ATMs never work at ANY of the MESA Locations. I'm switching banks because I can never deposit or with draw from my account when I need to.

Chase is a good bank, but the branches I go to seem consistently understaffed and it shows in the demeanor of the employees.

However, the agent informed me that in order to activate the card and change the PIN number, I would need to call the number stated on the information paper she provided. It was a bit inconvenient to have to go through this process instead of doing it at the bank, but I accepted it. I rarely use my debit card since I prefer using my credit cards for points and rewards. A few days later, I decided to call the number she had given me, but to my surprise, it did not work. The number appeared to be disconnected. When I attempted to contact their customer service, unfortunately, I received a recorded message that says it was outside of their operating hours, and I was unable to receive any further assistance. I don't have a lot of confidence in a bank that can't even get their phone numbers in order. Due to this frustrating experience, I'm inclined to leave a one-star rating.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Their customer service is THE WORST! Something can come out & I'll make a deposit literally a minute later and they will STILL hit you with a $30 OD fee. We have this account open just for whatever...The bank's location (Stapley & Brown) is close to our house & EVERY. SINGLE. TIME we try to make cash deposits at the drive-thru ATM, it is 8/10 times broken. Then you'll have to drive around & go in for the ATM inside the building & if it's after-hours, you'll have to insert your card to get into the building & ofc THAT doesn't work. This banking institution is greedy, they love over-charging you with fees & we will be closing our accountS (Checking & Savings) soon after I write this review. NEVER BANK HERE!

This institution, which I once trusted with my finances, has revealed itself to be a soulless machine that prioritizes corporate greed and incompetence over the people it claims to serve. Next week, I'm closing every single one of my accounts--not because I want to, but because Wells Fargo's relentless failures have left me no choice. Unlike them, I have the integrity to handle this face-to-face, a concept their spineless leadership clearly doesn't grasp. Let's start with their so-called "customer service," a term I use loosely because it's an utter sham. Most of their support is outsourced to call centers outside the United States, a slap in the face to American customers like me who run U.S.-based businesses and expect domestic accountability. When you finally get through their infuriating phone maze, you're met with representatives who are either clueless or outright dismissive. Case in point: a senior supervisor, who I'll call "JoJo the Monkey" since Wells Fargo refuses to provide last names or employee IDs for accountability, had the audacity to laugh at my legitimate concerns. When I asked if he was an attorney or part of their legal department to justify his pompous lecture about "the law," he cackled again, mocking my frustration. This isn't service--it's a deliberate attempt to belittle and alienate a 40-year customer. The final straw--and the reason I'm done with this pathetic excuse for a bank--is their handling of a $158.07 dispute that reeks of fraud. I reserved a full-sized car through Thrifty Car Rental (unbeknownst to me, now owned by the equally deplorable Hertz) for a critical business trip in Augusta, Georgia. Upon arrival at the airport, a lying, manipulative counter agent claimed there were "no other cars on the lot" and forced me into a compact Nissan Sentra instead of the promised Chevrolet Malibu or similar. This wasn't just a minor inconvenience--it was a bait-and-switch scam, plain and simple, especially egregious given my upcoming knee replacement surgery, which makes compact vehicles physically unbearable. In Augusta, with limited Uber or Lyft options, I had no choice but to accept the subpar vehicle to attend business meetings and scout housing. I needed a car, but I expected and deserved what I paid for. When I disputed this fraudulent charge with Wells Fargo, I expected support from a bank I've trusted for four decades. Instead, I got incompetence and betrayal. JoJo and his band of bumbling colleagues dismissed my claim, insisting it wasn't bait-and-switch or fraud despite it fitting the exact legal definition of both. Their reasoning? I "accepted" the vehicle--ignoring the fact that I was coerced with no viable alternative. To add insult to injury, Wells Fargo demanded the same paperwork four separate times during the dispute process, closing my case prematurely and forcing me to call repeatedly to confirm they even received my documents. This isn't just negligence; it's a deliberate tactic to wear customers down and protect corporate giants like Hertz/Thrifty at the expense of loyal clients. Meanwhile, as Wells Fargo screws over long-time customers like me over a measly $158.07, they have the gall to run ads bribing new business account holders with $400 bonuses. Let that sink in: they'll throw cash at strangers while refusing to stand up for a family they've served for 40 years. It's a disgusting display of misplaced priorities and moral bankruptcy. Their leadership is a masterclass in incompetence, hiding behind anonymous supervisors and refusing to take accountability for their failures. They reward fraudsters like Hertz/Thrifty while punishing the very customers who've kept them afloat for decades. Wells Fargo's entire operation is a disgrace. Their outsourced, unhelpful customer service, their spineless and mocking "leadership," their refusal to fight for customers against clear fraud, and their obsession with profits over people make them unworthy of a single cent. I'm done with this vile institution, and I urge anyone reading this to steer clear. Take your money to a bank that values you--because Wells Fargo certainly doesn't. One star is too generous for this cesspool of a company.
