Zero stars!!! None! Spent days going back and forth with the dealership via email. Very explicit about needing a third row seat. I was assured that it had a third row. Drove 2 hours on Halloween, missing trick or treat with my grandchildren because this was my only opportunity to get the vehicle. get to dealership and the vehicle doesn't have a third row!!! No offer to compensate our gas, no offer of a good deal on a vehicle... just sorry. 5 hours of my life for nothing and no accountability!!! read more

Went to Charlie's on 1/29 for oil change tire rotation and wheel balance they did great with that everyone was nice done quickly. On the bottom of work order it says wash vehicle yes or no so I thought that would be great wash my vehicle so I checked Yes no one said anything got vehicle back not washed. So I get home and they send survey in email wanting you to tell them how they did! So I simply stated about the car wash part not being washed and they should not offer it if it's something they are not going to do! Fast forward to Feb 1 today I get there the service manger Don Woodbury gives me a dirty look when I pull in there sevice bay for a problem that I thought was scheduled for today and instead it's next week! no worries my error so he says to me see you gave us a bad review you know that hurt us over a car wash we have 6 locations and that is not something we offer here and was very Condescending and rude to me like over the top rude! And let me know from now on it would be crossed off from the bottom of work order because of ME! So lesson learned if they send you survey only fill it out if your Happy! He also sent me message letting me know that he could cancel my next appt if I would like so I guess my business isn't important to them how times have changed! read more

Just a little heads up about this dealership if they say they will return your phone call dont expect that to happen I called for information on a new truck and never got a phone call returned to me ,wouldn't recommend this place for even a cow turd .never again will I even consider this place. read more

Came in for oil change and tire rotation and they didn't rotate my tires. When I confronted them about it they said 'the tech said he did it' of coarse he said that, but it was obvious he didn't the tires had dirt on the nuts and rim and there was no hand prints or smudges from removing the nut and picking up the tire. read more

Receptionist was very helpful in answering some questions I had about the workorder printout and also corrected some errors in the computer concernig my vehicle. read more

Had been looking for a while for a new or used Tahoe. Jed and Eric remembered us and called as soon as they found us the perfect vehicle. Went in for a test drive and they were able to get us the numbers we needed when I didn't think it would even be possible. Extremely friendly and did everything possible for us. Made sure we didn't have to stay at the dealership all day and had us in and out in a record time! Will use them again and again in the future!!! read more

After searching online for a used Chevy Traverse at GM Certified dealers, I found one for sale at Charlie's. I sent a request for more info to the website and had a response very quickly. I conversed with the online person who gave me more info about the car, worked out an estimated financing option, and had someone take pictures and text them to me since there weren't any online yet (it was recently traded in). All communication was very timely. I dealt with 4 different guys; all were very nice, polite, and helpful. They took $1000 off the price and worked with us as much as they could to get it to fit as close to our budget as they could get. Once we signed on the car, one of the guys brought us out and sat in it with us just showing us all the features and what all the buttons did and answered any questions we had about how stuff worked. He also connected my phone via Bluetooth for the hands free feature. We got there 20mins before closing and they stayed at least an hour after closing to make it so we could leave with the car that night and without any questions. It was a relatively quick, easy, and painless car buying experience. read more

Charlies had never been at the front of my mind, I'd seen their ads on TV and they are all very nice and all of that, but I always figured that they were just a little too far away. I needed to move fast and so I spoke to the sales manager Tom. I told him about the SUV I wanted to trade, I told him the 3 prices that other dealers had given me for my incredibly clean low mileage vehicle and we talked about what he could do for me with a Traverse. He had a couple inc a 2LT which I really wanted to see. My plan was a 39month lease. I wanted a dealer I could work with, one I could trust that would treat me right both now and in the future. This was in my mind, not a onetime deal. In 39 months I would plan to get my next vehicle from them as well if it all worked right. Tom gave me a per month cost over the phone for the Traverse based on my description of my current car .It was right at the top end of what I wanted to spend, but for the right car was doable. . I also got a decent trade in value on my SUV sight unseen. This encouraged me to make the journey down. When I got to Charlies the next morning, I fell in love with the 2LT, it was the right car both inside and out, don't bother showing me anything else. This is the one, the new car that I was willing to give up my incredibly reliable, never let me down 9 year old SUV for. Ok let's do the deal... I went on a test drive and whilst that was going on, Charlies were going to value my trade. I get back and it's time to look at the numbers. This next bit was the final clincher for me. The Traverse I was wanting was a little more expensive than others I'd seen. I had no movement on the monthly figure I wanted to spend. Would I of walked away from the deal if Charlies all of a sudden gave me a monthly figure that was much higher than what I was quoted over the phone? Yes as the car wouldn't be doing that much mileage and I would have just spread my net further and gone to look at other brands as time went on. But no there was no need to do that as Tom stuck by the monthly cost he quoted me. It meant they had to add about $2k to the trade in value on my current car, but it got the deal done; right there and then, no messing about. I would have been an idiot to turn down the money they offered me for my trade. Deal done and I'm incredibly happy. I love my Traverse. I'll add another point too. I couldn't check the Traverse over on the day I bought it. It was storming outside and I did need to get back home for an appointment. The car was back at Charlies 10 days later to have some really nice looking chrome "sidesteps" added to aid my getting in and out (more on that in a sec). I had the steps added and drove back into Augusta for an appointment. After that I decided to do a check of the car to make sure everything like paint etc was in perfect order. OMG.. There were stone chips all over the front and a scratch on the back. I was gutted that I hadn't looked before but as I had faith in Charlies I drove all the way back to their base in Winthrop, saw Tom and the service manager and showed them the problems, reminded them of the storm on the day I bought it and they just said, "we'll take care of it".. That was reassuring that I made the right decision to come to Charlies. They told me to go back to Augusta to the crash repair centre and I saw the manager and it's all going to be taken care of for me. I like that a lot. Back to the chrome side steps. They retailed about $650 inc install. I got them to add it to the lease to increase the residual value of the car which should work well for me when I take it back in 39months and its time to trade again. It costs me just $8 a month. X that by 39 months and its only costing me $312. That half price! I just look at them as $2 a week.. Great deal there as well So if you have made it this far, you know what I'm going to say. Go to Charlies and they will look after you, treat you right and fair, not just before and during the deal being done, but afterwards too. I'm very happy indeed.. We were as surprised as anyone that we came home with a vehicle that day. Our intent was to "start the process" of shopping for a new vehicle, hoping to have a new vehicle by summer! We had checked a few other dealerships, tried out a couple of trucks, but just hadn't found what we wanted yet. Justin Staggs was very helpful, listened to what Mike wanted, brought out a couple of options, and took us out to try them. Mike quickly narrowed it down to the one he liked, and next thing we knew, we were talking numbers. Justin brought us in to talk further, got pretty close to the price we wanted to be at, and here comes Nelson. Smooth talking Nelson didn't keep us hanging and play all kinds of games, and got right to where we needed to be in just 2 trips to the "office" (whatever that is) Meanwhile, Justin was very personable and was able to answer all of our questions. Before too long, we were in Rogers office signing all the papers, and drove out of there in a couple of hours from start to finish with a brand new truck! The process couldn't have been easier or gone smoother. The people we encountered were all nice, kind, helpful. The showroom, waiting areas and restrooms, all clean and comfortable. The only thing we might suggest is the table we sat at to discuss numbers isn't very private, but there was no one else around, so it didn't matter. And there was that distracting Jimmy Buffet music playing to drown out anything we were saying anyway! Would we recommend Charlie's of Winthrop? Absolutely! We are big fans of not playing games, or wasting time, and we got exactly what we wanted and expected here. A great vehicle, at a great price, no hassle, no pressure.
