Many years lager we attempted again on a recommendation, again, not a good turn out for the service. For an institution that supports the military and its vets, it's obviously only for those with 750 credit or better. So, no car loan, tho we did get one with a batter rate and one of our other banks. The main issue I have here, is each location is almost a replica of the other in design and concept. For some reason, these get more foot traffic than any other bank I've had in my 40 plus years of banking and investing. They can have 8 people in line, and there are still, no matter what the location, only 3 tellers. And all sorts of business gets transacted at the teller, so waiting 10 minutes per person is not uncommon. It's actually ridiculously common. I'm better served depositing elsewhere than doing a wire transfer when needed. There is no drive up window, so waiting in the comfort of your vehicle is not a choice. I will say the staff is usually very nice and kind, that's the only plus. The benefits can be had at other military banks without the long wait lines, hassles for folks establishing in credit, and better interest rates.

I immediately felt seen, heard, and genuinely valued--not just as a customer, but as a human being. Alyssa has this natural ability to connect with people in a way that's rare and beautiful. She's incredibly knowledgeable, super attentive, and her enthusiasm is infectious! She took the time to explain every little detail with clarity and patience, and she did it all with the brightest smile and the most positive attitude. You can tell she truly LOVES what she does--and it shows in every interaction. Her level of compassion and professionalism is unmatched. Ramon--what can I say? This man is a powerhouse of efficiency and excellence. Not only was he incredibly helpful and responsive, but he also went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly and stress-free. He has this calming presence and a can-do spirit that made me feel like I was in the best hands possible. Every question I had? Answered. Every concern? Resolved. Every detail? Handled with care and precision. A true gem of a person! Together, Alyssa and Ramon are the kind of team that makes you believe in great customer service again. They create an environment where people feel respected, uplifted, and genuinely taken care of. Their kindness is real, their professionalism is stellar, and their ability to turn a simple transaction into a memorable experience is truly phenomenal. If you're lucky enough to work with Alyssa and Ramon--trust me, you're in the BEST hands. I walked away feeling happier, lighter, and so deeply appreciative of their time, energy, and hearts. People like this are rare, and they deserve to be recognized LOUDLY. THANK YOU, Alyssa and Ramon! You two are absolute stars, and I'm forever grateful.

To make things worse, the branch manager Peggy was absolutely rude to me and my wife when we inquired about our problems. ZERO customer service and failure to fullfil promises is my two cents on this place

As soon as I walked up to the counter I'm greeted by a rude teller aggressively chewing her gum and you could tell had no desire to be at work. She pulls my information and then suddenly tells me I'm unable to withdraw at their branch DESPITE having withdrawn SEVERAL time before because of some "new policy" stating regardless of my recent address change I HAVE to have it match. I politely informed her that I have made these withdrawal before in the past with no issues. Especially considering I've verified all information necessary. After going back and forth with her I asked for a supervisor with whom she had prior explained the situation to. Her supervisor proceeds to come to the desk clearly uninterested in assisting and acts as if she had no clue what was going on and claims this "policy" is a NEW internal policy they have chosen to adopt. After asking for where this policy is written she suddenly reveals a document that shows this alleged "NEW" policy is one they haven't followed AT ALL since FEBRUARY of 2024. So now it makes me believe you PICK AND CHOOSE who you want to enforce this with. Unfortunately the black man with his kids just so happened to be the unfortunate choice today. So I was forced to change my address with my credit union to comply with this "policy" just to make a withdrawal to please some power driven unhappy teller..NEVER AGAIN

I was assisted right away and was offered condolences by Kendrea. She was sensitive and had a lot of empathy for someone like myself who is grieving. Kendrea was helping me with a private matter and it was handled in the lobby? I really didn't feel comfortable but, it looks like she didn't have her own office. What can you do? Maybe, it's because, they are in the process of remodeling. I worked with Juana and she was really nice, personable, hospitalable and understanding. She was very organized with the paperwork and was working on closing some accounts the night before but, she had to wait on the San Antonio office to send the paperwork and they opened at 9:00 am and that was our appointment time. So, it took two and a half hours to get two accounts closed. It's a really cute building. I really don't see why they need to renovate. But, so far it looks good. The Bathroom was clean. It's one large family restroom with two commodes so, lock the door behind you. Overall, the staff is really nice and dress casual. Another Service member offered us water and more seating. Customers that entered the lobby dressed casual too. United Texas Credit Union offers a high interest rate as well. I would definitely recommend this Credit Union. It's a well maintained facility with nice people and offers a high interest rate on certain accounts.

I have had an HSBC account now for about 4 years. It is the worst bank I have ever had to deal with…read morein my 45 years of having a bank account. When I first opened an account, they wouldn't take automatic deposit from me for over 5K, even though they only had 2 branches in SF. Then once that fiasco was straightened out, they constantly declined charges on my debit card for alleged "fraud and security purposes." After repeatedly explaining that the FDIC insured my account for up to 250K and that my balance was hefty, but nowhere near that amount, so any protection was for HSBC not me, the decline problem tapered off. Then this Fall it took me 3 hours on the phone to wire money from my HSBC account to another account. Multiple phone calls with numerous people that day. Finally, my husband had to physically go in to their SF branch to get the wire completed. Insane. Now, today, I got notice that an automatic payment tied to my debit card had been denied. And, rightly so, I had recently gotten a new debit card due to suspicious activity on my old card. I went in to pay the payment. I entered in my debit card information. Denied. I re-entered thinking I must have made an error. Denied. I call "Premier Customer Service." I am told that my charges were denied because I had exceeded my daily limit for expenditures on the card which was $5K. I explained that I had only made one purchase on the card today for substantially less than the alleged $5K limit. No explanation. Just continued jerking around by a bank that could give two hoots about an individual depositor without millions in assets in their institution. I will be closing my account. I have had it. I will be looking for nice small, locally owned bank where my business matters and some customer service rep doesn't read from a prepared script and has no ability to answer my questions or solve my problems.
