The wire transfer clearly stated it was a 2014 prior year deposit. Little did I know, until yesterday, ION doesn't "read wire transfers" and only deposits them for current year. As a result I can now only add $1750 to her account due to IRS limits. And ION refused to correct the issue and send the IRS an amended docs. Fortunately, I kept proof of the wire memo in BOAs system to show IRS if needed down the road. When I called BOAs HSA dept they were stunned. BOA customer service rep, who has worked for BOA, for 7 years, they said they make HSA corrections all the time and file amended forms to IRS and customer within 3 days. I informed my NML health insurance provider since he recommended the no service bank.

I refuse to give CCI a decent rating because the 'gentleman' I seemed to get whenever I called the…read moreDanbury, CT office was never decent to me. I know the difference compassionate and supportive financial assistance vs what I experienced every single time I contacted CCI over a span of about 2+ years. You see, I contracted with a debt management program 3 years ago. Like many, my debt was medical. I was retired on a fixed income and recently widowed. I know the difference between compassionate assistance and the customer service I received from the same guy at CCI. I have been waiting to hear back from CCI regarding taking a lesser amount in one payment in order to end my relationship with CCI. I never knew that could be an option until my doctor's office sent me a letter offering 30% off my balance if I payed in full. Of course I did! I called CCI to request the same thing and that guy said he would discuss with his manager and get back to me. He never did! Instead, he sent my debt to a credit report! I just checked my rating and it went up (awesome), however, I also noticed that CCI submitted my medical debt (2) $188 charges. On top of that, I had a couple of conversations with that guy about the charges. He KNEW I was investigating the charges and like I said, he was going to discuss my offer in compromise with his manager. Next thing I know, those two $188 medical charges were on my credit report! Imagine my shock! I am livid and feeling completely confused and concerned about my ever improving credit score. I'm shocked actually. I'm pretty sure I am going to go to CCI's office for a face to face with that guy and his manager. He needs a different job. He was so blasé and mean spirited every time I spoke with him over 2+ years which actually, was about 4 times. In the meantime, I am only 1 payment away from paying off $15,000 to MMI. CCI was actually one of my creditors listed with MMI. I got a letter from them telling me my debt portion to CCI had a ZERO balance. I wanted written verification from CCI and contacted them for what I thought would be the last time. NOPE! That guy was happy to tell me that I had those two medical debt payments to make. I'm making yet another phone call to CCI to ask why they decided to refer me to a credit report AFTER I called them to make an offer in compromise and why they never contacted me. Fingers crossed for some kind of help!
