In early October, I received a letter indicating that VNB would be upgrading its systems, including those related to mortgage servicing. They changed the format of the monthly invoice for my mortgage (for the better). I received the invoice one day before it was due. This is not my complaint. Due to the modification, my quarterly property taxes, which would have been paid from escrow near the end of October, were never dispersed. After calling their service desk I found out that they are *manually* processing payments. It is now Oct 18 has I have received a notice from my town that I am delinquent. I am trying to work this out with VNB currently to ensure my credit rating is not damaged. Note to VNB's IT department: 1. Test your changes prior to releasing it. 2. Don't make a major change two weeks before property taxes are due. Sigh

Upon walking in I was greeted immediately with friendly faces. The assistant manager Maureen came out immediately and introduces herself and asked what brought us in to Northfield , once I explained she and invited me into her office right away. She explained all types of accounts to me and all of their services. I am no familiar with a lot of banking information so to me this was extremely useful. Everything was explained in a simple manner that it didn't feel like she was just trying to up sell me like people at previous banks have made me feel. Once I figure out a few house keeping things I will most definitely be going to see Maureen and the rest of the friendly staff at this location. AND THE BEST PART WAS, there was hardly any wait at all. What a score these days when it comes to visiting banks I usually expect a headache by the time I leave however this experience was fantastic. I will be recommending Northfield bank to my friends! It is nice to know you can still get such great customer service in the crazy world we live in.

The bank is disguised as a house on the outside but the staff really make you feel like family so having the bank in this house is highly appropriate. This branch has a drive-in ATM, and late hours on Thursdays! Ample parking space too for drivers!

4 stars because…read more.. Spoke on the phone the other day to Dawn at this location. Since moving to the area recently and being a customer of Provident Bank already, found that it was easier this way to open my bank account. Today, all that was needed was my drivers license by Maria this morning. After a few clicks on her computer lasting about 15 or so minutes I was good to go. All it took was my electronic signature and out the door. As mentioned before they have a pretty friendly staff. As the tellers said when leaving, thanks to staying with us after all these years. This is a pretty small branch building. That has one ATM lane and two drive through lanes on the side. Easy and painless banking.
