My parents and I have been going to Dr. Cha for over a decade, and he is sincerely the most kind-hearted, thoughtful, and professional practitioner we have met. I have been to numerous well-known acupuncturists in LA and OC due to my list of chronic pain issues (pelvic fracture, plantar fasciitis, herniated discs, migraines, and carpal tunnel), but no one treated me better than Dr. Cha with his attention to detail, professionalism, and wealth of knowledge in oriental medicine. Whenever I feel off, I always make appointments with Dr. Cha for acupuncture and cupping sessions. I personally don't like to make referrals since everyone's condition and symptoms are so different, but I recently referred my boyfriend to Dr. Cha who was suffering a back/shoulder injury. His treatment is extremely painful compared to others, I even went back to give him a second chance Incase he was off his game. He ended up severely injuring me. I had issues with my neck so I decided to visit Dr. Cha. It was easy making an appointment and he was kind enough to accommodate my schedule after work. The place was very clean and obviously this guy knows what he's doing. I've been to many acupuncture places and this place is the best so far. Dr. Cha was very friendly explaining about my issues with neck problem as well as giving me other helpful tips. There are many acupuncture places in La Crescenta but don't waste your time or money and just come here. I didn't have insurance but looks like it also takes most of insurance plans too. Dr. Cha is incredibly awesome! The absolute BEST! I am so grateful we found him. He truly is very kind-hearted and sweet-natured, and really listens very intently to everything you tell him about your condition or any issues you are having. He is the only Doctor I've ever met that genuinely and sincerely cares about his patients, and we would never consider going to anyone else. I really love that Dr. Cha is both a Doctor of Acupuncture and also Oriental Medicine, and he has been treating my 85 years-young Grandmother for over 2 years now for the arthritis in her shoulder and he has really worked wonders for her! Before starting acupuncture, she had a tremendous amount of pain and very limited movement. Her regular Doctor even recommended she have a joint replacement, (which she decided not to do). But now after having had acupuncture treatments once a week with Dr. Cha, she has had an enormous reduction in her pain and now has a wider range of motion, which is just amazing! I really love that Dr. Cha takes a fully wholistic approach to his healing practice and understands that health is not just about focusing on the condition of your physical body -- but that in order to be truly healthy, you also have to take into consideration your emotional and mental mind-set. I came here after hurting my back over the weekend, and Dr. Cha was quick to address my discomfort and was very accommodating towards my needs. After three sessions with him in one week, I have seen a lot of improvement in my back. When I first came to him, I was barely able to walk and move. Now, after only my third session, I am experiencing a tremendous amount of improvement in the healing process. Dr. Cha was very specific about his plan to help me recover, and would always ask me if I am uncomfortable in any way. His clinic is located in the corner of a plaza. I have been going to Dr. Cha for the past four months for a frozen shoulder. This is a deeply difficult condition to treat. The average time from onset to resolution of the condition is usually about 2 1/2 years. I was already into my 8th excruciating month when I first started seeing him. I was seriously desperate but did not want to treat it with surgery, cortisone or drugs. Before I saw him, I was getting deep massage, taking natural anti-inflammatories, supplements, heat, trigger point therapy, etc. When I first starting going to him, my night pain was so severe, I couldn't sleep. I was like the walking dead. He treated me with acupuncture, cupping, moxa and herbs. After about a month - seeing him a little over once a week, I was finally able to start sleeping at night again. I am beginning to get more mobility in my shoulder - but the most important thing is that I'm no longer in constant pain and can sleep! My shoulder doesn't even really bother me anymore. Hallelujah! Dr. Cha is not simply an acupuncturist - he is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. He has a PhD. And, frankly, he doesn't charge enough for his services. $40 per treatment? What? Plus you can buy a package and it will only be $35 a treatment? He also takes insurance which can make it even less expensive for those whose policy covers it. Moxa, cupping and herbs cost extra, but his prices are extremely low on these services. He has only been in business for a bit over a year so I'm sure he is keeping his prices discounted to get his business kick-started. I really love this guy and want him to make it - so if you want a great acupuncturist you can afford (at least for now!) - he's the man! He is one of the kindest, most sincere people I've ever met - so gentle and takes a great deal of time with you in the office. Not only does he treat you, but during off-hours, he thinks about your case, does research, prays for you and generally wishes for your well-being. He is a treasure, people. I've always been a skeptic when it comes to alternative healing, so I wasn't to excited to try out accupunture. After seeing a regular doctor about my plantar fasciitis and hearing that a possible surgery was needed to reduce my pain thought I would try something new. So I went to Dr. CHA located in La Crescenta. Made a appointment a few days in advance and confirmed with him that they accept my insurance (Blue Shield) and they did. Went for my appointment and sat down and did my pulse checked out my hands and looked at my tongue. I thought it was a bit unusual but was surprised at what he said next. He knew that I had acid reflux issues and immediately confirmed that my body was stressed out and knew I only slept about 5 hrs a night. Told him about my foot and he took me to a private room and put the needles in them along with some on my hand. Immediately after my 1st session my foot felt better and my overall feeling about myself improved. I've since gone to him many more times and done dry cupping and felt like a million bucks too.
