Though the Chateau wasn't in the heart of the wine region is was close enough to the area (10 min drive) and acted as a retreat from the tourist hub-bub. The staff were very friendly and kind. So was the family that live there.
We were upgraded to a suite when we arrive and had a very nice introduction by Severine the hostess. They also had a list of restaurants in the region (not in the touristy areas) the offered excellent, regional cuisine.
They were very flexible with our departure time, too, allowing us to take a long walk the last morning of our stay and take in the beautiful surroundings and nature verses rushing us out the door. Thank you.
Only points of improvement would be to have a proper shower and hairdryer in our suite. Though it was beautiful to see the day breaking each morning, we could have used curtains on our windows, too. Also, would have enjoyed a little more variety with the breakfast, but everything was fresh and flavourful. Lastly, offering some type of Wifi connection would have been nice, too.
Other than that, our stay was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend this place to friends and family if they are ever in the area. read more
