I can certainly understand how busy the roofers are specially after a storm but what I can not understand is going to a property and let a potencial customer just hanging. David Spikings was the assigned person from Chase Roofing. I believe he went to the property sometime in October. After that I called the office on 11/2/17, 11/6/17, 11/10/17, 11/15/17 And finally on 11/22/17. Spoke with David once, Jessica and kelly and no one knew why the delay on David's part on providing the estimate. Unfortunately that first time impression at this point is already damaged. I was not going to waste my time putting out a review on this company, but thought it appropriate to warn others as they caused several in my family large headaches with trying to get someone out to provide an estimate to repair the carport and roof on my sister-in-laws home in Fort Lauderdale. I set up an appointment with John Chase and it was confirmed with him and his inside staff as to the time and location a few miles from their office. We all even sent texts to confirm who was meeting with who, phone numbers and especially date and time. Setting up a time to meet John Chase was important to my family as my brother was driving to Fort Lauderdale from Miami and we all needed to coordinate schedules. My brother and I are assisting my sister-in-law in this roof repair process as she has no experiences in roofing or contracting a repair on her home. The trip for my brother was about and hour one way and in traffic, so we made sure this time was good for all parties. Well, John never showed up nor did he or his company call us back to say what happened or to reschedule. When he was late, my brother and I called him, left cell phone messages and I even called his office asking if John was coming over for the estimate. Even the staff at Chase Roofing could not contact him, nor did they know where he was. Needless to say, they did not call us back even when I asked if they would. I find Chase Roofing's lack of response and attention to our matter unacceptable. I understand the complexities of running a business, especially one that is busy at this time of year. In my 30 years of customer focus business, I or my staff always called back and let customers know if there was a problem on our end. I even gave Chase Roofing a few days to respond to us as I asked them to call us back should there have been a misunderstanding. No response, which is sad for a company with supposedly good ratings under Yelp, but I do see they have done this to other customers as well. It is not hard to call back a customer if a problem arises, but no response is a sign for new customers to stay away. Actually, we are happy we found out they have little respect for others time, which in my experiences usually equates to shoddy or poor quality work. Now we are off to more reliable roofing contractors that respect their customers time as I respected their time. If you are too busy or just too disorganized say this upfront and don't waste people's time. You wasted our time and also lost a good amount of business to repair a roof and carport. Greg read more

Shout out to Chase Roofing. Not for the work they did, but for the work they DIDN'T do! I was convinced that I had a leak around the vent stack on my roof. Chase Roofing sent someone out within 48 hours to check it out. He walked the entire roof and then asked for access to my attic. He informed me that my roof is fine. He checked the wood decking from the attic and everything was dry. He said the source of the water I was dealing with on my floor was not due to a roof leak. He took no money and did not even consider taking advantage of an easy situation to sell me something I didn't need. Great job and thank you! And a little advice for the rest of you..... check your AC drain regularly, before you end up with a flood from an unknown source. read more

Chase Roofing ripped us off. After paying them the agreed amount we got horrible workmanship and horrible customer support. We hired Chase Roofing to re-roof our property and the result is a leaking roof after every rain that causes irreversible damage to the house. They turned a habitable house into inhabitable, forcing us to evacuate. By claiming to be operating under the contract, Chase Roofing rejects all responsibility to address this disaster. I had a couple roof leaks, and I called a number of roofing contractors in South Florida to have a look and give me an estimate. Everyone came in within spitting distance of each other on the estimate, but I ultimately went with Chase for one main reason: PROFESSIONALISM. Chase was the only company that promptly returned my call (with some of the other contractors, I had to call again and again, with unfulfilled promises of "we'll get back to you this afternoon" day after day). The service manager, David, showed up exactly on time on the date we scheduled for him to have a look (again, this was not my experience with most of the other companies), and he very competently walked me through the estimate. The two Chase roofers who actually came to do the repairs (again, showing up on time both days) were really excellent, and went above and beyond in taking care of a couple issues for me. They showed me everything they were doing, answering any questions I had. It's tough to find contractors in South Florida who aren't just fly-by-night outfits that will take your money, perform some shoddy repair, and then disappear. I'm sure they're out there, but I've personally had trouble finding them. Chase Roofing, on the other hand, was such a surprising pleasure to deal with. They're serious, professional, and customer-service oriented, and I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

What took longer than expected were the city inspections, but that is out of their control. Philip Dray was my project manager during the entire process and he was the sweetest, most polite professional to work with. He even got the company to be flexible with me on the pricing. I loved the communication I received all throughout the process, from getting a quote to finished product, as I was kept in the loop about everything. It was a true delight and pleasure dealing with these pros. Oh, and they sent me a thoughtful gift after everything was completed. From reading the reviews, my first phone call to the final product... it was fast, friendly, and very efficient. We had a small leak in our roof next to our fireplace, they came out to do an estimate in a timely fashion, also provided pictures of the before and after. This roofing company seems like they are in the business for the right reasons, and for great customer service too. Payments were easy to make online and staff was always available for any questions or concerns I had. I will definitely recommend Chase roofing. You can't go wrong with a company that values their clients and keeps in constant contact to make sure you know their every step on your project. I cannot thank Chase roofing enough for a great job. Absolutely the WORST customer service from a roofing company I have ever had. Promises to return calls were never fulfilled. Finally they called back and agreed to come give us an estimate. They wasted my time and my family's time by coming out. They promised to email an estimate. I waited a few days and when no estimate arrived I sent Andy (the guy who showed up) an email asking where the estimate was. No reply. I sent a 2nd email asking for him to please respond. No reply. I finally gave up, contacted another company and am satisfied with the estimate I received. I cannot in good conscience tell anyone to call Chase Roofing. read more

This is the WORST roofer I have ever experienced in sixty years! I had to call Code Enforcement to stop them as they have covered up dry rot on my home in many places and also closed up a bathroom vent and covered it over with sheathing. Our neighborhood of 35 homes have been done slapshod and now, finally, an engineer must come in to check the miserable, DISHONEST, OUT OF INTEGRITY work done in this community and on my home. Had an obviously bad area on the flat roof over our patio, called a few companies for quotes. Usual S. Florida experience, some never bothered calling back, one appt never showed up, etc, etc. Chase came out and left an estimate for us, which we decided to go with. I stressed on scheduling that we had 2 dogs, one of which will run if given the chance. Don't leave the gate open, don't leave nails or other debris. They did both. Onto the actual work. I was asked to be there between 7.30am and 8.30am to meet with crew. At 9.00 am I had to call to see where the crew were. Apparently there was "traffic"...highly unusual for S. Florida, so I can understand how that could not be planned for. If it was me, I would have called my customer to let them know I was running late. I was under the impression my whole flat roof was being replaced, it's approx 30ft x 10ft. Quote said "multiple leaks", and I'm not sure how you can be sure there is no other damaged wooden underlay without removing all the old felt material? Chase removed part of the old covering, did replace a rotten board and a 4 x 2 beam, then put new felt/tar on that area and along front edge, then covered the whole roof with aluminum coating to extend life. Overall, I feel I paid way too much for the work done, but I'm told that replacing the whole patio flat roof would be much more. My advice here...always, always, always make sure you have a very detailed written description of the work being done. A description that you understand, not the contractors description that they understand and you don't. All of that said, I have to also report that the response to contacting Chase with my issues was (eventually) first class. Getting an appointment with the supervisor (?) proved difficult, and we finally settled on a phone conversation. During this call, I learned a bit about roofing, vented my frustration and received a promise of a visit. He did come out, did what he said he would do regarding some minor damage left by his crew. I made the final payment and vented some more that no-one sent a receipt or a thank you. The owner of the company, Tamara, then offered to come out along with supervisor Joe, and meet face to face, which I agreed to. We basically covered everything that went on before, during and after the job in an amicable and adult fashion. I appreciate the fact that she was open enough to take responsibility for what went wrong, and that she listened to my constructive criticism. Overall, only 3 stars on this job because of the issues experienced on this occasion, but the response means I would not rule out using them again. read more

These guys are awesome. Great experience. Very impressed with the technology they used. The sales rep was able to provide a digital quote right on the spot. He had a portable printer as well and gave me a very professional package. The work was done well and they took pictures every step of the way. I even got up on the roof with them to see the damage that they were able to repair. The payment experience was also great. I was able to pay through email with a click of a button. Professionalism in the roofing industry should be defined by Chase Roofing. We had a large project on a very intricate new tile roof, and from start to finish I was impressed. I did my diligence and got my three quotes all from large reputable roofing companies. Of the three, Chase Roofing's quote was very detailed and provided a step by step process. Out of the three quotes, it was the only one that was typed and easy to read. Surprisingly the other two quotes by two other large reputable roofing companies were one page and hand written. Chase gave me two pages of detailed typed information and then another two pages of warranty information. I knew at this point who I was going to go with. If they can put this kind of professionalism into a quote package, then I knew I would be in good hands throughout the project, and I was correct. Every email request, question, or issue I had was dealt with immediately and correctly. Two months later and our roof has been through three major rain storms and we haven't had a single leak, and even if we did, I know I could call and I have confidence it would be dealt with immediately. My roof was completed by Chase in January 2019. Contract signed in April. Permit came through in July & roof finally completed in January.It took a long time but I do understand it was supply and demand because of hurricane Irma. The biggest asset imo with Chase roofing is Corina Flowers. She always had a smile on her face and a flower in her hair and I can't thank Corina enough for her help. There was lack of communication. They were short people due to overwhelming work load but The lack of communication was frustrating. I had a problem that wasn't taken care of. Called Corina & she handled it immediately. We had a 10-year-old roof that was working well and no leaks. We were decided to remodel the entire place, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, everything... and the roof. Called Chase Roofing, paid $14k and got the roof installed after delays of 3 weeks from originally planned installation day. This was back in April. May showers start to come in, leaks in 2 places. Call them, they say is NOT THEIR FAULT, because the drainage pipes must be broken from the inside and that's why it leaks. MIND YOU, THIS NEVER LEAKED BEFORE! After a battle of days with everyone on the phone and emails (including Tamara and John - the owners), they finally came to the property and re-made one of the drainage pipes... AND TURNED IT INTO A 1/2 DRAIN PIPE (scupper is the name they use) ON A 1700 SQ.FT ROOF!!!! I am not a professional roofer, but it doesn't take a PhD to know that won't drain properly on a flat roof that large... in effect, the water is ponding on the roof up to 1.5 feet high, causing damage to the structure and more leaks. We had to evacuate everyone during this last showers, and the guys from Chase do not answer the phone or emails from us. read more

I pass this place several times a week when visiting one of my locations a couple of doors down. There's always activity in the yard between the many company trucks and employee vehicles around. I decided to stop in one day, in need of a single tile for my roof that was broken by a fallen palm fron. I entered the office which is a bunch of cubicles and everyone working like busy bees so I had to make my presence known. I was greeted by a young lady Juanna (pronounced Jonna) and I explained what I was looking for. She took me outside and we walked along the pallets of used tiles stacked along the fence line until I spotted what looked like the tile I needed. She was nice enough to give me the tile without charging and did an excellent job asking how old my roof was and pitching me to consider them when I needed a new roof or repair. I thought the whole experience was just great and while I'm not in the market for a new roof thankfully I'd definitely get a quote and consider them in the future. We had two minor roof-related leaks. We called three different roofing companies for competitive bids. We chose CHASE because: 1) They're super professional, certified with liability insurance and confident with their expertise. And David, the Services Manager showed up on time 2) David came to access our issues and went through in detail what he recommended and provided us a typed, line-item estimate and proposal describing the scope of the work how much the job would cost. AND he wore shoe covers as a courtesy to avoid soiling our floors. 3)They're locally and privately owned and managed by women! 4) BONUS: the two guys, Vastile & Matthew who showed up -- AGAIN ON TIME -- were also professional, courteous, knowledgeable and explained each step of the process. 5) They re-assured us everything was good and fixed per the proposal...there were no surprises. no hiccups. 6) They guarantee their work. The old adage you get what you pay for comes to mind with Chase Roofing & Contracting. They may cost a bit more money than some of the other roofing companies, but well worth the investment. I would give them no stars if the option was available. Stealing the name of an established business (Chase bank) to create trust is a clever trick for such a dishonest company. We called for an estimate, they guy they sent showed up 2 hours later than scheduled, I took time off work to meet him and wound up losing money waiting around without so much as a courtesy call to let me know they were running behind. When he finally DID show up he asked to use our bathroom and was in there for about half an hour. We later discovered that my wife's pain medicine prescriptions were gone. The estimate he gave us was literally thousands higher than Paul Bange Roofing. Save yourself a headache and your precious time and call a professional. AVOID THESE CLOWNS AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

As a result of poor communication with Chase we had to hire a painter to complete a portion of the job they started. Despite providing them paint and speaking with both the sales and installation supervisors on multiple occasions their poor communication and lack of attention to detail cost us an additional $800. They have refused to reimburse us for this expense or even acknowledge our request for reimbursement. Additionally, I had to personally clean nails, metal flashing, and empty water bottles out of my gutters after assurances they'd clean the gutters following the reroof. We had no issues with the workers actually performing the job and it was our pleasure to buy them a lunch during the process. read more

Not really having any immediate resources handy, I searched Yelp cross-country for her to send her the names of a few companies with great reviews. Chase was #1 on my list due to all of the glowing comments, and actually ended up being my mom's #1 after meeting with 3 roofing companies. While their initial bid was likely going to come in a bit higher than our lowest quote, Chase Roofing not only just about matched the price, but also adjusted their warranty to meet the competing company's bid. Above all, my mom was most impressed by how prepared they were to meet with her, bringing copies of their awards and photos of their prior work, and how they carefully explained the work they would be doing in detail. While I didn't personally have the pleasure of meeting them, everyone that my mom spoke to or met with were nice as can be. They realized the immediate need, showed up promptly at their appointment times, completed the work flawlessly, and my parents are beyond happy with the final results.
