CHASE took $100,000 from us and won't give it back!!
My wife setup an online transfer link to move money from her CHASE personal account to her CHASE business account (an LLC). The CHASE online banking allowed her to initiate a $100,000 transfer. The $100,000 was debited from her personal account. It is now 6 days later and the money NEVER arrived in her business account. The destination account as correct was verified by the local Bank rep and their escalation desk.
We have spent a total of 5 hours in person at a local branch with our local banker trying to find out the status of this transaction. NO ANSWERS! We must file a "Claim" for them to investigate this transaction between 2 accounts, both at CHASE, and WAIT another 7-10 business days for an answer for an OBVIOUS problem CAUSED BY CHASE.
Without question. CHASE has the money - and no one else.
Our demand to escalate simply resulted in being passed back to another department which we already talked to with the local banker. NO ONE at CHASE could be reached to simply verify the transaction and then complete it or cancel it.
As a long established customer passing over $500,000k per year through the bank you'd think the service would be better.
The local agents are customer-friendly, but HELPLESS.
Forget CHASE. Try BMO or another bank that is not playing games with your money. read more
