We moved to Cliffside Park days prior and as expected on this notoriously busy banking day, we found ourselves roamung about several BofA offices to accomplish our long overdue aims for better organizational treasury. As such, and well into the game by then, in an attempt to spur on some sort of momentous hailmary moment, we popped by the blue joint to change thing up. (Thats Chace bank btw.) But, as we sat waiting for an "accounts" savant to take us we noticed a young lady steering all the mondaine business visitors to a large grey box like machine thing doodad that was placed in front of where the tellers desks were. These had been corded as off-limit obviously, and there wasn't a cashiers in sight as this grotesque automated contraption went on conducting the business previously performed by the now superfluous humans that must have been using up too much of the room's oxygen or something... Anyhow, that was enough to convinces us of our own superfluous business. So we super-fluidly skipped our super-flawed humanoid selves out'a there superduper fast. In the end we traveled all the way to Montvale. That's some 20 miles north for those who aren't geographically initiated to the region. In our desperation my wife mentioned her being well taken care of there, so we figured it's worth a visit if we can get this thing done once and for all. Quite to (her) expectations, (my) gratification and (both our) most gracious satisfaction, the Bank of America services there were of the absolute highest order. The staff were extremely courteous throughout. From the gentleman who greeted us to the tellers and other personnel we interacted with, they were kind, informative, reassuring and tons of other pleasant and heart warming adjectives! Granted, our gloomy looks of disheveledment may have hinted at our emotional states of tatteredness ad we arrived. But beleive it or not, just 40 minutes later and all was well again! To crown the by then already uplifting experience, the agent my wife had positively mentioned to me "Glen", was not only soon available but both meeting my hightened expectations of his aforementioned helpfulness but cleanly surpassing them with his above and beyond manner of professionalism! In brief, four thumbs to you all!

They don't have a clue of what they are doing and customer service is a totally foreign concept to them- rude, sloppy...useless. Closed all accounts. Bank of America right up Chestnut Ridge Road is a breath of fresh air. So they put these signs up on the door randomly on a Monday morning. Three employees sitting in their chairs with no customers inside. The bank was NOT closed and you could enter the bank contrary to the sign. When I asked the manager why people are walking away and not coming in he said they are short staffed and the sign clearly indicates that for deposits and withdrawals they want customers to use the drive thru but that the lobby was open. He pointed to the mobile check in sign that has been on the glass since early 2020 as the indicator that the bank was open inside. I'm not sure if he printed the sign himself or even saw it- he actually argued with me and tells me the sign is not confusing and that people should know the lobby is open. He should be fired immediately. Either he is grossly incompetent and didn't even look at the sign I was referring to or he didn't care to work and further more he didn't want to hear me complain so he said "let's get you out of here as quickly as possible". Do NOT ever visit this branch. I have been banking with TD since it was Commerce Bank bank in 90's. How far they have fallen. Stay away.

Prior to going, we asked a bank teller if any documents were required and was told "no, you don't need to bring anything." When we got to the bank, we were told that photo ID was required. Frustrating to get mixed information, but miscommunications can happen; we went home to grab an ID since we live just 5 minutes away. We waited in the bank for about 30 minutes with no one acknowledging our presence. Understandable if the bank was busy, but there were 4 tellers and no customers the time we were waiting. When we asked if one of the tellers can help us, we were told that we had to wait for a specific person to open a CD. When she was available, she told us that we didn't have an appointment and should come back the next day because she wanted to go home early. Our frustration lies in the following: 1. No one told us an appointment was required the in the three trips that were made to the bank. 2. After making us wait close to half an hour, we were told that we couldn't be helped because someone wanted to go home early. We were told this at 4 pm and the bank closes at 5 pm. 3. No one apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged that we had made multiple trips and waited, only to be turned away. We have been loyal Wells Fargo customers for over 35 years and this was the first time we were treated and dismissed as second-class citizens. I am writing this review on behalf of my immigrant parents who are not able to articulate how they felt at this branch. They are remorseful for their frustrated reaction, but they went there with my younger sister to open her first CD (a big milestone for a young kid), but ended up being dismissed and turned away. This branch is an unfortunate example of racism and is represented by a group employees who look down on non-English speaking immigrants. I am disappointed by how poorly this branch treated my parents and sister, and hope that this review will serve as a training and learning opportunity to treat all customers equally. Until then, we will taking my younger sister to a different bank that values all customers, whoever they are and where they come from.
