For many years I've had a love-hate relationship with Chase. Mostly because of the telephone banking support that isn't always very supportive. Again today had that experience and was told that to manage account ownership I'd have to go to a branch. That's fine but it took 3 phone calls and a lot of questions before they told me that. So I went to the Chatsworth branch, one I've never been to before but had a feeling had to be better than the branch I typically go to, or to be more accurate... typically try to avoid going to. From the initial greeting by the security guard to the teller, who understood my need and situation, to the banker who competently completed the banking actions... this was a rather pleasant experience. I have a new and updated feeling about banking with Chase. read more

I will not recommend this Chase branch, very poor costumer service!!! I just tried to cash out check from my employer, who is a Chase loyal costumer for years! Check was on my name,I gave them my DL and additional IDs they asked for, and they rejected it, made me wait like 30 minutes , passing me in between windows and made me feel like a criminal. Fist guy at the window lied to me that his system is down and sent me to another window where 2 ladies looked at me suspiciously for like 20 min , and after they just stamped my check and told me that they cant verify it, are you serious? I live in Chatsworth all my life, it's my neighborhood, my husband have account with Chase like 20 years. If you don't want to be humiliated like I did just now, go to another branch, coz this people don't appreciate your business!!!! read more

Chase Bank has got to be the one bank that has the worst customer service that I've banked with. Even though I don't care for Bank of America's service, I was shocked to find another major bank that have even worse service. This bank charges a fee for everything. Their CD rate is not that great. Their mobile app is the worst. You can't do much in it. Want to change the term of your matured CD? You have to go into the bank or call customer service. Want to change your ATM pin? You have to go into the bank. I've had to call customer service a few time when my CD matured. I wanted to change the matured CD frim 9 months to 12 months and the rep did not understand what I needed(call center probably in India) . The other time I called for something else and the rep ended the call with, 'Have great weekend' and proceeded to just hang up. Well, it was a Tuesday. Today, I went in to close all my accounts because I just can't deal with the above mentioned inefficiency. The entire time I heard an older gentleman on the phone with Chase's customer service telling the different reps that he was speaking to that he had come into the branch earlier this week with his very ill wife to add him onto her account. Apparently, the bank lost the paperwork. He needed to transfer $400 to the checking and withdraw $200. He was getting nowhere on the phone and no one at the branch even tried helping. It was so, so sad. Avoid this bank. Go somewhere else. It's not worth it. read more

I usually visit this branch a few times a month to get change and cash checks for my retail store. Normally, at other banks, whenever I ask for change in multiple denominations I get an annoyed look, but this branch is the exception. The whole experience is pleasant from the friendly security guard who greets and opens the door for you, to the awesome tellers who really seem to enjoy being there. Everyone always has a smile on their face! I don't have Chase personally, as I am more of a credit union person, but I am considering making an exception to my rule! read more

One of the worst chase branches. Every time I go in to cash my work check with my business account they either cash it quickly or say they can't and end up doing it anyway after the supervisor realizes it's good to go. Today I was completely denied cashing it and was told by the teller that "whoever did it shouldn't have and they probably didn't notice." So you're telling me the 8-10 time they did it was a mistake? Mind you that teller had cashed it before. Incompetent staff. Save your time and go to the Plummer location. read more

Wow, I have never been treated so horribly at a chase bank...I had been waiting for nearly 30 minutes for a personal banker to assist me with some questions, I was never greeted and everyone there looked like they were having a bad day. Another gentleman walked in and he immediately assisted him, I very respectfully approached the banker and told him that I had been waiting for quite some time now and that I could have been possibly skipped, he then, very rudely replied "he's a private client of mine, exit my office" I was almost in shock at his response. November 7, 2019 To whom it might concern: On October 26, 2019 Chase bank received a Conservatorship inquiry about my mother in laws accounts at Chase bank in Chatsworth CA 91311. All the courts were asking about was the signers and balance on the accounts. Chase bank immediately put a hold on all assists of my mother in laws account on October 28, 2019. Mrs. Anderson has no money to live off!!! Chase bank has a hold her social security money she uses for her care takers and bills. Chase bank had no court order to do this!!! Chase bank says it's there policy to put a hold on any account that has Conservatorship inquires. This is outrageous!!!! My name is Mr. Lyons, I am the son-law of Mrs. Anderson, and I have been a joint signer on the Anderson's account for 3- 5 years. I do all the financials for the Andersons. My wife and I applied for Conservatorship of Mrs. Anderson to take care of since her husband passed and she now lives with us. We have called Chase bank and they will not give us any information regarding their Conservatorship department. We spoke with a client services rep named Joe Galvez and had our lawyer speak with the Chase also. Joe Galvez was very uncooperative and would not give us any information regarding the hold on Mrs. Anderson's account. Chase is being very uncooperative. Now, we have go to court and get a court order to have Chase release her accounts. How can a Chase bank put a hold on this account without telling the members, and denying Mrs. Anderson's social security funds without a court order???? It's clean and almost never busy. The line is hardly ever beyond 3 to 5 people. I came in to do a wire transfer and the person I worked with, Samira was helpful and polite. There are 3 ATMs outside which is a big plus, so no waiting out there either. Honestly, not sure why all the negative reviews. I think it's a great branch. read more

Save yourself headache bypass Chase go straight to a different bank they are so unprofessional especially customer service and claims department you'll be lucky to Speak to someone without hanging up on you call failed call about 3 to 4 times. I had gone there to get some bank statements and she was real polite and she even looked genuinely nice. I have been banking at chase since it was called Washington mutual and i only had great customer service at maybe one chase at newhall california......and the customer service at this place at mason and devonshire was really awsome. The staff at this location is superb! They all know me by name and compliment me all the time. The tellers and I converse about active life, night life, what we're going to do this weekend, good local places to eat, my new hair styles, you name it! Very cool, down to earth staff. Even the new manager is cool! Would be 5 stars if I wasn't planning on leaving Chase... as of February they will start charging $25 per month to have an account with them UNLESS you have direct deposit or $5,000 in your account on a daily basis. This is my branch!! And not only because it is conveniently located close to work, but because everyone here are just so bloody nice and super helpful! From the tellers, to the personal bankers, they are all willing to help out and go the extra mile for me.. To the manager of this branch: I've never experienced such impeccable customer service before meeting with your Private Client Banker, Terrah Vazquez. I walked in for a small issue in regards to a lost money order I've made at a branch in Santa Monica. She took an extra step in terms of getting everything she needed to find a proper solution! We ended up solving the issue and I had a couple questions in regards to financing. I'm relatively new to financing. All because I've decided to finally take on an Adult role, and become more responsible and vigilant in terms of my financing. Terrah, was absolutely knowledgeable, not only with her profession, but with real life situations that budgeting can help with. I sat in that chair for nearly an hour taking Budgeting 101 from Terrah. Not only was there a line and only one teller assisting (as others were in their cubicle) but to receive such poor service? Came here to order new checks as well as update our mailing address and had a wonderful experience. An employee saw my wife and I waiting in line, asked if she could be of service, and when we said what we needed, she immediately took us to her desk and helped us out with everything. I previously had a 'not so good' review for Chase on Yelp based on an experience where one of the handlers at a couple of branches were somewhat brash and dismissive, but after the last few exchanges, I had to assume a) those employees are no longer there and b) maybe the dismissive branch was having a rough day. In the last few transactions, Chase has been incredibly helpful - especially to me being a freelance artist and tutor that depends on clients for a salary. They were understanding, patient and anytime I came with a problem or needed financial information or assistance with my checking account, savings or any transactions, they were more than eager to help. Sometimes it's easy to forget that if a corporation may treat you one way, there are those who work for them who are still human beings who do the nine to five just like anybody else in this hard economy... and I greatly appreciate their help and understanding. read more

I deposited a business check from my business on 12/20/18. I left for vacation on 12/23/18 to Thailand. When I got back I received a call from my landlord that my rent check had bounced. It seems that Chase had put a 14 day hold on my deposit even though my bank (B of A) had paid the check on the same day (12/20/18). It cost me an additional $128 for late fees. After many calls, I was told there was nothing they could do. The supervisor, Paul, was actually a little arrogant in his attitude. They take no responsibility. With today's technology, you would think that a 14 day hold would be a little ridiculous. Well, I am now closing all of my accounts, IRA, stocks and bonds and they can go.....well, I won't be that crude. But Chase has terrible business practices and even worse customer service. Well I don't get complimented on all the time like Kat (or even once, but I guess that's what happens when you are ugly), but the staff is friendly and even if there is a line, they move quickly. Plenty of parking as well especially behind the bank which is always empty. One guy though was a bit pushy to me. He wasn't a teller, but someone at one of the desks. This was maybe a year ago. My aunt, who is 80, has an account at this branch. I know she must be very high maintenance for them, and she doesn't even have a big balance. The bank staff knows her by name. The staff is so incredibly kind and helpful. If they are so good to someone like her, they must be great to everyone. If I lived in Chatsworth, this is where I would have my account!! read more
