Bank of America is generally a 3-STAR bank on a good day. This location was a 2-STAR branch. It's…read moreoverall Functionality and Appeal was average for BofA (below average for Wells or Chase) 1) Bank of America Executives don't trust its employees to make ANY decisions based on banking relationships including waiving fees or releasing any hold on funds. Even when the decision is obvious to the operations or branch manager. 2) Bank of America might as well be an online bank. Every solution involves the client calling a toll free number for resolution. 3) The main purpose of the branches is to sell services and products and conduct cash transactions. That's it. 4) For example, the customer in front of me at the teller window was trying to cash his pay check without paying his overdrawn balance-he did not seem to care that he was overdrawn. BofA was pretty nice about it and he decided to take his paycheck to a check cashing service or so he said. If I was the ops manager, I would code his account to not allow him to have a negative balance in the future. This was just my observation and I am not saying that they did not do that. But I guess BofA likes that overdraft fee income (i.e. Junk Fees). I recommend both Wells and Chase. I love Wells and they treat me great-I have been with them since 2011. They were around the corner from my house in California. Chase is great too and more aggressive in lending, bank operations, etc. than Wells, which is very conservative. Both banks respect the customer relationship and both bank's employees are empowered to make decisions. I highly recommend Chase and Well Fargo. I do like BofA MasterCard as it allows me to get into some museums for free and they gave me an aggressive credit line.

I asked for a letter of fulfillment at that time and was told it would take 3-5 business days to get it. I asked if it could be expedited and was told they would get it to me in 1-2 business days. I did not receive it as promised and inquired about it today. I was told by Christine, a "member service specialist," that it would take another 1-2 business days. We are in escrow and on a tight timeline. I should not have to wait 8-9 business days for a simple letter for a payment that has already cleared my bank and has satisfied the loan payoff requirements.

If my mom made a mistake while trying to use their new covid policy the employee could have patiently and kindly worked to help her. This site has really gone down hill and it's unfortunate.
