CITIBank on the whole though, is a teribble bank, infact, you should consider banking with a Credit Union. Same can be said about many banks out there now a-days... Imagine, I have a few accounts at Citibank and I have $5,000 in one of my account, my interest rate for the month on 5 grand was 4 cents - let me repeat - 4 cents - once again - 4 cents...... that's less than the price of an empty Corona bottle... The banks are investing your money and making millions and you get peanuts in return like an hungry elephant..... Recently my friend went there to open a new account, they promised him $200.00 after 6 months of opening a new account, the 6 months was up, he had to call the 800 number so they can investigate he was promise $200.00 dollars and after they did, they sent POINTS !!!! not money, but POINTS in his account online..... so if you are 60 years old and not good with computers, your days are numbers and your points with decay in ciber-space.... Obvious they don't have any written instructions how to handle a small issue like mail sent to a "DECEASED" X-Customer. So I said have it your way & hung up. Customer service told me they (rep and supervisor) couldn't do anything that I should see someone at the bank. (run around) During my time going to the bank they always tried to get me to enroll in a long term CDs. But when I started taking money out that stopped and my account is being cancelled. Seems they desperately need you money to lend to other folks. Doing research this seems to be happening to a lot of people especially long term users, they are also using AI to replace actual people and the AI may be falsely flagging accounts for cancellation. They also terminated a lot of employees recently. I will never use citibank ever again. They do not value their customer of have any sort of legit customer service. After the car was returned I got a bill for 26,400, the residual value of my car. When I called they told me to ignore it. Now 10 months later I see my credit score dropped 91 points and I look to see that Beth Page without sending me a bill or notice put a $450 collection on my credit report. I called, they said it was the return fee for the Honda and they would take it off my report when I paid it and put in a dispute that a bill was never sent. I paid the $450 and it is still on my credit report. I called and am getting nowhere with the representative telling me they sent me a bill in May, which I never received and also telling me they are not obligated to send another bill. I never heard of such incompetence. After making 39 on time payments, never late with any other bills or payments, I should get the benefit of the doubt. Terrible company. It's no surprise they have a 2.4 star rating. Go somewhere else to finance your vehicle.
