Winterholler Dental Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry - Payson

Nobody likes to go to dentist! However…read more..... Dr Patrice W and her staff are great. All of my appointments have been on time and with good results. The location of the office is very convenient, next to Payson Safeway.

The staff are very nice here and this is why thought twice before writing a review, but then I…read moredon't want others to make the mistake I made. I have had a few crowns done here and cleanings. On one crown that is seen when I smile the crown was smaller than my original tooth. I asked Mrs. Winterholler why that would be and she got offended saying it looked good to her and that my teeth weren't even straight anyway. I did have braces when I was younger and I told her that although I should've wore my retainer longer and my teeth may not perfect, I don't want to add more to make it worse. I want what my tooth looked like before. She made me cry at this point. She said they don't try to copy the original tooth and just make what they think will look the best. I proceeded to show her pictures of my original tooth and she did say for $150 she would redo it, but that she couldn't guarantee that it would be a better tooth and could damage my real tooth underneath. I opted not to have it fixed because I don't want to chance getting something worse. After all that I did go in for a cleaning and asked them to look at recent x rays because I was having some kind of pain around my crown they did a root canal on. The tech told me that I didn't have a root canal on that side. I made her look at my records and they didn't have anything charted about my previous dental work so I asked to look at the x ray and she said they don't get an x ray of the roots and I'd need to pay for more plus pay $80 for the doctor to see me. I asked her why take an x ray if you aren't going to check the root as well for preventative care?! I decided then and there that I was done. Just FYI the tech said we only x ray the root if you are having pain. Now I'm not a dentist, but isn't that a little late especially when you are seeing the dentist every six months for preventative care?! Also they are said to have started trying to make their own crowns and teeth in the back which may explain why they kept messing up on them or didn't get them right the first time. I would not recommend.
