I've always wanted to skydive. So what is the problem? Well, the friends who claim they would skydive with me either backs out or say they're broke and cannot afford it. Therefore, when I saw a Groupon deal for skydiving, I immediately bought it. I went without any of them. Yes, seriously. YOLO. I am from Atlanta and drove two hours to Chattanooga Skydiving Company. That's how I roll. I didn't tell my family I was doing this until the prior night. Both my kids wanted to tag along so I let them. They both want to skydive when they turn 18. Stupid me, I did not realize that TN was on a different time zone than GA. I got there at 9 am EST which is 8 am CST. My kids and I made the best of it and just drove to the nearest Walmart and local stores to kill time. In the process, we bought some fireworks too. Why not? It's not sold in GA. I was so ready to skydive. I have to admit that I was a little surprised how small the place was. Since I already RSVP, I initialed and signed a book of paperwork, signing my life away since my daughter laughed at the "in case of death" statements. I thought I was going to be in a class to learn about skydiving. Nope. Just had to wait for name to be called. When my name was finally called, John just put my gear and and explained what to do when I jump. I was like, I hope I can remember lol. The airplane was small, a lot smaller than I have expected because I had friends who have skydived before and a group of 6 and their instructors could fit in the airplane. For my jump, the airplane could only fit two plus instructors. I was a bit nervous when I got in the plane and sat down, thinking I will fall over and the door wasn't sturdy enough. John was awesome and made sure everything was okay. I relaxed a bit later and was ready to jump. We jumped backwards and did several flips. That jump was awesome, I loved it. Of course, I wanted to buy photos. Oh my freaking goodness, I look awful. I laughed at myself how terrible I looked lol. Definitely some memories there. I'm glad a few pictures came okay without me looking like a mess. Later on the day, I got an email about the video of my jump. H to the E to the double L's am I sharing it, I look so freaking retarded lol. I posted a decent photo on Facebook and several females were complimenting how hot John looked! John, if you're reading this, I promoted how great you were for those who want to skydive and said they wouldn't mind skydiving with you! Hope you are doing well. I had a great first time experience skydiving with you!

DO NOT GO SKYDIVING HERE! let me start off with this was my first experience jumping. I was already nervous and on edge to begin with. When I first arrived my weight was taken, and without noticed they charged me an extra 40$ because I was "overweight." I'm 5'7 and I weigh 198 pounds. It's not ideal, and I am technically "overweight." But I did some research, and the over weight charge is to make extra money. Other skydiving company's charge at the weight of 240. Nothing special was done to me because of my weight. NOTHING BESIDES AN OVERCHARGE. that's the first thing that happened. After my weight was taken, we sat around waiting to be harnessed up. Once we were harnessed we had some time continue hanging around, because we showed up pretty early. While hanging around, we came across the owner of the business. He walked up to my friend ( who was jumping with me.) and adjusted her harness, and talked shit about Wizard, whom was the one tandem skydiving with my friend. He said that Wizard was unprofessional, and didn't know how to do a harness. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU EVER SAY THAT TO A CUSTOMER WHO'S ABOUT TO JUMP OUT OF AN AIRPLANE! And if those things aren't enough... once my friend and I were on the airplane. My tandem instructor whispers something to my friends tandem instructor, wizard. He said something along the lines of " Don't get your pants wet, she's hot." WHAT THE FUCK. So if you want to feel shitty and be sexually harassed while skydiving, definitely go there

BUY THROUGH THEM NOT GROUPON. It's cheaper to buy through them. I had an amazing jump attached to Sebastian. He was sweet and informative and made me feel very safe and comfortable. I will definitely be jumping with him again in the summer. The entire staff was friendly and fun. Would recommend them to anyone. Plus Chattanooga terrain is absolutely beautiful to looking out onto.

There isn't enough space in this form to explain how much I love the people who run this place. I wandered in off the street one day and decided to start my licensing course. They had me jumping immediately and I learned more than I ever could have expected. Everyone there knows a little something and they're all eager to help out. They have a gorgeous airplane that's a quick comfortable ride to altitudes up to 18,000 feet (most other operations can't go past 10 or 12k). If you're doing a tandem, you'll have a blast. The instructors have such a good time with their tandem students and do so much more than just throw you out of a plane. Some of my best memories from this summer were from joking around with first time jumpers on the ride up to 14,000. Having had the privilege of getting to talk to a hundred or so people after they touched the ground, I can tell you that everyone was smiling, laughing or screaming about how they want to do it again. If you're thinking about jumping, do it and do it here. I couldn't recommend it enough.

My fiancé and I absolutely love this place! I had surprised him for his birthday with tickets to go skydiving here and we had an amazing experience. I can't say my fiancé was mentally ready at all considering I told him we were driving to "a birthday surprise" and he didn't know we were jumping 10,000 ft from a plane into the sky until we drove down Airport Rd. and he saw the sign. surprise! Anyway, the staff was super chill and made us feel real comfortable. We got there early so we had a little wait time, which was nice cuz we got to see other people go up (and come back down). There was actually a 75 year old woman who jumped before us that absolutely loved it. This gave us the confidence that we could do it too! When it was our turn, the staff gets in the plane first and you sit on their lap (kind of) and they strap you to them. They give you goggles and start recording how you're feeling on their GoPro. The flight up is nice as there's scenic greenery to see! Once you hit 10k in the sky, you're ready to jump! They lead you to the ledge...the scariest part is the actual jump since you're not really jumping onto anything. That being said, I recommend jumping off with two feet; don't try to take one step off or you're other foot might get caught. It took me a minute to gain the courage, but I finally jumped and it was MIND BLOWING! You're going down so fast but you don't feel like you're getting any closer to the ground' After a bit, the staff pulls the parachute and you go down slowly, really getting to take in the view. The staff lets you pull one side of the parachute so you can spin, which was fun! They give you guidance the whole time and the whole experience is recorded, which is great to look back at. You can buy your own GoPro to record the whole experience and take home with you and also additional pictures on a CD. But like I said, they actually videotape your whole experience on their GoPro and upload it to YouTube for free! Here's the link to our jumps: Justin's: https://youtu.be/jdp8fjsLXbw Mine: https://youtu.be/POsr_u-eDps Also, a year and a half later, after we'd gotten engaged, we called and asked if we could do an engagement shoot there as it was a significant memory in our relationship. The owner was super nice and let us! Overall - friendly and experienced staff, amazing experience. Ya gotta do it!
I saw a groupon for skydiving and have a very hard to shop for adult son that I thought this would be the perfect bday gift for. I called the company and they gave me the details and offered me a higher jump (14,000 feet vs the 10,000 foot jump Groupon had) with video for a great price so I scheduled the appointment and paid the deposit. They called me the day before and said the weather was looking better for the day after his appointment and offered me several times including the original time I had scheduled. When we arrived at Marion County Airport, there were tons of people everywhere in the hanger. The people who were scheduled for earlier had not gotten started due to heavy clouds. We visited with a worker who was friendly and directed us in signing in and upgrading our photography package which was $100 more but so worth it since this was my sons first jump and a birthday gift. They have tables chairs and couches to wait around in the hanger. Outside there was a few benches as well. After about an 45 mins the sky had cleared and they started with their earlier time groups. It was fun to watch all the excited groups get geared up and meet their instructors. Most all of the instructors were energetic, fun and friendly. Once they got going it was pretty crazy how time flew by. We were able to stand right outside the hanger and watch the plane make its path towards the field to start releasing skydivers. If you are there to watch, ask your participants instructor what color chute they will have so you can watch them in the sky. Seems like about 6-7 people jumped per plane load and once loaded in the plane the whole thing takes about 30 mins before back in ground by my estimate. We were invited to ride out to the field in a trailer that picks up the sky divers so I got a great view of my son coming in and landing! It was a great day, the extended photo package gives the option of raw or edited footage. We chose raw and ended up with TONS of video and probably 1,000 photos from 4 different cameras. One guy jumped with them and had two cameras as well as the instructor strapped to my son had 2 cameras. Make sure to leave you entire day free and brings snacks in case you have to wait out for better weather. I visited with several of the workers there during the wait and loved watching all the people who jumped before so I didn't mind spending 4-5 hours of my Sunday there at all. read more

First time skydiving, it was tandem, and it was wonderful. The beauty just took my breath away. I thought I would be terrified but Konrad was so sweet (and good looking) and I felt such trust jumping with him. I was worried about trusting someone to do this because it really is a lot of trust. It came easy with Konrad. I am writing this now still in the glow of the jump. I couldn't get the window soon enough to book another one. Yes there were some weather issues yesterday so I wasn't able to jump but that wasn't their fault. I can truly say this is one of the most amazing life experiences I have ever had. BTW I turned 62 this month and so this was my bday gift to myself. Don't wait that long. Go do it and do it here at Chattanooga Skydiving Company. read more

Waste of money! Review of Chattanooga Skydiving Company Pending review Two years ago, my family all met in Chattanooga, where a few of us were going to sky dive. We had family fly in from various parts of the country. They cancelled due to weather. Understandable. A year later, we all flew in again, and the pilot was sick so they cancelled. They refused to offer a refund, so we rescheduled for a 3rd time this summer, (I flew in from the west coast, 3000 miles away for the 2nd time), and they cancelled twice due to weather. They refused to offer refunds. That was the 4th time they cancelled. I talked to the manager and said I"m not flying 3000 miles again to do this and he still refused to offer me a refund. What a shady business, so unfair and I would not recommend this outfit to anyone!!!! read more

Okay... let me preface this by saying I'm scared of heights and I would give MY experience a 3... BUT... skydiving has been on my BucketList for quite some time and I knew it was not going to go away until I just did it already. That being said, I LOVED my experience with Chattanooga Skydiving Company! I very well could have been very fearful & hated it but I trusted my instructor Ted implicitly! Seriously... I'm not sure I could have done it without him. If I can get Ted again, I would consider doing it one more time to fully absorb the experience. The team was so friendly, personable, funny yet VERY professional and clearly knew their stuff. I emphatically give Chattanooga Skydiving Company a 5! read more

My husband have I have done 2 tandem jumps here over the past few years. The facilities are very rundown and even one of the aircraft we were on was held together with ducktape. The first experience I had was wonderful. I was able to look past all of the aforementioned shortcomings. We came in, filled out paperwork, watched the video and within about 20 mins or so were up the in the air. Great trip. The second time wasn't as great. We came in on a cloudy day with high winds so we had to wait about 4 hours in order to jump. That's find. Safety first and all of that. But because of the rundown facilities and lack of food available, my blood sugar dropped. Let's just say I did not enjoy jumping out of the aircraft that time. If you plan to come here, bring snacks because you never know when you'll be able to actually jump. The staff are nice enough but I'd prefer to go somewhere a little more comfortable. read more

Update: We paid to go elsewhere the same Friday we had booked with you. As everyone can tell by your snide comment about "my dog ate my homework excuses" you like to ridicule your customers. I made an impulse mistake and agreement or no, I called immediately after booking when I realized my error. I feel like you stole the 150$ from me. I have no intention of ever giving you business. As to the best views and aircrafts... Skydive Tennessee in Tullahoma had the best aircraft I've ever been on (I've skydives 3 other times and j was very impressed) and facilities, beautiful views and accommodating customer service. We had a wonderful experience and strongly encourage people to spend their dollars with them! The prices were even better and they give you additional discounts for bringing new people in the future! I will definitely be going back! So Nashville people: if you want to go somewhere closer and give your business to people who run a good business, Skydive Tennessee is your place! read more

Simply put, an AWESOME first skydiving experience! This place is staffed by a bunch of cool people who really love and live for skydiving. There were no bells and whistles, no fancy gimmicks, just straight up skydiving fun. I did a tandem jump with Rick and he was badass, awesome, and made me feel so comfortable - absolutely perfect, especially for a first timer. He mentioned having well over 1,000+ jumps with 36 years in the books, so these guys know definitely their stuff. The video and photos from my jump came out awesome, and they were all sent to me same day. I will DEFINITELY be jumping again in the future - hopefully at this location. Thanks, guys, for an incredible time and one-of-kind experience. Best first jump I could have ever hoped for! :) read more
An Amazing Experience. This was my first skydive and while I was excited, there is always a bit of nerves when it comes to jumping out of an airplane. I saw a decent deal on their website, and figured why not for an outing between me and the gf! Their location is the closest I could find to Nashville, but I met people who came from Geogria and South Carolina there as well. They are located inside of a relatively small airplane hangar. It's a bit cold in there, but we went on a cold day, so wasn't surprising I guess. They do have a waiting area that is heated with some seats as well. The experience was amazing, the service really good, professional, and enjoyable. The tandem jumping crew were very helpful, and answered questions, and demonstrated what was going to happen once in the air, so you knew what to expect. The plane seemed relatively new or atleast in good condition painted bright yellow, and offers an easy jump off point. You are jumping off the back right hand side behind the wings, and not from under the wings style of some older aircrafts, so this offers a much better view right before you jump from the plane. We did the 10K package, so the freefall lasted for about 20-30 seconds, and is absolutely thrilling. It's hard to breathe at first, but you get used to it, and once the parachute is pulled, it has some amazing views. They also give you the option of steering the parachute if you feel confident, or doing spins, but since this was my first experience, I played it safe and just looked around. Some tips: If you are going in cold weather, bring some gloves. We did not, and our hands were frozen by the time we landed, because the air up in the sky is much colder than on the ground. This won't be much of a problem when the weather heats up, but for cold weather outings, gloves and warm clothes are a must. Also, should bring a change of clothes, especially pants, because the landing style encouraged here is to put your feet up and land by sliding on the grass, which stains your pants. So having a second pair helps, especially if you are planning on going somewhere afterwards. All in all, I think pretty much anyone will enjoy this place, and the people are friendly, and it looked safe to me. They also upload the video to Youtube within the night, so you can freak your mom out when she refuses to believe you did such a wild thing! read more

Very stubborn people, had a good skydive but when it came to video and pictures they messed up and were not even willing to accept their mistake, the video they made was incomplete and still they were so rigid that they did not mess up, it was really disappointing to travel so far and do my first skydive with them. Did nothing to compensate for it, atleast would have given me my incomplete raw video, but no still arguing they didnt mess up, On top of it were asking for 40$ to purchase that incomplete raw video, I will never ever suggest to go to them and find some decent people to skydive with. I just read so many bad reviews about you guys, now it makes sense why all this happened, I am not the only one, there is a term called customer satisfaction and you should start learning it until its too late. read more
So I came here, terrified and wondering if I made the stupidest decision ever. But everyone there was so kind, friendly, and so fun loving that it actually helped ease my worries a bit. Then, I had been watching all the other people ahead of me go and they all unanimously exclaimed that it was literally the best thing ever. So I load into the plane, attached to the best guy (Ed), and we went flyinggggg! Wheee, it was sooo amazing! Literally and figuratively breathtaking and so worth the wait and the money (although, in all fairness, they seem to be reasonably priced). They take a ton of pictures and they upload your video on YouTube by the end of the day. You're famous for a bit! Thank you so much! I had the best time and I'm looking forward to coming back! read more

This place was amazing from the helpful staff who check you in to your jump instructor. I appreciated how the instructor continually reminded me of what I needed to do prior to my job. I'm from Atlanta and drove up to experience skydiving, upon entering we were told to fill out numerous liabilities form. After filling out the forms, the front desk receptionist MICHELLE told us that we could pay $40 to jump from 14,000 feet a 4,000 feet increase than the Groupon. She told us it was completely worth it, and would add another 30 seconds to our sky diving experience. Seeing as this is a once and a life time experience, I went with the $40 deal. Well come 2 hours later we find out that, since the morning, their normal plane is broken and the other plane would only be able to drop us off at 12,000 feet. Upon receiving this bit of information from other sky-divers (not management), we calmy asked MICHELLE for a refund. Her response, "No refunds all deals are final." Now I understand this policy, but its FALSE ADVERTISEMENT for a business to sell a service that DOESNT exist. She knew beforehand that the plane would not be able to go to up to 14,000 feet and lied to us; even responding that she did it to "get an upcharge from us." Additionally, on the form we checked a box for 14,000 feet and the additional charge; a service that does not exist. This company's policies are dishonest and law suiting awaiting. When talking to the owner, he responded that we were lying about his employee, and that she never said that, even going as far to say if we don't stop complaining he is going to kick us out. I was outraged, but kept it together to go sky diving, the reason i drove 3 hours. This owner and his some of the employees are currently operating on a EXTREMELY thin line. I'm pushing wholeheartedly for Groupon to drop their affiliation and am considering pursuing legal recourse. While the sky-diving experience was fun, I cannot support or ever recommend a company that so blatantly abuses their customers. My hope is that the few wonderful employees that do work their are able to find other work, in a positive environment. read more

Very poor customer service - they showed a complete lack of professionalism and care for customers. I scheduled with them while I was on vacation in the south and the canceled on me two times because "it was too cold" and after the two cancellations I was leaving the state and could not reschedule again. Although they told me I could reschedule within two years, I am not returned to the south in that time period and even if I was, I would prefer to drive farther to deal with a more reliable company that has better customer service and consistency. When I called for a refund they told me that they did not offer any and that their contract allowed them to cancel at any time before the reservation for any condition. $100 down the drain and a big disappointment. read more

I went with my brother while visiting family in Georgia (we're originally from New Jersey). It was a first for both of us and we both said we would go back. My only complaint is they aren't closer to us! My brother and I both did a tandem jump and brought an SD card for our raw footage. We both felt the staff that jumped with us were excellent and getting the video to edit yourself was worth it. It was a great first experience! I highly recommend Chattanooga skydiving! read more

Wish I could do less than a star; didn't even jump with them. The owner had no concept of customer service. His attempt to resolve a customer issue consisted primarily of getting angry, aggressive, and belligerently condescending. read more

As a first time sky diver, I didn't know the first thing about skydiving. All I knew was that I wanted to skydive and have lots of photos and a video to capture the experience. After looking at many different skydiving companies, I quickly realized that I would NOT be using Chattanooga Skydiving Company. I had a terrible experience based merely on a few phone calls. The man I talked to was extremely rude having hung up on me twice, sent my phone call to voicemail, huffed and puffed and said "oh my gosh, fine then use the other company". I called back after being hung up on for the second time and said I would like you to know about a terrible experience I had over the phone. The man replied by telling me that he did not want to hear my complaints and would not listen unless I had specific skydiving questions. Well, thank you to the man who pretended to be a manager on the first phone call and the owner another phone call. I will be taking your advice and going with the Skydive Tennessee Company in Tullahoma, TN. Michael was the best customer service representative that I've ever gotten the pleasure of talking to. He was helpful and very patient with all my questions. He never once raised his voice, never hung up on me, and for that, I will be rewarding them with my business. If you want a pleasant experience I recommend avoiding the Chattanooga Skydiving company at all costs. Tullahoma skydiving is the way to go for a great price and a great overall experience! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!I made a reservation on website for 8am skydive, and they just told me 8 o'clock is not available and they only can do it after 12??? Why do they set 8 to 12 am available online? And no caution for customer, and refuse to refund anything with a very bad attitude. Pls if you can handle your website, set the f**king time carefully! There is 4hours gap between your earliest available online and your real available time. For the people who uses the yelp, please don't come to this worst place to have fun. The other non-refundable skydive company will take care of their customers! But this one they only need your money, their front desk man is a bullshit read more

I purchased skydiving for my dad for Father's Day (it's something I've done a few times and he's always wanted to do). Our experience wasn't the best. From the second you walk in the door they're trying to up sell you at every angle, it's already an expensive experience so $40 here, $40 there adds up quickly. For my dad, we ended up getting the ultimate video package ($125 extra). Unfortunately, as his videography jumped, his camera fell off his helmet. I was reimbursed $75. Then, they gave us each a disk of our still photos. When I got mine home (three hour drive) I found my disk was complete corrupt and couldn't pull any pictures off of it. Overall the instructors were friendly, it felt like a very impersonal experience and they weren't very social. They didn't explain much and didn't talk to you a whole lot before. For it being my dad's first time, this made him very uneasy. They blatantly asked for tips (something I have never experience at a skydiving facility) and the video editing crew was kind of rude. The lady and the gentleman working the front desk were fabulous. If you are interested in skydiving somewhere in the southern states, I would recommend Skydive Alabama in Cullman. They take time with you and explain every aspect of the jump to you. They get to know you and learn your name. I would have felt better if my dads first experience was with them. read more

This was my first experience, I enjoyed the sky dive. I will definetly sky dive again, just not at this place. i purchased a seperate photo package, that turned out to be less than desirable. This compamy uses go pros for your video and still shots, so you are rolling the dice as to how your shots come out. My photo paackage was not as advertised, very mis-leading. After I reviiewed the photo CD I called and asked for a refund, After speaking to 5 different people I was denied a refund, they stated I had a chance to review before hand, I was not offered this opportunity, if so I would not of purchased the package. They refer to the video agreement you sign and say you knew the rules in advance. Too bad this company is willing to lose an advid customer and any networking referals for $40.00. read more

If you do not wanna spend that much money on skydiving, try to research this company's name on groupon, they have discount there. BUT you need to know that, if you buy the tickets on groupon, you will need to pay extra if you go during the weekend. Make sure you call them and make an appointment before you go (with the groupon discount). When we were there, they will ask you to take a survey, make sure you sign, and measure your weight, then you can jump! You can also pay $20 or $40 more per person so that you can reach a higher level to jump. In the end we pay $200 per person (including $20 for tips). The discount we bought also contains an video record on your coach's arm. BUT, if you want all of the photos and the full videos you need to pay $100... but if you only want two parts of the video (when you just jump and after you reach the ground), you can just research their youtube channel, they upload all of the video at the same day, then you can just download your video on youtube. But just let you know, you only takes a very short time to get back to the ground... like, 5 mins? you wont believe how fast it takes (and you will feel like $40 per min...) Well it is still a very good experience for a beginner, have fun! read more
Came here for my first skydiving experience and it was amazing!!!! Arrived 20 minutes early for an 11am appointment. Upon arrival an employee reviewed the video options which include the ability to upgrade the package but I chose to just keep the free 30 second video. Once that form was complete I went to the window and checked in to let them know I was here for my 11 AM jump. They have you get on a scale because there is a weight requirement to tandem jump. After that you'll wait to hear your name called over the loudspeaker. Note: The location is it very fancy, if you can use the bathroom before you get there I suggest you do that. Once they call your name you'll meet the instructor that you're jumping with and he or she will get you in your harness and give you the overview of what to do during the jump. After about 20 minutes, The six of us that we're going on the next load to jump we're gather together for another set of instructions to remind us of what to do. Then my instructor, Edvaldo, lead me onto the plane. We all loaded up and we took off. Another note: it's very close quarters on the plane... be mindful of that. We got to 18000 ft, scooted to the edge for the open door of the plane and off you go. The freefall was unbelievable!!! I can't even explain the feeling. Just do it!!! You'll love it. read more

I took my wife skydiving for her 28th birthday and we had a blast. There was a total of seven of us and we all loved it. I am writing this review for all of us. Everyone at Chattanooga Skydiving Company was very nice and helpful. Everyone was laid back and made us feel very safe as it was most of our first time skydiving. The price was very fair for all the fun we had. They take a video and edit for you and put it on Youtube for free. You can also purchase the raw video and photos of the entire dive. All the tandem jumpers wear two GoPro's to make this happen. I am now able to put together a photobook for her birthday. I am a fan of the little things and Chattanooga Skydiving Company definitely knows how to take care of you. Thanks again. read more

Came here with a group of guys for part of a bachelor party. Small company, cool people, easy to work with. Just buy your jump directly from them - the coupons and whatever else are just going to be a hassle for you and for them. The tandem instructors are nice guys - they'll take care of you and keep you safe. We were in a larger plane that holds 4 jumpers and 4 instructors + pilot. You'll get a youtube video with the standard package - you can see their standard youtube edits on their youtube webpage. Overall for the price I highly recommend Chattanooga Skydiving Company. read more

My dad was a paratrooper, so ever since I was old enough to try jumping off my front porch railings with a plastic bag "parachute" I've wanted to fall from the sky. I decided it was time to try, because I had a birthday and had talked about it to enough people that I felt brave enough to call the number and book. The skydiving experience in itself was equal parts exhilarating and relaxing. The thing I was most worried about going in was a) if it was going to be whiplash-like when the chute is pulled and b) if the landing would be rough. I asked my instructor about it and he said I didn't have to worry about that--he was right. When you first jump out of the plane it feels like you're swept off into a rushing river of air, and it's fast and free and surreal. Then, as soon as the chute is pulled (and it gently catches you--no whiplash!) it is QUIET and peaceful and you glide on down while staring gape-mouthed at the view. THEN my instructor let me pull on the straps and help do spins and turns--I felt like I was an animated character on Tail Spin--and we landed on this median of grass easy as you please, with me wanting to do it again. So I did. I came back five days later, brought my sister, and we jumped. It's even better the second time cause during the flight up I was anticipating the free fall like a kid waiting for Christmas. I don't think this whole experience would have been half as good without the staff/instructors who were doing everything they could to make sure we had a great experience: especially Michelle at the front desk, who let me bump up my booking to an earlier time when I was worried about making it back to Chattanooga for a work shift, let me borrow her hair tie, and gave my sister the shoes off her feet so she was able to jump (go figure that you can't skydive in flip flops. Wear tennis shoes!!). I scrolled down and saw a kind of nasty review from a "Weston L" and I want to address it because I was there the same day for my first jump, and I would like to clarify, cause this place deserves more stars than he's given. All morning while waiting to jump my first time, the staff, Michelle specifically, had told us their normal plane was getting a battery charged and they were down to their smaller plane. That meant fewer people could go up and a time and they were taking more trips but doing the best they could. Normally they could go up to 14,000 if you paid for the upgrade, but this time they could most safely only get up around 12,000 in the smaller plane. I was only going to go up to around 10,000 feet without the upgrade, so I was happy with an extra 2,000 feet to up the free fall time. It was $30 bucks extra because I booked directly with CSC and not groupon--and seemed worth it for more time in the air. Michelle had us fill out wavers and check the box that said "14,000 feet," because that was the only box available to check other than 18,000 feet (you need oxygen and the big plane for that option, I hear!) but she explicitly explained that they could only go up to 12,000 because they were limited with the small plane. She said this quite a few times to all of us in the waiting area. Then I looked up and saw Weston L and his family yelling about Michelle "lying," about how they wanted to go to 14,000, wanted a refund, wanted to sue, etc. It wasn't pretty, and it looked to me like either they weren't listening the first time or they just wanted to throw their weight around and get free stuff. I don't normally step in, but Michelle's boss walked up to her to ask what happened, so I put in a word for her--because she was clear about the limitations of the day and about what we were getting when we upgraded. 12,000 feet in the small plane. So the owner stood up for Michelle and tried to diffuse the situation, giving the family free photos from the jump etc. At that point they left to sit out in their car to wait while screaming about a "lawsuit." They still wanted to jump, though. My friends and I were glad to see this family leave the waiting area because a) I hate to see people get pushy just to see what they can get, and b) screaming in public does nothing to enhance the atmosphere in an air hanger. My friends and I jumped had fun. They wanted to act angry and entitled. That's less fun. Go skydive. Have fun. Be kind to people. It's a great experience with staff who are trying to give people the gift of rushing through the air and seeing clouds from the top-side. I'd like to do it a third time. Thanks so much, CSC! read more

Where do I even begin... Let's start with the awesome company owner (in my MOST sarcastic tone ever!) Justin Silvia! This guy has absolutely NO business running anything... He does not engage with his customers, unless he's snapping out on them (Ooh wait, I have video of him going off a customer who asked a question he didn't like). He does not know how to talk to people. He clearly does not care about his customers, it's just about the money and he will definitely try to milk a dollar out of you every way possible. Next let's talk about the awesome facilities Justin owns... my friend and I should have ran when we had the chance. You pull up to this run down, janky looking building, there's no building sign anywhere indicating the company name... OK, no biggie. Inside there's 1 run down scary movie bathroom with a sign that says "out of order, use portable potty in parking lot... you go out there and the guy says oh, the bathroom is fine, we just haven't taken the sign down... Needless to say, but nothing in the bathroom works... toilet won't flush, water barely comes on, and it hasn't been cleaned probably...well ever!?!? There's no water fountain, but instead a small water cooler, (that surprise surprise was dirty inside) with water, no ice and once it's gone, it's gone. Ooh let me not forget the awesome training that's done via a 5 min video from 1980. Lastly, let me mention how ALL of the "company policies" are a crock and seem to be made up case by case. My friend and I were there at 10:45am and were supposed to jump 1st, due to rain, we ended up having to wait the whole day (no one's fault, nature can't be controlled) but once it came time to jump, we were bumped to the 3rd group without notice or explanation. When my friend approached Justin to find out what was going on, she was snapped on and then told she needed to leave the premises. Turns out, he decided to put the ppl he suckered into paying extra money 1st. From the business side, we got it, but the way it was handled and explained was VERY unprofessional! I could literally go on for days about this place and how awful it was, but I won't.... Just save yourself the time, money, and headache and DO NOT go here! Ooh and DONT pay the extra for the video, EVERYONE'S video is uploaded to the company YouTube page! The only good thing about the place was mine and my friends instructors Scott & Elvado...coolest dudes ever!! read more

Labor day weekend I decided to surprise my husband with something new and exciting. I reviewed and called almost every skydiving company within 120 miles of me. I asked a lot of questions and got a lot of prices. I decided to go with Chattanooga Skydive because they were offering a great deal and it included the video. Best choice to choose them. We were running a little late and when we called they told us to be safe and not to worry about it. When we arrived they had an area our daughters could sit and watch the planes and our landing. The whole staff were very welcoming, and the atmospehere is relaxed (especially important if your a first time jumper). After filling out the paper work we had a few minutes to watch other skydivers and then we were prompted on jumping technique, landing, etc. and suited up with our harnesses. After this we were introduced to our tandum partner (I was partnered with Voldo, he kept me from freaking out). We loaded the plane and started our journey to 14,000 ft. On our way up I could feel my nerves start to get the best of me. Voldo and the other tandum partners made light of jumping and kept the mood happy and carefree (This kept me from panicing). When it was finally my time I was confident in Voldo that I would be safe so I decided to just push my nerves aside and go for it. The initial fear of falling out of a plane is quickly replaced when you are free falling. There isnt much talking when the wind is speeding past you. But as soon as your parachute deploys and you see the earth below you and the air is pure as can be it soon becomes one of the best experiences you will ever have. On the parachute ride down my tandum partner showed me the different rivers and told me a little about the area. In all my experience was amazing. I couldnt have picked a better place to skydive for the first time. My calls were returned right away, the assistant answered all my questions (there was a lot), the staff was knowledgeable and had lots of experience. I have had skydiving on my bucketlist for a long time, now it is replaced with becoming a solo jumper. read more

Business regularly advertises deals with Groupon and other sites. I purchased the Groupon deal, which stated that you have to call them in order to book with your Groupon voucher. No big deal, lots of places are like that. I (and a friend who also purchased it) then spent 3 weeks attempting to book. The business never once answered their phone, and they would not return any messages either. Also tried emailing them, and even tried their Facebook (they promptly deleted the post). AVOID. AT. ALL. COSTS. Apparently they can't even be bothered to honor coupons that they put out there, much less return a phone call or answer the phone in the first place. Take your money up to Tullahoma instead to the company up there. VERY nice people. Tennessee Skydiving. They know how to take care of people. read more

I have jumped only a few times in my 50 something years. Not much, but enough to know the difference between a rinky dink out fit and a serious professional one....chattanooga skydiving company has got it going on. 1st the equipment is top shelf, everything...everything is 1st class, from the go pro's to the airplane (which is a for real purpose only ski diving plane) there are no corners cut. 2nd the staff is professional to the point of perfect, and professional enough to be comical enough to make the jitters disappear. 3rd, I dont know if you have shopped the prices, but they are least expensive I have found....I cant believe in this day and age that you can get that kind of quality, top to bottom, for that kind of price. Well done guys.....well done. read more

OK, I couldn't help but read some of these reviews about the bad customer service with Chattanooga Skydiving Company. Do not let these few reviews discourage you. They must have went to some other place. We have been to Chattanooga Skydiving Company 3 times now. We brought 4 people for Father's Day, and one had to reschedule due to weather. They were very courteous about the reschedule even though weather is out of their control. The 3rd time, we had 4 more jumpers, and once again, the staff was so amazing. My first instinct to go with Chattanooga Skydiving Co was spot on. Every staff member I met were very friendly and professional. I felt I was among friends, felt well informed and completely safe from take off till landing. My instructor was Joe but I also met and dealt with Mr. Silvia (owner). Both were friendly and well prepared for questions and answers. I read reviews of the business before reservations and to be honest, if there were not one or two negative reviews, I would have had reservations. I will highly recommend this business and will be returning for more air time. Thanks for an awesome experience Chattanooga Skydiving Co! read more

They have to be bored with monotony of doing hundreds of jumps each week but they still make it exciting for each person. They are super thorough about instructions and safety.
