Was very upset that I was charged an 8$ fee to cash a check here, a check that my job gave me, a job that has a multi million dollar account with chase bank. Let me just say that I work really hard for my money, and to be told that it costs 8$ to cash my check is very unreasonable, and yes I did get mad and when the bank teller told
Me to have a nice day I did say very loudly well I probably won't because you just ripped me off for 8$. Then when she gave me that look of disbelief. I said yeah it's that deep and I stormed out the door. I then proceeded to go on Facebook and leave a message for chase bank just so you guys know that this 8$ is ridiculous and that no other banks that I've ever been to charge this fee. I was responded to by someone who only reiterated the policy to me, like I wasn't already aware and that was my reason for the message in the first place. I was told you that the fee was because you provided me a service. Well I'm still waiting for the service because usually when you work at a job and they give you a paycheck you can take that paycheck to the bank where the check was drawn from and cash it, no questions asked. Apparently those days are long gone. I also don't want to hear that if I had an account then the fee would be waived. I wouldn't bank with a company that rips people off and pretends they are providing them a service. I'm lucky I have direct deposit now at Huntington which by the way is a way better bank than you'll ever think of being. read more
