I called a few places for Car Lockout service and this was the only one that seemed well organized and confident on the phone. They told me how long I'd have to wait, and it was correct, which was great. The technician arrived in a clean truck, introduced himself and went to work quickly. I was really scared he was going to harm the door or window seals since my vehicle is young but he was really careful and explained what he was doing as he worked. A few minutes later the door was unlocked, and there wasn't a mark on it anywhere. He also tested the electronic locks and alarm system to make sure they were working before leaving. No surprises later that were problematic, like pricing. That was what I was quoted over the phone. Loved how calm and professional the whole encounter felt. Stuck in a parking lot is stressful enough, and having someone arrive up with a positive attitude and true experience made a great difference. I would use them again for roadside assistance or towing service, for sure.

The shop manager told me that even though I would be paying the same hourly rate as other smaller jobs, he did not want to have his staff do it because it was too hard. He said that he would rather do a bunch of smaller jobs such as brakes and oil changes than one large larger job even though the pay would be the same. This doesn't make any sense to me at all. He indicated that he was too poorly staffed, lacking Talent to complete larger jobs. The manager was engaging and was polite, but at the same time, dogmatic and insulting to a degree. Not recommended, keep on looking for a shop that is not afraid of your car. I wouldn't be surprised if they come on here and try to turn this around and state some positive things about their business in an effort to use it as free, marketing or advertising, but, enter at your own risk. Or! The good folks of M & T Auto Body could work their magic. Located just a few paces south of Hinckley's Financial District, M & T is one of those bedrock local places, one of the stronger threads in the fabric of their community. That love of place is reflected in their consistent high quality of work. My first experience was with a work van that was starting to look like a science fair project: "The Ravages of Road Salt." They got it looking shiny and new in no time for about half what I was quoted elsewhere. Just last week, I was able to have them replace a rather tricky system on a German engine with mileage nearly equal to a round-trip to the Moon. Did they run away, screaming? Did they laugh and point? Did they quote me four times the actual cost of the repairs, as another shop did? Naah. They did the job. Hats off to John and the lads of M & T Auto Body. I'm pretty sure they didn't even laugh when I rode my bicycle over to pick up the truck. At least until I was gone.
