But no, my dude showed up in a Cadillac and jumped my battery in my Prius. He had a super modern jumper, (it's not car to car with cables anymore y'all) and it took no time. We have never been to St. Louis, MO but were stranded 20 minutes from our hotel at 5pm in the pouring rain right off a busy exit on a Sunday night! We called AAA and waited for 2 hours for a text alert indicating they were on their way. It never came and after calling them back they said a driver would be dispatched at 8pm. My car was to be towed by Chauncey through Car Shield. Well when Tony showed up, he acted as if my car couldn't be towed without a cash payment after Car shield had already paid them to have my car towed. Tony also took a screw driver to my gear box cover and removed the cover, and then took a screwdriver down into my gear box saying he was trying to put my car into gear. Car shield had already told Tony and Chauncey that the car could not move because of the gears not working. Tony told me he would not tow my car unless I paid him 25 cash. After I paid him the cash. He put my car up on the tow truck bed in minutes. Why wouldn't Tony just do that in the beginning. I was scammed and lied to by Tony and will never again use their service. Car shield tried to contact Chauncey about why Tony took my cash and they hung up on her. Very unprofessional. I feel scammed. read more

This company was assigned to tow my car. I was not told I would need to leave a key or stay with the car and I was pulled over on the side of the road at midnight so I figured I'd go home. I tried to call that night to double check my car had been towed but no one could give me answers, I figured it would be fine. However, in the morning I found out my car was never delivered to the auto body shop but the police had impounded it. If Chauncey had just left me a voicemail saying they needed a key all this could have been avoided. read more

I used Yelp on Feb 4th to reach out to Chauncy to help with a tow. rsponse time was suppose to be within 10 minutes. I knew that it would be later due to the snow/ice we had over the weekend, but no response until now! Feb 9th! All Chauncy said was "Sorry, I can't help with this." .... it was a simple tow, he didny explain Why he couldn't help, and of course it was too late to help anyway. (I found a better more responsive tow company More than willing to communicate) .... Guessing this is a "One Man Operation" and can't handle an overload of call during emergency situations. If so, he should state that. Won't be calling him again. read more

Tony took my call on New Year's Day when it was cold and sleeting and generally miserable. He quoted me a fair price and was able to get to me faster than the other services. He called me when he was five minutes away and was there when he said he'd be. He loaded my car gently and quickly and took it to my dealership for me. He even sent me a text letting me know when he'd arrived and dropped off. Tony took a stressful situation and made it a lot better than I expected. Very grateful, will use again if I ever am in need. A truly disappointing, disrespectful, and blatantly racist experience. The person who came to provide towing "service" was so rude. First of all, I showed nothing by respect, from the time I reached out to them to the time I greeted him. He gets out of the truck, looks at the tired, and kept saying "You need to get this sh** fix cause it ain't no good." Over and over, he kept saying that sentence and I am baffled because his job was to simply remove my car from the snow. Second, my car is a 2020 Ford Fusion with low miles. I didn't know where he was getting at, but something was telling me he was about to run a scam or something. Then, he proceed to say, "That sh** you got ain't no good." The tone was nasty and his demeanor was agitated. I asked to simply pay for the service by credit card, since that was told to me on the phone. He goes, "Oh yeah, my credit card (whatever, couldn't make out what he said because of his thick accent) broke down so you need to pay by cash. He kept changing the price, higher and higher. He said you need to go to an ATM and get the money. I completely lost it because I knew he was running a scam and he had such an unprofessional demeanor because he was interacting with a black woman. He left abruptly once I returned the same tone and behavior he exhibited to me out on him. I don't understand these people at the company, but it was horrible and disgusting and I hope no other black woman has to deal with this kind of behavior. read more
