When I moved to St. Petersburg, I was looking for a bank that felt more local. After I doing some research on both banks and credit unions nearby I received a mailer from Fifth Third offering a cash-back promotion for new accounts, which piqued my interest. I opened an account with the help of Gillian Silbert, at their 4th Street branch shortly after it opened. The branch is super cute and feels more like a cozy coffee shop than a traditional bank. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they even make coffee while you wait! With a drive-thru ATM at this branch and multiple nearby locations, it's easy to access my banking needs. I appreciate that they don't charge any unusual fees, which was a relief compared to national chains. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience at this branch and would highly recommend it for its service, atmosphere, and convenience! Gillian Silbert was a delight, as are the others who work at this branch.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE NORTHEAST PARK LOCATION on 4TH ST N, which isn't showing on Yelp !!! I have…read morebeen a very satisfied long-time customer, both here and Illinois, but just experienced a one-of-a-kind disastrous and inexcusable and unforgiveable experience, that caused me much pain and suffering during the holiday travel season, and all because of the branch manager, and her, in my opinion, incompetence and unwillingness to take accountability and responsibility for her mistakes. And to top it off she, doesn't honor appointments or communication and follow through. The specific details are not important in this review, but I would caution any and all that deal with this institution, and their management in particular, to LET THE BUYER BEWARE, because you cannot trust what they are telling you, especially in person. I am a retired professional, who has had nothing but success with 5th3rd, but never again, thanks to the way I was mistreated and mislead throughout the ordeal ! Make sure you do your due diligence before deciding if this is the place for you !

When she got back she went to the bank and picked up the check to send to Toyota Financial. Then she saw her due date is in 10 days. She called NFCU and the man said he would extend the date out one month. A few days later her due date on the loan never changed and when she called back she got nothing short of absolutely total rudeness and they said you signed the contract, and if you dont like it then you can withdraw the loan and go through the application process again just to have the due date one month from today. I did my loan through PenFed. Much better service. I asked to have my first payment pushed out a week because my car was being delivered to me and they extended it an additional 4 weeks in less than a minute. The choice is clear who im doing business with from now on, Yes to PenFed, heck no to NFCU.

I needed a cashiers check generated and after I was told to swipe my debit card he didn't say anything. After a good amount of time passed I asked him if he was waiting on something from me. His response was that he was waiting for me to count the money I was depositing. At that point I felt like I had to take charge of the transaction and lead him. I handed him the cash, asked if he still needed my license or could I put it away. ‍ Additionally every time I visit this branch there is a stench in/outside that smells like a sewer. Lastly, when I went to my car I realized I was parked next to a vehicle in which two young children were climbing in/out of an SUV while the adults they were with were preoccupied at the ATM. Initially I thought the adults weren't aware of what the kids were doing however that theory was quickly debunked. The kids were running back/forth between the SUV and the ATM. So to avoid possibly accident hitting the kids with my vehicle I ended up waiting until they left before I could leave also.

I think they are officially worse THAN Bank of America. Will definitely be closing my account with them. Imagine a banker who can't count money and accuses customers of stealing. They didn't say they changed their minds, They had no reason whatsoever. They simply handed me a receipt with a 7 business day hold on the majority of the amount of the check. I was livid. I spoke with Debbie Moore, the manager, and again I received rave reviews of my money practices and behavior. She wanted to work with me. She offered to take me to lunch. There was nothing to work with and I did not need lunch. All I needed was what I had for the seven recent years. What changed? Her answer was that nothing changed. Screw me then try to tell me I imagined it. Accounts closed and moved.
