It looks like many people report problems at this branch. My experience is consistently different. The most convenient branch to us is up on Foothill, but every time we enter that branch they seek to harass and annoy us by blocking any transaction for one reason or another. -- Anyway, my wife ended up at this Indian Hill branch late yesterday, after being chewed up and spit out by the folks at 805 W. Foothill. The teller at the Indian Hill branch smiled and greeted her. Everything "wrong" at Foothill was not a problem at this branch. The gentleman at the teller window knew exactly how to fulfill a simple task. It was done in under a minute. -- I think JPMC will soon be forced to deploy AI-tellers. I have four accounts with them and I am seriously considering moving them away. It seems that depriving them of revenue and telling the story on Yelp is our only recourse. read more

Some reviewers commented on the overall lack of proper customer service and I agree (as does the customer before me who said "Ugh, this is useless. We are going to Wells Fargo instead."). The teller I went to was so unfriendly that it seemed like she only spoke in sentences that ended in periods. "Do you have your card. I need your card to withdraw. In what dominations do you want the cash." She got the job done (well, mostly; I got intimidated and did not have the guts to ask for crisp bills) but I would not recommend this place to newbies as some of the things she said were incorrect. (She told me I needed my Chase card to deposit or withdraw.) Some things to know: - You can withdraw without your Chase card as long as you have an official form of ID (i.e. license, CA ID) - You can deposit without your Chase card or official form of ID as long as you have your Chase account number I suggest you come prepared knowing exactly what you want so you can get out of there really quickly. Environment looked clean, though, and no squatters in the general area (unlike some places in LA). read more

I had great service at this location when it was a Washington Mutual and I am receiving even better service now that it has become Chase. The iPhone quick deposit feature is extremely efficient and convenient. My checks are deposited and confirmed within 30 minutes of uploading from my iPhone as long as I do it before 6:00 p.m. PST. read more

We walked in for some information regarding our personal banking, and decided to speak to their advisors here. Person who greeted us had absolutely no customer service. Walked up and said "yes?" We let him know we had a few questions and decided to have us have full on conversation by the banks front door? I think that's very unprofessional, that's why they step people to the side. Then he continued on having a know it all attitude with us and acting like he didn't know what we were asking nor did he try to. He we persistent with pushing us away since it was a few minutes away from noon. Probably his lunch break who knows. But at that point they should let us speak to someone else or tell us to make an appointment. He literally went back to his little glass office and was texting on his phone. No help at all from this branch, and will gladly be switching banks. I think customer service is really important. Especially with peoples banking needs. read more

Walked in to ask questions about opening up a auto loan with chase . So we sign in and seat down then a lady comes up and asks us what's the reason for the visits today . We told her we had questions for an auto loan and she reply's with " we don't do that here this is not a dmv or something " and then she tells us to wait for a banker a few mins pass by she comes back with " sorry I talked to the banker and they told me we don't do that here". I've generally always had great service at chase bank. The branches in Claremont was very helpful when I first set up my acct. and through the COVID-19 pandemic. Today I had a technical issue and called the branch on indian hill. I spoke with a teller or banker, I assume, about a technical issue I was having. Amanda was attentive, polite, and let me know the expectations for the next steps. I will continue to bank here. Side note: once I was visiting the foothill branch and there was an employee birthday. The manager had cake and everyone, including the clients in line, sing happy birthday. Afterward, the manager proceeded to hand all the clients in line reusable grocery bags. Chase Bank Claremont Village is terrible... they enable fraud. It's an inside job! They haven't answered their telephone in weeks. When confronted with fraud look at you like you're stupid and close your accounts. Never bank with Chase... they are about protecting the criminals and screwing the consumer! I love this location their vault is in view from the lobby, it's from the early 1900s, and if you ask to see it an associate will escort you in the room. It is absolutely stunning and it's still in use to this day!! The employees are always so kind and helpful. I forgot the gentleman's name who helped me but he was awesome, very kind and knowledgeable. There's plenty of parking located in beautiful Claremont right next to a bunch of cute shops, dining and the college. There's no drive thru (that I'm aware of) but it's worth the walk inside. read more

Have complain not particularly to this brunch but to overall chase. When opened account teller said we can waive sees for you especially wire fee just give us a call. I opened business and personal account . And now when I got incoming wire fee $15 I been told that there is no way they can wire fee ! Talked to customer service supervisor Josephine Domingo from Philippines and she refused to honor the words of the tellers who said that fee will be waived . And it's a first fee for over a year ! Tonight's special quest whatever: Nellie. When you happen upon her you will note the fifteen year service pin. This is perhaps the most inexplicable and disconcerting thing about her visage. How someone so categorically dispossessed of any empathy or warmth could ever have the word "service" associated with her is beyond me; that she has apparently done so for fifteen illustrious years renders it a goddamn mystery. Come to her window and it's whoa, Nellie, indeed, as she will protract the proceedings with the retaliatory wait time of a TSA agent (I can only thank God for the intervening ballistic glass. Brrrr...). Best bring your favorite game app with ya. I played as many as three games of Sudoku while waiting for her. Hard level, too. During a recent transaction I had difficulty locating my bank card and she asked for another form of id. I hurriedly pulled a CDL from my billfold, not so much in accordance with her demand but in deference to others waiting in line. She then said that she couldn't accept it as it was expired. Come again? She'd just waited on me - or, I should say, I'd just waited...and waited...and waited for her - a few days before. She knew who I was and this was only to exchange coins for currency (!) (most irksome was her alternately dismissive/hostile air). Nonetheless, I'd just received my newest CDL in the mail courtesy of our DMV and found it and presented said evidence of my id to her. Because that's the kind of guy I am. Ten agonizing minutes later my business was done. Fortunately, there are other tellers. And with one exception - more on him probably later - they are at least patient, respectful, and conduct their business with a minimum of commentary. Ergo, a generously administered two stars to this particular branch of a bank that has served me better elsewhere (face it, if you condone the type of teller behavior that one finds in Nellie, you don't deserve better - and probably warrant less). Veronica Martinez was wonderful. I went into the bank to open a trust account and was unsure how it would go. It was the first time for me. Ms Martinez was very knowledgeable and helped me through the process. I came away with a smile on my face and confidence in setting up a checking account and savings account for the trust. Ms Martinez was patient with me and took her time in explaining the financial situation in setting up a trust account. Ms Martinez was also knowledgeable in physical fitness training and is an inspiration.... I like this branch. There maybe only one teller working at the time but there is either no one in line or just one person. When the line gets longer, more tellers go to work. By far the worst branch. If you want to spend your entire day waiting then this is the place. I also didn't like how the girl that opened my account was getting too much into my personal business. She asked how I acquired so much money. Not in a helping to ensure I invest it, but in a nosey way. I have checking, credit card and home equity loan with them, but no, they won't notarize two pages for me. Lousy service for a long-time customer. If I could, I'd give this place zero stars. This bank used to be great; it was conveniently located and had good service. But ever since this place changed managers it has gone downhill very quickly. The manager is rude and refuses checks that don't have our business's name written down to the T. I've never faced this kind of nitpicky-ness at this bank until the new manager showed up and I find it absolutely horrible. This bank used to be great... The last several times I have gone in have been awful and no one there seems to care. The turn over is high so don't get attached to any teller because they will not be there on your next visit. The teller who didn't help me today was awful, I guess I shouldn't let her lack of customer service bother me though as she probably will not be there next time. I have banked with chase for 5/6 years. I usually go to this branch because it is close and convenient. Today I had an issue with something and I had gone in and was not in a very good mood!! Had difficult time with transactions because my business name was abbreviated they asked me to go back to the customer and write out the whole business name. Good luck driving all the way back down to Torrance for a $65 check. The nit picky Ness of a very clearly written check to my business and the difficulty they give loyal customers is appalling. I just went and had to deposit it into the ATM which I think is their whole concept they don't want you to deal with personal people they want you to just deal with machines I truly believe that's the reason for their nitpicking us to frustrate you so much you don't want to deal with bankers. iwill not return to this branch for sure and weighing my options of changing banks altogether read more
