When I first moved to the state of Virginia from Brooklyn NY I moved to what they call the peninsula where I first noticed the chic-a-sea restaurants. Believe it or not I have never tried any of their restaurants for whatever reason, I can't say!. You're probably wondering why I decided to try it now, well a co worker and I had to bring a work truck to this side of the water from what they call the south side. My co worker made this seem like the best restaurant he had on this side of the water, so I said to myself. Why not?... I ordered a big chicken combo that comes with fries and a drink, then I called my wife and asked if she wanted anything and she wanted a big chicken but just the sandwich not the combo. My co worker also recommended the corn fritters which were ok, not bad at all.. my wife thought they were decent as well. But she said her big chicken sandwich was thin and it seemed like they cut the chicken breast in half and put it between the bread. I would hope they didn't but in any event she was not too pleased with it.. she also stated the chicken was bland and unflavored... My big chicken sandwich was not thin but was blend and unflavored as well. I will say my fries came out hot so no complaints there other than it was a kid size amount of fries for the amount you pay for in the combo price!!I would like to add my beverage that came with my big chicken combo was full of ice and very little beverage which after a few sips I was still thirsty because I had minimal beverage and a cup full of ice. I was not happy about that!. The overall cost was kind of pricey for what you get. Overall I gave 3 stars for my first visit. I would consider trying them out again but getting something different on the menu!.

Fish sandwich = 4. My daughter felt that it could have used more seasoning. Shrimp = 1. OMG!!! Had I known it was going to be this, I would've ordered something else. #1 - It was a basket that didn't include anything except the shrimp. #2 - They were frozen shrimp which were tasteless and not deveined. They were disgusting. For the cost, I truly thought it was going to be REAL shrimp which were hand breaded. Not!! 2 piece chicken snack = 2. He ordered 2 wings and fries with this snack. The wings were super tiny as if it came from a preemie chick. Lol. Definitely not worth the cost. The chicken was hot, but it could have used more seasoning. Chicken nuggets = 3. They were nothing more than fried Tyson dinosaur nuggets. My son enjoyed them For the most part but said that they were hard. I spent over $20 for this & ended up not eating those nasty shrimp. I wouldn't give it to a dog at this point. I guess I should have ordered something else because I don't see what everyone else is raving about. The parking is a mess as well!!! The lot is tiny & people park anywhere, leaving no room for the drive thru cars to pull around. It's just a mess.

They have a pretty extensive menu for a burger joint, with nine Valhallas (stuffed burgers), almost 2 dozen signature sandwiches (think patty melts), several regular burgers, hotdogs, and several sides including onion rings (they were out today), tots, several iterations of fries, and nachos. I ordered the Jana - a Valhalla stuffed with Swiss and Muenster cheeses and mushrooms, topped with a fried egg and "Viking Sauce," a sort of chili or meat sauce that seems to be made from turkey. It's huge- I practically had to unhinge my jaw like the Midgard Serpent to bite it! This is a $15 burger and it is well worth it. Understand that when they say "stuffed burger," it's basically two burgers with the stuffing squashed between them on a nice, big bun. I may not need to eat again today. My Bride got the Frigga sandwich - a beef patty with bacon, caramelized onion, Gouda cheese and grilled pineapple tidbits. At $11.50, it's reasonably priced, and must have been good- she wolfed it down like it was Tyr's hand. We opted for combos so we both got tater tots crispy enough to do ASMR videos with and drinks- they have both fountain and bottled drinks available. We had one of each. With Newport News' exorbitant meals tax, lunch came to $46 before tip. I'm not even mad about it- it was worth every penny. An excellent meal with some great customer service. I'm not likely to make the hour drive just to eat here, but I will certainly be back anytime I'm in town already and need to slay my hunger Viking style!

They were served hot, cheese melted all the way, and tasted terrific; the only problem was they were light with the meat. This is a very unique menu. They have sampler platters that can feed an army or combo platters that can feed two, and the price is right. You can mix and match them or have the pre-selected item. Now, let me talk about these wings. AMAZING! Fried to perfection, seasoned with a wet or dry rub, plain or on the side. The staff welcomed me when I walked in as always and took care of everything at the counter with no hassles. They had a few people there watching sports on the TV where it had a neighborhood feel.
