This place is connected to a hotel in the original part of Creston quite a ways from our hotel on…read morethe edge of town. It's well worth the drive with plenty of parking on the street and close by. It's not a quiet place, being a pub, but doubly so when the Jays are playing the Yankees in the ALDS up two nothing and 12 runs having been scored in the first four innings. If you're looking for peace and quiet go elsewhere. It's an interesting place, with plenty of charisma. The staff writer as great, helpful and accommodating of perhaps a little prone to tending the tables instead of us at the bar. That said we didn't feel neglected at all even though we were left pretty much alone after our food was dropped. My chicken souvlaki was quite good, with big chunks of chicken breast that was very nicely cooked, not dry at all, not easy to accomplish. The potato and rice pilaf was also very good, as was the tzatziki and the pita. Solid meal! The lovely K had the Veggie Alfredo with Caesar salad and garlic bread which was plentiful, piping hot and tasty. The salad we shared was shaved romaine with diced red onion, dill and apple cider vinaigrette. It didn't sound good to me, but we ordered it anyway, and it was really good. Would we go back, hell ya!!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Food is delicious and fresh. The owners are lovely…read moreand helpful with questions about the dishes. Comfortable booths and tables. My friends from out of town, large cities,.. are always impressed with this little jewel of a place.

In a word: disappointing…read more I ate here shortly after they first opened, and the service was attentive and the food was amazing. Tonight's visit made me wonder if I was in the same place. We sat at the bar and ordered beer and pappadum while we decided on our takeout order. Our waiter was unsmiling and very inattentive. Our pappadum arrived quickly, and while it was good it only came with one (tandoori) sauce. Every other Indian restaurant I have ordered pappadum from has come with at least three sauces. I should have taken it as a sign. Our order came out, and the waiter put the bag on the bar, then went to ring up a customer who just came in (but whose food was not ready yet). Excuse me?? The waiter took his time, got the man's payment, and then went into the back to wait for his order. Meanwhile, our food is getting cold. After he finishes dealing with this customer, it is like he forgot us. I had to grab his attention to pay for my meal. The best thing about the whole meal was the vegetarian samosas. They were deliciously spicy and a wonderful consistency. Then it all went downhill from there. Butter Chicken was ordered a spice level of 4 out of 5. Not spicy at all, too sweet, lacked salt and the sauce to chicken ratio was way too much. Finding the chicken in this dish was a version of "Where's Waldo". Tandoori chicken was bland, almost flavourless. Chana Masala, also ordered a 4 on the same spice level was incredibly bland, and hardly had any sauce. The garlic naan was also a disaster - it ranged from thick, doughy and uncooked to thin, crispy and burnt. We also ordered rice - they managed to cook that right, but it's pretty hard to screw up plain white rice. I paid $74.50 for this horrible meal. We definitely will not be back, and will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal in Creston.
