Hi folks,…read more THE FACTS: I invested $1000.00 American dollars BEFORE the current economic downturn. The current value of this investment is about $300.00 American dollars. On September 28,2010 i received a letter dated September 23,2010. The contents of this letter contained a change of policy that stated that on November 19,2010 all accounts with LESS than $750.00 American dollars will be assessed an annual service fee of $12.00 American dollars. The customer had options of: 1) Make an additional investment 2) Establish a systematic purchase plan 3) Consolidate all accounts. 4) Close the Account before November 19,2010 MY ACTION: I contacted INVESCO and spoke with Customer Service. I asked how many of these letters were sent out. The response was OVER 100,000 (ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND). I was told that this annual fee was to offset the servicing costs of the accounts. I filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission. MY OPINION UNDER FREE SPEECH: This 'servicing fee' will create a one day profit potential of over $1,200.000.00 (ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS) at the expense of its own customers. I believe this 'service fee' is being targeted at its lowest tiered customers instead of being an 'across the board' annual service fee. I believe that this fee is being implemented while these accounts are still being influenced by the poor economy. I believe that this change in policy is a "Cash Grab' by INVESCO at the expense of its lowest tiered customers while forcing the decison to either send them more money or close the account and 'just accept' the loss of our hard earned money. A CALL TO ACTION: I ask that anyone who would like to join me in peacefully protesting this action by INVESCO without malice, defamation or slander to contact the company at 1-800-959-4246 OR email: contactus@invesco.com I also ask for you to remember my situation in your future investing. I am just a regular person who is disappointed in the actions of INVESCO and wanted everyone who reads this to know. If you would like to join me in spreading this message around the world please feel free to copy and paste this in any email or website that you might feel would send a message that the average investor is tired of being taken advantage of for the profit of 'big financial companies'. Thanks.
