Someone in chase changed my rewards acct since 2020. They refuse to fix and i have yet to see all my mis routed points and certs

The location is convenient and the people are friendly. They also have automatic tellers (machines) that speed things up.

This is a medium-sized branch in a great location on Nolana and 2nd Street in McAllen. They were…read morepretty busy when I arrived but I was waited on very quickly. I needed to exchange Canadian dollars for American. They do offer a currency exchange services at this branch. However, they require you to have an account with them to do the exchange. I just had the same road block at the Chase bank and the BBVC. IBC only does pesos or euros. However since I have a home mortgage with Wells Fargo they were able to do the transaction for me even without a checking account. The people who waited on me were very friendly and helpful. I just had to ask if an exception could be made for those that have a mortgage account with them. The original answer was no. Apparently they changed their policy about six months ago to require a checking or savings account with them. I can't really comment on their checking or savings accounts, however they were quite helpful when dealing with our mortgage and I have had no complaints over the last 17 years despite some issues they have had as a company a couple of years ago. A benefit to having an account with Wells Fargo is that there are branches and ATMs pretty much everywhere.

I had called in advance to see what I needed to do and was advised I needed to open an account. I came prepared to do that and although no one was at the bank, the wait was well over 30 minutes. I am not sure why it is so tedious to do small things. Also, be prepared to have cash to open an account, which was not explained to me over the phone. Terrible rates as well. Go to Security First.

No one greets you. NOTHING! I had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to even ask me IF I wanted some help. What a waste of my time... Asked to put in a new code...the numbers keys are so used you don't know if you're picking the correct numbers and on top of that it's up side down. Rocio must think everyone has memorized the key pad. I have because I use it at work everyday. But what about other customers. Not a very customer friendly bank. Another customer in the adjoining cubicle, yes, I get to hear their conversation and he gets to here mine. His wife was told to come in to handle his account and the she came and they told her that he needed to come in... I guess I could have gotten more information if I just bothered to listen. But he finally decided to get his own account because his wife remained home. Hit me up if you want more information on other customers.

I thought that even though I am not a bank account holder, surely a bank would want coins regardless of who they come from. Well, I was mistaken! They said I had to be a bank member in order to get my coins switched to bills. Nice! That's the way they treat people. I forgot to mention that they had no customers in line. The bank was empty and there were 4 workers just sitting there doing nothing. I was directed to the bank manager who denied the service and said I had to have an account with them. Even though I was thinking of getting a new bank account, now I definitely will never enter a Lone Star bank ever again. Horrible customer service. Tellers are getting paid to do nothing and turn possible customers away. I hope the bank area manager or share-holders see this post and give them some training on customer service because they will surely lose business this way.

Because the branch in Port Isabel is Auto Only, we visited the walk-in lobby of the S. Padre Island Branch. A teller quickly introduced us to the Manager, who took us to Banker Israel Nunez. What a pleasure to deal with these gentlemen. I explained what I needed, and Israel carefully went over the options for us, helped us pick the options that were best for us, and completed the paperwork to open a checking account with both our names on the account, and a Debit Card for me (my wife and I maintain separate accounts, but I wanted her on my account, just in case...). Israel understood all this, and was a pleasure to work with, as he got things set up, ordered checks for me, got me a Debit Card, etc. He even gave us a bag of goodies with the Lone Star name on them. Finished by bringing us back to the Manager, Martin Infante, for handshakes, and goodbys, and to make sure all our needs were met. They were perfect examples of "Texas friendly" and it was our pleasure to do business with them. Based on our experience, I highly recommend anyone with banking needs to give Lone Star National Bank a try.

Fridays and Mondays, this location has multiple drive thru lanes, but they only open 3? Common…read moresince would say to open all of the lanes on the two most busy days and to have enough tellers to get the customers through in a timely manner. I spent 55 minutes in line, very frustrating. When you look in the drive thru window, you can see the tellers just talking and laughing, I am not sure what they are laughing at but it did not help me or the other 40 people in their cars waiting for an hour. This is not a one time event, it happens every Friday and Monday.

Close to the border and I suddenly receive a letter from Wells Fargo which states I have 1 month to close my account with them or they would close it for us automatically!! Supposedly it was a business decision and WE POSED A RISK TO WELLS FARGO!!!! Please what risk at least give me a chance to prove to you what business I own (electrical contractor) by the way. Also unfortunately my girls suffered the consequences for having teen accounts with me. They also received a letter to close their accounts, pffft teenagers (what risk can they pose)? No one from Wells Fargo could give me a clear explanation as to what risk we posed!! PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WHERE!! It's such an inconvenience to have to move all your scheduled payments, savings, checking and 401K to another bank!! So disappointed!!!
