Terrible Home Loan & Mortgage Experience! I have proudly banked with Chase for the past 7 years with absolutely no complaints. This past year my wife and I decided to purchase a home in Davenport, IA. Having had great banking experience with Chase, we had no doubts whom we would be choosing as our Quad Cities Mortgage Brokers. Our Mortgage lender, Moises, was more then willing to sit with us and discuss our home lending options through Chase Bank. We decided on an FHA Loan. This is where we began have major concerns and issues with Chase's underwriting and processing team as well as Moises. As everyone knows home loans a very complex process with many twists and turns. As tedious of a process as approving a loan maybe, it is the responsibility of your Loan Officer and Loan Processor to maintain a high level of communication between all the parties involved to gather information required by the FHA to approve your loan. It is my personal opinion that the Moline, IL Chase Bank Home Loan division needs to learn the definition of 'Due Diligence'. After days of constantly calling Moises, and Robert, our Loan Processor for updates on our loan status, it became very clear to my wife and I that we were being ill informed in a timely manner about requests from our underwriter. After all was said and done Chase Bank failed to process our loan within the required 60 Day FHA time-line. We learned that our processor had failed to contact my former employers within the 60 day period, and he had not spoken with us at all about this until the bank closed our application. Needles to say there are several other grips I have, but my concern for any other potential Chase home loan applicants, is that they will subject to such neglect. Home buying is a very emotional process, and you would hope that your lender could act with the same sense of urgency as the borrower, but unfortunately in my case, we don't feel we were given the best that Chase has to offer. read more
