine.

The bartender was really friendly and was a good source of information for the city. The 2nd time I stopped by was on a Monday night. For a Monday night it had a pretty good crowd there. Of course they were mostly very young. After a few beers I took off as I felt a bit old for the crowd there. I can see this place being very popular for someone in the right age group.

After what happened on Friday, I am disgusted by the behaviour of some of the staff. A woman stumbled and dropped her drinks while I was literally around four metres behind the spot. Zero chance of any physical contact from me. One of the external Staff who works for the sister venue "Let's be frank" was somehow quick to claim that they were "sure" I had done it. In reality what just happened is that, the woman had told them that I caused the drinks to drop. Without having been there physically, this Let's be frank employee came on to me, aggressively told me that "everyone has seen that you caused the drinks to drop". I multiply denied that and yet she tried gaslighted me for "contradictory statement", while I was standing my ground and repeatedly sayingI had not been involved in the drink incident, the accusation suddenly escalated into "don't touch me". This female staff , who as said works at the sister restaurant Let's Be Frank, then brought me outside to the bouncer. A completely minor incident of a fallen drink had suddenly been augmented with an allegation of inappropriate physical contact. Other staff eventually came outside, the situation was de-escalated, confirmed it was not me, and most importantly, the very staff who accused me of inappropriate touch apologised to me. Yet later her friend, who also apparently works at Let's Be Frank, approached me. She insulted my attire and called me names. I told her not to continue behaving this way and that she would be held accountable for her conduct. She then went around talking about me to others and repeating the allegation. At that point I lost my cool and raised my voice because I was genuinely and deeply offended. A third Travel Shack employee, then blindly joined the situation and repeated the same accusations. So let me get this chronology straight: the woman I supposedly touched apologised to me, her friend later propagated the accusation, and another employee then repeated it as though repetition somehow turns an allegation into a fact. At that point, I had understood enough. My impression is that some of these employees treat customers as disposable people who can simply be labelled and accused however they please. Perhaps they think they work at a crappy place and therefore assume the customers must be crappy people too. I genuinely wonder what this behaviour says about how they see themselves. I was so disturbed by the accusation that I walked to a police station at 3 a.m. The officer ultimately advised me not to "break my head over it" and explained that the legal route in such a situation is complicated. That does not make the conduct acceptable. It only shows how easily people can make serious accusations while leaving the person on the receiving end to deal with the consequences. And unfortunately, this was not my first disturbing experience with staff there. On a previous occasion, another employee joined a guest who I later figured out to be a former employee, against me in a similarly hostile situation. When he apparently realised that the situation had gone too far, he came to me and effectively threatened me with a ban if I "snitched to the owner". It is absurd how far some people are willing to cross another person's boundaries while apparently believing that they themselves will never be held accountable. I have directly contacted the owner and management. But contacting management privately is not a free ticket for the staff involved to cover themselves and make the experience disappear and I believe it says something deeply troubling about the staff culture. For anyone who is not willing to put their reputation on the line unnecessarily, I strongly suggest to steer clear. You won't know when and how things hit you. The owner seriously needs to reassess who is working for this business and what image these employees project to customers. Disgusting
