Great facility, however the lifeguards all seem extremely rude and like they hate their jobs. Major bad energy

I've been to mallards a few times now and always is amazing!…read more Our usual go to is the shrimp boil for two. This shrimp boil is some of the best in Minnesota that I've had! We've brought countless friends here to try it and it's a heafty feat! You get around 40 to 50 pieces of shrimp, around 10 things of potatoes, six things of corn, and sausage too... it's humongous. You really get your moneys worth! If I'm being honest I haven't tried anything else here but I can assume it's equally amazing! I'm really looking forward to coming back here in the summer and enjoying this on their outdoor patio. But so far really love mallards and will always recommend it as it go to spot for anything seafood related! At our most recent stop our waiter was kind gave us lots of recommendations and was quick to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything throughout our entire experience. This goes for each time we've been here, the service has always been wonderful. I find it this location really unique and it sits on upscale while also being able to be casual. Thank you Mallards for a wonderful time!

The best thing I ate was the bang bang shrimp taco. Got it during happy hour. Shrimp was crispy and saucy. Had a nice lil spice to it. The crab cake was thin but still good. my son enjoyed his smash burger, the Tennessee spicy chicken sandwich was good but a little dry. Cajun shrimp with creamy corn risotto was ok, was t expecting so much risotto. The shrimp was cooked to perfection but risotto was a big too heavy. The jambalaya was lacking flavor and spice.

The inside is quite swank, featuring a pretty large bar area on the right when you first enter. We were there for a sit-down dinner, so we proceeded around the left to the counter to get a table. I noticed this place must have a decent loyal following because of the merch you could purchase there at the counter (tee shirts, hats, sweat shirts, etc)! It wasn't too busy despite it being Friday night, so we got a table right away. It was really hard to pick what I wanted off the menu because A LOT of the options looked deliciously tempting (just gonna have to go back), but I eventually decided on a shrimp pasta, and that was the RIGHT choice. Mmm, so good! And a decent portion for the price too, as I took half of it home in a to-go box. I was pleased by the speed at which they got our order ready, as well as how attentive the server was (my in-laws suck down iced tea like no one's business, but she managed to keep them topped off regularly). The parking lot is interesting, as it has above ground and underground parking (probably nice to have the option to go below during the snowy winters around here). It shares the parking lot with a grocery and some other things, which felt a bit cramped, but as I said, we happened to be there when it wasn't too crowded somehow.

We got the steak alfredo, which compared to other times lacked some seasoning and was a bit watery, but the steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare. The jambalaya was very tasty as well. Continually amazing!…read more We stopped in here the other night for the tried and true fish and chips. O'Brien's Public House always has some of the best fish... however you like it. My husband got the fish tacos for the first time and loved them.. It was a really healthy portion and even had some leftovers. I stuck with my favorite, the cod & chips, these are always amazing! Our server was very friendly and it was a pretty slow night but great service overall. Can't wait to stop back again and enjoy even more food!

It was not busy and we had to wait for about 10 minutes to be sat. We were looked at and not acknowledged. Makes the mind wonder why. The bartender/waitress was short and rude and when I had an issue paying my bill on their online portal, she tried to make a joke that "she didn't want to talk to me", but it came off completely transparent. I ordered the beef stroganoff and it was bland. The worst part? There were 4 of the smallest hunks of meat in the entire dish. I love mushrooms, but there were about 30 of them in there. I'd rather have meat, especially since the dish is listed at $22. The only thing that went well was the fries and their house ranch. Since I can get good fries at a lot of other locations that treat you with respect, I'll head there.

I got the rigatoni with just the meat and sauce and the gluten free noodles. It was HOT when it comes do very fresh. The brisket was chunks in there which had good flavor. It was odd at first to have that smoked chucked brisket with the red sauce but it all worked well together. I would get it again. My partner got the Cajun burger on the gluten-free bun with the kettle chips. He was surprised they didn't ask oneness of the burger. He said it the burger was good just dry since there was no sauce on it. And he didn't think ketchup would work with it. But he liked it. He said the kettle chips were amazing! We would go back if we were in the area for sure.
